This is my simple guide on how to stream on an m1 mac. This guide also works with the new M2 macs and even M1 Pro and M1 Max and M1 Ultra. Easiest guide on how to stream on twitch or youtube using a mac.

You would need to buy the Elgato 4K60S+ to work with Mac. All the other Elgato 4k capture cards are PCIE (internal PC cards). Welcome to the channel!

Yes, a switch is an HDMI device. It will stream. Unless you have a Switch Lite.

yes, anything that outputs via HDMI will work.

I would really appreciate any help I’ve used all your tutorials and my stream is great BUT the colors are horrible when I go back and look at my stream please any color correction tips are appreciated the colors are dark/yellowish and washed out
Disable auto white balance on your camera. If the colors are bad in the game stream then thats and HDMI cable issue or capture card issue.
Hi, is there a way possibly using Console or Terminal to look up the Name of the Hard Drive of the file that is in that hard drive? Basically, I accidentally overwrote my secondary storing drive that stores all my docs and files for my main drive. So, if I open up an app in my main drive, it seeks that file on my secondary storing drive. Now that secondary drive was overwritten, it gave that hard drive another name. I forgot the name of that secondary drive that files are not able to be found, as it needs the original name of that secondary drive to link the files. Is there a log file that would show a past link and the name of the drive that it was opened up in? I hope what I'm sharing makes sense and look forward to your reply.

whats wrong with slobs?
SLOBS is basically a skin over top of OBS Studio, and I just find the stability on mac very poor. I also don't like how tied in with Streamlabs.com SLOBS is and it tries to push you to upgrade to their premium package.
Ahh having to set PS5 to 1080p sucks. Why won’t it let us passthrough the 4K signal & capture 1080, like it does on windows?
Get a different capture card if thats such a deal breaker for you 🤷🏼
@@FornaTRON my card supports 4K passthrough, live gamer ultra… just doesn’t work on M1Pro. Works fine on windows, which I’m hoping to eventually get away from.
The issue is only being able to pass through 60hz. Current warzone on ps5 doesn’t take a hit from this but come December 3rd I like to believe we will be able to play at 120. I’m having the same issue with my Astro a50s and can’t decide on another headset as I do like these and don’t want to spend money and be disappointed. Any insight?
If you want to stream your gameplay, you will have to deal with the game running at 60fps. Or you will have to shell out the money for a capture card that supports higher framerates. Avermedia sells one but I think its like $400. So you just gotta ask yourself is it worth that much?
@@FornaTRON thanks for the reply man, I binge watched about 15 of your videos last night. Do you think it’s worth being able to play at 120hz? $400 is a pretty pricey experiment. Not to mention still having to get a new headset, you have to believe Astro will come out with a ps5 specific version at some point. Don’t even get me started with Scuf.
@@FornaTRON looks like the Live Gamer Ultra (GC553) on sale for $179 would be capable of passing along 120hz! 240 actually. Hmm. Maybe worth giving that a try with the steel series 7P or the pulse 3Ds. 🧐

What if I want to stream Tetris NES on my Mac mini? Which card do I need?
Non you can just do display capture in OBS Studio while you run an emulator
@@FornaTRON thx i ordered a clone system and bought a tetris cart, but then i downloaded openemu for mac and some roms and now I need a nes controller converter to usb lol then I think I can mess with the settings in OBS thx it's hard to find an actual nes to usb converter tho. I don't want to also buy a usb mod controller just use the same one the system has with is cadet controller

dont know what to tell ya then dude. Im using an M1 Mac Mini and it crushes 1080p 60fps streaming. On the 13" 2012 MacBook Pro that only had a dual core CPU and integrated graphics. I had to put it at 720p 60fps and that also worked fine.
So I am going to assume you are doing one of these things
1) You have your capture card plugged into a USB hub or you are using a cheap USB C to USB A adapter.
2) You are using Streamlabs OBS instead of OBS Studio
3) You don't have the internet bandwidth to sustain that upload rate, or you are on WiFi.
4) You have added a bunch of web elements to your stream for overlays and stuff and its bogging down your performance.
None of the above, I have a 2017 MacBook Air with a usb hub with Ethernet for my mic and webcam. My mac doesn’t have any usb c so I used the included cable from elgado straight into the Mac. Running obs studio because slobs is brutal. If I switch it to windows it works completely fine in 720 not 1080 though
