Playing For Change (PFC) is a movement created to inspire and connect the world through music, born from the shared belief that music has the power to break down boundaries and overcome distances between people. The primary focus of PFC is to record and film musicians performing in their natural environments and combine their talents and cultural power in innovative videos called Songs Around The World. Creating these videos motivated PFC to form the Playing For Change Band-a tangible, traveling representation of its mission, featuring musicians met along their journey; and establish the Playing For Change Foundation-a separate 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to building music and art schools for children around the world. Through these efforts, Playing For Change aims to create hope and inspiration for the future of our planet.

Your lips to th gods ears, thanks🤠🍀
I think John Denver would be honored!
Toots, too...
Absolutely! 👏
This song is not just about West Virginia, its for anyone in the world whos missing their home!!!
True 😢
Exactamente! Estuve lejos de casa y es un sentimiento difícil de ocultar cuando se extraña al hogar. Regresé y estoy feliz por ello. Mi saludo especial para aquellos que por una u otra razón no han podido volver.
John Denver is surely smiling down from wherever he is.
Yes he is . ! .
Uh...that would be Heaven...it's in the song.
And surely he is smiling! Peace brother!
I'm smiling from wherever i is, at a crazy hard time on the planet. People, get together!
He would clapping along for sure.
John is probably flying, like he always loved to do. Just farther & faster than he could do here.
I'll bet the music is good there, you think?
WHAT A TALENTED WORLD OF BROTHERS AND SISTERS WE HAVE
Nice comment 👍
When we behave ourselves.
Amen. Glory be to God to witness it too. 😉
I love this comment!
Amen to that
I am in tears FAM!!!!! I am a West by God Virginian and I love you all! This is how we conquer the BS!
This shows we are all West Virginians. We are all Jamaicans, Italians, Irish...
It’s funny that people in Jamaica, Israel, and wherever else are singing about the tight, heavily wooded, winding roads between mountains and hills in West Virginia when they are in paradises themselves. All are beautiful and the production people and musicians fabulous.
Could they not sing about their own countries and instruments shedding light on the beautiful ways of their land languages and ways? I disagree. Mamma Africa Jah Herb from Tucson Arizona Sonoran 🏜️ desert 🍄🌵🇯🇲🇺🇸🇸🇪 Afro Viking.explore world musica
@@stephanlarsen8169, I wonder if I didn’t write well enough. I wanted to say they have such wonderful music in their own countries which partly makes up those paradises. They are performing music from another country and I am VERY grateful. I love the music. I would also love their music, I’m sure.
I keep thinking that the producers chose the US’s most uplifting music mostly because that means more donations.
I lived in the Caribbean and now WV, both are absolutely gorgeous and almost heaven in such different but similar ways it's hard to describe. Grenada and WV have the forests, mountains, and love for the simple life in common.
It's nice to appreciate the things that unite us.
I couldn’t have said it any better!
Music brings us together
Dad, Thanks for teaching me to fish. Fond memories with that ole jukebox. "Thank God, I'm a country boy". John Denver Thank you for the Love.
I'm from West Virginia and I've never heard this song sung better.

Very nice
music has no borders its a language that everyone speaks
i can imagine John Denver smiling about this. "thank each and everyone of you for what you do."
May the upcoming years be kind to all.
What a "GREAT" thing to say, and I couldn't agree more, if we ALL listened to Playing for Change, and came together like them, the world would be nice again . ! .
Amen

Google describes 'Playing for Change" as a shared vision between co-founders, Mark Johnson, Raan Williams and Whitney Kroenke. The world needs to know that these great, thoughtful, heart-in-the-right place guys have done a beautiful thing for the world and the musicians. May love always make itself felt in their lives. Well done!!!
Also the only good thing bill gates ever funded!
I love this. I'm a born and raised full blooded West Virginian and this does bring tears to my eyes seeing this performed by so many different people from all over the world. I hope that some day each of the performers have the opportunity to come and visit us here in Wild, Wonderful West Virginia and to see why we love our state so well.
I am a neighbor in Virginia and retired from the WV Air National Guard and spent time doing flood damage repair and snow removal. This song has some meaning to me
Gotta love songs like this that nobody looks or sounds wrong singing.
A tip of the hat to the technicians who put this together so seamlessly.

Brian Linville So true
Music was not created by the men, that's why it is sooo perfect.
It is almost the only way we can relate to any other man on the planet.
absolut! Brian, we are one big Family , wir haben alle das gleiche Herz
What a wonderful group of folks who do this.
This project has been one of the greatest additions to modern music in so long.

I hear her voice
In the mornin' hour she calls me
The radio reminds me of my home far away
And drivin' down the road I get a feelin'
That I should have been home yesterday, yesterday

Because of this song, I would like to visit West Virginia.
John Denver was before my time, but this is one of those songs that just transcends time and becomes timeless. I see covers of it from people in other countries and even some make the lyrics about their own homes, which is exactly what John Denver wanted the song to be about.
It isn't about the place, it's about the idea.
Looks like John Denver is still alive with this legendary song and I would say it's like a textbook for those who are learning Country Music.
Thank you to John Denver for the beautiful music and talent.
