Lol it was me telling you to listen to the Pot (on a couple of your Rush reactions). I sensed you were a Tool fan just waiting to discover them 😂.
You have awesome Tool reactions. For sure you need to watch the Pneuma drum cam. Then personally I would recommend Euology, Right in Two, the Grudge.
I sense that every reaction channel personality is a Tool fan just waiting to discover them. Good on you to pass it along!
@@charliejaworski2562 I TOTALLY agree. 😆
Thanks for helping him discover Tool! His soundtrack of life will never be the same. I agree that the Pneuma drum cam is a must-do, and would probably be the best song for you to react to next. For you to HEAR though, I would recommend Aenima, H., Right In Two, The Grudge!
Went into the reaction thinking, “Why is this being requested so much?” Finished the reaction wanting more! Thank you 💯
Pneuma studio version first, then the live drum cam version!
Stopping between Parabol/Parabola is considered a crime in some countries.
it would be punishable by death in my totalitarian dictatorship.
should have recommended he just watch the Parabola music video.
It's a crime in all NATO countries, and some non-NATO countries.
In all countries
PNEUMA LIVE DRUM CAM!!! Danny Carey 🔥🐙🔥🐙
Came here to say this.
Yes!!!
This.
I honestly think he'll appreciate it more after stuff like ænima and lateralus but yeah I can't wait. Watching Danny at work is bliss
This is the way.
Lateralus, the title track for this album, is regarded as one of the best musical numbers of all time in terms of composition. An absolute must.
Yes. Boost this
As much as I love Tool I think that is just a bit over the top statement
Yes, considered one of the best musical numbers of all time by Tool fans. Of which, I am a member.
It's my favorite Tool song
By tool fans, yes, by everyone else, that's a big exaggeration
The Grudge, bro. The drums alone are worth it
And The Grudge is just so fast and almost chaotic, I think you will like it. Polyrhythms are your friend ...
Have a good day man !!
"It's already been 6 minutes?"
Tool will do that to ya.
15, 20 years ago where I live there was a radio station that had a weekly half hour dedicated completely to TOOL, and man, I looked forward to those two songs each week... 😅
AEnema with lyrics is a must, my friend.
The army will always tell you your favorite tool song is the last one you heard
IF YOU ENJOY TOOL, LET'S GET THE VIDEO TO 1K LIKES!!!
Try the next song by Tool called “Right In Two”
You really don't get the whole experience listening to Tool 1 song at a time. They don't write tracks like that. They callback to each other and fade from one track to another seamlessly..they just separate the tracks for naming purposes mostly.
Like Lost Keys and Rosetta stoned. They are actually the same song split in two tracks basically. Kind of like how a movie has three acts but they all need each other to make sense.
TOOL is like riding a rollercoater of musical enlightenment. just sit back and enjoy the ride.
"Think for yourself... question authority" - Timothy Leary
@@clescell6587 my first tool concert was when they opened with that. talk about a trip
Tool ..is one of a fucking kind ...
TOOL Army, unite for my dood here. Let's get him going on the right track...
The Grudge
Patient
Jimmy
H.
Aenima*
Cold n Ugly
Pneuma
Intolerance
Prison S*x
...etc...
And we can start throwing APC his way once he starts working thru most of tool
There are a TON of great rock and metal bands, not all of which will be for you.
BUT, there's only ONE Tool. When they started dropping albums in the early '90's, I had never heard anything like them and was immediately a fan. Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden and Tool have probably been 3 of the most influential bands during the evolution of metal in my opinion.
Keep listening and you'll find that Tool will eventually have you listening to music in general, differently. You'll be more... critical to detail and nuance. You may even find yourself somewhat bored with music you've previously enjoyed. Enjoy and embrace that growth and music will become even more valuable to you. Peace!
I applaud your comment as a well thought out representation of metal or rock music in general
Awesome reaction bro! If you like drums...THE GRUDGE!!
Danny himself has said that The Grudge is the most demanding song he's played.
You will love Vicarious and Right In Two if you love The Pot. Welcome to the Tool Army, bruh. Also, thank you for the supportive reminder before the reaction. I’m struggling through a temporary valley in life, but you’re right; It’s only temporary. 🙂
Two of my favorites
😅 Right in 2 .
is absolutely the hands down number one best song ever
Remember, we are eternal, all this pain is an illusion. MJK
Masterpiece. Speaking of Zepp, listen to their version of No Quarter and then listen to Tool's cover of it ( from Salival album).
Greatest cover of all time
@@hanparker8002 I like it better than the original but i have to say Jimi's cover of All along the watchtower is probably the best cover.
@@RosettaStoned462 very true Jimi made people forget Dylan wrote it to the point where Dylan changed how he performed it, also You Lied of the Salival album people don’t realize it’s a Peach(Justin’s original band) song
Gotta do The Grudge next bro, it will definitely pump you up guaranteed and a rollercoaster ride feeling.
This is my favorite Tool song, the switch is top tier and the song meaning is top tier, all this pain is an illusion
"Tool love them switches"
Well said man, well said
The Grudge
Ticks & Leeches
collect some calories to be ready for these :)
lol - I was just saying that Ticks & Leeches is the ONLY Tool song I could do without - BUT, it’s been years since I listened to it so I’ll give it another try…
@@kbaker412 wow I have never seen anyone have this take before. It's perfectly valid, but mannnn Ticks and Leeches is one of my all time favorites. The unfiltered rage and anguish, the texture, the bridge... it's one of the most visceral Tool songs in my opinion.
Thank you to whoever recommended The Pot, but more than that, thank You for actually following thru! ❤
P.S. Thank you for the positive bits at the beginning of your reactions ❤
So glad you are doing these tracks back to back. TOOL has a few cases where one track really does need to played after another. You are going to enjoy this ride! Let's do it!
Love it when we induct new members into the Tool army! Welcome my brother 🫡
“Drums”. Check out pneuma live drum cam. Danny is a beast!
You haven't heard anyone else like them because there is no one else like them. They are one of a kind.
Howdy once again, sir. I see a lot of Tool fans in here telling you about watching the Tool Danny Carey drum cam, next. I'd like to offer an alternative.
My suggestion would actually be to listen to the studio version of Pneuma first. You want to digest the band as a whole, and some of the band is swallowed by Danny Carey's dominant play in the video. So maybe you could do a 2 part reaction to digest Pneuma in its original form first, THEN be able to see the incredible technical proficiency of Danny, in the live video.
Obviously, I'm not forcing anything. Just offering up a suggestion, as I feel this would properly introduce the song, in its entirety. I say all this to say that the Pneuma drum cam video is THAT good.
By the way: At some point watch the music video for this song. The climax and conclusion of the song is explained vividly. Its pretty incredible. BE WARNED: Tool music videos are...strange.
Sometimes TOOL is crazy rocking and sometimes it's sit back with a beverage or a smoke and just chill.
“It seems like all hells about to break loose”
Boy, you don’t even know.
It may be time for you to see the Danny Carey drum cam video for Pnuema….🌀out… keep going 👍
Agreed - SO GOOD!!
Truly the best band on earth right now. Great reaction man! 🤘🌀
SOBER!!!! THE LIVE VIDEO!!!!
appreciate the kind words in the beginning bro🙏 needed to hear that, lost my job and my car and about to lose my apartment, so thank you, also SOBER by TOOL is fire, the live concert video is the best way to watch it
"Eulogy" would intrigue you.. Its off the Ænima album. Danny Carey slaps on that track
So jealous you get to experience this sonic goodness for the first time…
I feel like your intro was meant for me. I'm currently sleeping in a storage unit drinking warm water, and I haven't eaten in two days because I'm disabled and I got evicted. I wasn't even allowed to get all of my stuff from my house.
If you love the pot that much, you’re going to love vicarious. It’s kind of a similar feel but it has a very dark tone. It’s like some Batman shit
One day ppl will say there was never and will never be another band as magnificent and beautiful as tool.
You might like to know Danny Carey, TOOL’s drummer, drummed for Rush a couple years ago. They performed YYZ if you wanna look it up!
Should probs listen to the grudge next. Serious banger
Ooooh, that was deeply gratifying when you said "Six minutes went by that fast?!". That's the cool thing about this music: fifteen minute songs can feel like five minutes. That's the headspace you're looking for.
It's so wholesome to see someone new to Tool get hype as I did my first time. It really takes the tarnish off of a song that's old to me and reminds me of how fucking kickass it is and was.
That being said, I've been in the metal/alt business for a while, and nothing is quite like Tool. I'd love for you to smoke a joint and listen to Rosetta Stoned. That song reminds me of my LSD trip.
The pot isn't their best work but it's the best entry into tool for sure.. They have different flavors for different days but you can always recognize a Tool song.
TOOL - Sober (studio version)
I literally cried last year when I saw them live and they didn’t play Sober yet again. It’s a bucket list item to see/hear Sober live.
Tool is absolutely one of a kind. There are bands that try to imitate them, but they're the one and only. Also, Vicarious should be your next one to react to. You won't be disappointed.
Tool - Schism... Such a nice song!
Tool - Lateralus... Such a mathmatics and travel though dimensions... just crazy!
If you let them, TOOL will take you on adventures. No joke, kick back and put on the Lateralus album. Burn one and it'll take you somewhere special.
A parabol is a story with a moral message, usually spiritual. A parabola is used in math. They're saying that our existence is divine but that math and science don't disprove God or the spirit world
You’ll never hear anything else like Tool. Their music is extremely complex. Like I’ve said before, every song is a masterpiece. Like I saw in the comments… every reaction channel is a future Tool fan.
Danny's drum part near the end is probably my favorite Tool drum section and that's saying a lot when Pnuema and Rosetta Stoned exist.
The drumming on Rosetta Stoned is RIDICULOUS!!
Easily the best reaction page on RUclips
Vicarious and Right in Two really need to be what you do next! And just something that helped me when I became a fan in 2018; people are recommending them but before you watch any drum cams, make sure you listen to the studio version first
That uplifting monologue was absolutely spot on, since these two songs are about appreciating living and breathing on this planet despite the hardships you face in life. Loved this reaction, def keep the TOOL train going!
"Keep your head up, stay prayed up". I like that alot man, it's so important to stay in prayer.
Talk about a work out song, “this body holding me reminds me of my own mortality.”
I’ve been listening to Tool since the mid 90s and one thing I learned over the years is to not try so hard to “find the one,” just get into the feeling of the sound of the instruments, the arrangement and the mix.
AENEMA!!!
AENEMA!!!
ANEMEA!!!
You’ll dig that sh…
Evertime I hear MJK scream ALIVE!!!! i get shivers. His voice throgh this album and others is truly hypnotic at times.
You can't go wrong with any Tool song.. every single one is worth hearing over and over
My dude there is only one tool. No one better no one like them
Welcome to the TOOL ARMY brother!!! Happy to have ya! One note I'll add (I'm sure others have)....have the lyrics of the songs off to the side and have a look at those as well, it adds so much more depth to the song when you catch some of the bars Maynard brings
I hope you listen to Ticks & Leeches. Curious how you’d like that song.
Mathematical journey in the mighty world of Tool!!! Welcome to the family friend ❤️❤️❤️
"Their best work" is subjective. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It's a tie between "The Pot" and "Schism" as far as what their "best" is to me🤘💯
Now you just need to experience their live show. They are still tight even in their 60’s. Justin Chancillor is the same age as me(54) and a mastermind of the bass.
The lyrics of this song make my heart feel good every time I listen to it! It's so beautiful, full of poetry, gratitude and hope... Wonderful!
I really really urge you to listen to all of their albums in order. Just take a couple days sit back with no energy drink this time and absorb. It feels like you're getting a glimpse of what your own personal evolution can be.
And you're absolutely correct that a lot of their songs are phenomenal for working out to! I personally loved it listen to "Invincible" in the gym, and I think you'll love it too. To me, it's an honest song about how it feels growing older and not wanting to lose your fire and warrior spirit.
The beauty of TOOL is everyone gets a mind blowing solo, the genius of TOOL is they do it at the same time.
Not gonna lie, I never tire of seeing people lose their minds to this band. I feel the same.
If you like TOOL.. check out a band called MANES.. and their album "Slow Motion Death Sequence"
I forgot to add Invincible. My favorite bands are Tool, Black Sabbath, and Pink Floyd.
The intro for this almost reminds me of "The Doors" tbh.
Never seen some1 so pumped and jacked up from this song duo. PNUMA drum cam will have u wildin out
They’re one of a kind for sure!!
To me, The Pot is their most energetic song like what you’re looking for. There isn’t anything else they’ve done that’s like it or can match that type of vibe.
I think you would like Stinkfist, it’s at least got the kind of energy I think you’re looking for.
Loving the reactions bro I’m here for it! 🔥
Love the positivity and your genuine love for experiencing new music. Tool is one of those bands that gets better with every listen and they really don’t have a bad track. I’ll give you my recommendation for 2 tracks I think you’ll like the most on each album.
‘Opiate’
-Hush
-Opiate
‘Undertow’
-Prison Sex
-Bottom
‘AEnima’
-Stinkfist
-AEnema
(‘Pushit’ and ‘Third Eye’ are so epic you’re not ready for them yet)
‘Lateralus’
-Ticks and Leeches
-Lateralus
‘10,000 Days’
-Right In Two
-Rosetta Stoned (not quite ready for this one either)
‘Fear Inoculum’
-Descending
-7empest
This is an incredible journey you’ve started yourself on and I’m excited for you bro! Can’t wait to see the next one!
I saw Tool back in 2001 (a week after 9/11) in CT. Their live performance of this was incredible!
Tool and Led Zeppelin = subscription. My man
Push it! And Bottom! You could go any direction but these 2 are heavy dope tracks that'll get your blood flowing for sure!
You gotta watch their artistic video that coincides with it, Thank you for that intro I usually skip over everyone's lol that hit hard and it hit home💯 respect from east coast Canada 🇨🇦
Ones favorite tool song is always the one they are currently listening to. The entire catalogue is worth reacting to.
you know what every new tool fan needs? Some Primus to switch it up. If you like bassists that go absolutely buck wild, Primus' song "Jerry Was A Race Car Driver", "Wynona's Big Brown Beaver", or "My Name Is Mud" are good intros into the weird world of Primus.
This song is so hilarious in the age of streamers who don't know it's a two-parter. Album, they just fade into each other, so you don't even think about it.
Time does not pass while you’re listening to TθθL. It is conceivable to achieve immortality by creating/playing a mix wherein there are no gaps between their songs.
"It seems that all hell is about to break loose when we go to Parabola!" hahahaha You got it, Man.
God damn, the transition ALWAYS makes me feel like I'm about to explode. Absolutely one of my favorite Tool numbers and one definitely played at high volume.
Welcome to the Tool Army, JayTDeion! I've been thoroughly enjoying your reactions.
Next "Pneuma Drum Cam Danny Carey".
Pneuma with the drum cam live if you love drumming. A masterclass in rhythm
I like your energy bro welcome to the tool family and enjoy the ride🤘😎
Right in Two is outstanding
Saw "The Pot", and "46 & 2", but this popped up in the feed, and I was like, 'this young man is about to learn'. Love these real reactions. I've been listening to these guys since I was a teenager in the 90s. And I think I speak for every TooL fan when I say... ...Welcome to the family.
Edit: my new favorite is Fear Inoculum in case you need something to listen to ... haha
I believe it's high time for Schism
It feels that you are ready for it
(It's the song that opened the window for the music community worldwide.
Few of us knew them before the album Lateralus and the song Schism
But the first time hearing that piece of music, it was ....................)
Time travel… focusing with intent, the way tool masterfully builds tension, holds your attention and after all that build up, they reward you with drops that pull it all perfectly back in order….. it’s an experience… it’s like a flow state of listening… time travel.
AEnem next.
All the Tool fans here are here to witness you experiencing our favourite band for the first time, enjoy I'm jealous! Salutations from Ireland.
Drum solo for the end live you need to watch
Anytime I see a first time reaction to parabol/parabola I watch with anticipation as to whether or not they pause at the wrong time…. And they more often than not miss the sickest drop known to man!
TOOL, is indeed one of a kind.
Yessirrrrr Tool is goated.
If I may suggest…listen to this band in chronological order. Oldest to newest. The comments will be warring over the best tracks or their fav’s or whatever; but you’ve already tapped in to the fact this group is cumulative in the metaphorical sense. They built upon their sound foundation. I’m 44, I first heard Sober and got Undertow as a cassette. CDs were available at the time I was just a poor kid. Anyway, I did my research found Opiate; and then grew up listening to them grow musically. Again just a suggestion. You’re gonna want to hear all the songs, you might as well start at the beginning.
They definitely have an evolution to their music.
Bro you are legit in my top 2 reactors when it comes to TOOL energy. I fucking love it man! We all do. Welcome to the cult...I mean... army.. yeah army... that's what I said, right?? TOOL ARMY... yeah that's totally what I said. WELCOME TO THE TOOL ARMY!!!😉👍😈...............(I think we got another one folks!!!)
One that hits home for us older cats that grew up with Tool is.... "Invincible". Check that out
Discovered you literally 30 minutes ago and am so impressed how far down the TOOL rabbit hole you have been in as little of time. Regardless, i feel ya brother, GOD Bless your energy and heart!
