Hi team! 💜 Hope this little tutorial was helpful 😄 In terms of sourcing the paper for your grid-spacing ruler, I always tend to use the paper from the notebook (or a notebook of the same brand and size) so that I know the length is correct 💪 This is why I always save my offcuts from Dutch doors and the like 👏 If you were having trouble with the calculations for your grid-spacing guide though, I do have a calculator that can do the work for you! 💜bit.ly/3qdJdzq
@jashicorrin Thank you for this video. I was *NEVER* good at Math, ( although I DID pass that subject ). Now, this " equation " is not THAT difficult to follow, I have an issue with the following . . . . . . . . . . I hope I don't confuse you with the following, *please keep in mind that Math was my weakest subject in school* , but suppose your bullet journal are as follows: 30 across & 40 down Do we 30 ÷ 2 or do we 1/2 of 30? Also, after we find the answer to half of 30, would the equation look like 15 ÷ 3 or 15 ÷ 1/3? Would the equation then look like this: 7.5 ÷ 4 or 7.5 ÷ 1/4? 🤔 *HHHHEEEELLLLPPPP ! ! ! ! ! !* 1:55 p.m. 😫😫😫😫
I've tried creating a grid spacing ruler multiple times now & it never turns out the way I wanted it to (because my brain tends to try & overthink it) - but this is going to be *so helpful* in setting up one for next year! Thank you!
I finally tried this out recently and it was such a game changer. Its saved me so much time when making my usual spreads. I wish I would have used this from the beginning.
O my goodness! I've only been using a bullet journal for 2 years but doing all the counting at set up time has made me crazy! What an awesome solution! Thanks you so much!
I made one like your b6 ruler. Where I use 2 and 4 as numbers to denote spacing. I think the words are far superior 🤣 much easier to remember what is for what
This is really helpful. I keep thinking I should make one but I like to make my life difficult and count it every time 🤣. Also hope you're feeling better
I’m on the road to recovery! And I feel you about making life difficult for ourselves 😂 a lot of the time I don’t trust past Jess to have counted correctly 😝
@@JashiiCorrin glad to hear you're getting better. I got covid this week so I feel your pain! Yeah I can never remember how many spaces mine has so I count it every spread lol
I just use a ruler. Metric system for the win! I tried a grid space ruler once, but the moment I added a page title, all the measurements became useless. The second time, I made a template instead: there's one weekly setup that I used for months, so I measured its parts and used one side for all the horizontal lines, and the other one for all the vertical ones (division lines, title positioning, date placeholders and so on).
Yeah I’ve typically been a just-use-a-ruler person myself, but have oddly found myself turning to this style of spacing ruler more 😄 probably because I don’t put too many divisions on it and those are the ones I use most often 💪
I don’t have a grid spacing guide specifically, but I have my B5 setup video that shows my grid spacing page if that helps! ruclips.net/video/OszskDAf9_I/видео.html
I laminated mine and can write on it with a dry erase marker incase I need some odd size that I wouldn’t regularly use.
Excuse me while I go out and buy a laminator 👀 haha but seriously 😝 that's a great idea!
Perfect idea!!
@@JashiiCorrin I had the same thought
Same😊
It’s so underrated the way she brilliantly provides numerous examples of length in this quick n dirty tutorial. Perfect for my adhd brain 🎉
Glad you liked it! 😄💜

I was reluctant to use it (no idea why, did I think it was cheating or something?) and now I’m totally sold on it 👏
Thank you! Your the best!

Cute! I'll have to do that the next time I do a Dutch Door. (Or use this as an excuse to do Dutch Door.)
Yessss, Dutch doors 🥳 I save all my Dutch door off-cuts for things like this 💪
I have yet to do one but I do need to. Thanks again for thinking about us slow pokes lol
Haha, all good 😂 I thought the slowed down version could be helpful 💜💪
Very VERY useful tutorial! Thank you Jess!
Most welcome! 😄💜
Thank you! I really love how you have thought through the details like page margins. This is so helpful!
Thanks Jen! Glad it’s helpful 😄💜
Thank you so much! I’ve been so confused the last 4 years. I never understood how to make one lol
Glad the video was helpful! 😄💜
Thank you so much Jess, this will make so much difference to setting up my next journal.

This will save me so much time!! 💜
Awesome! 😄💜 glad it will be helpful!
HI! Just catching up and saw your video - love it! I have 2 journals going this year - a travel journal and a bujo! Thanks for all the content!
Hi Laura! 😄💜 most welcome and hope you've been enjoying it!
