- Coffee Kevin makes a Chemex using their latest Chettle while discussing the benefits of various kettle options. He explains why a gooseneck kettle offers extra control, while wide-mouthed traditional kettles offer more oomph, each affecting extraction. He shares his feelings on different brewing temperatures, including his most used one.

I feel like I just watched a nostalgic 80's infomercial! Great job! Loved all the detail, I'm new to home brewing and I fell in love with the chemex, thank you for this video!

Thank you, Mr Carter.
The camera and views of the brewing process are very good, i also apprecialove the slow methodic and easy to understand narration.
Thank you very much!
Product manual says not to use this kettle on non-chemex induction cooktop. But will the kettle work on a regular induction cooktop?
I prefer glass or ceramic over any other material for high temperature application. It's extremely rare to find products such as this.
Thank you for your comment and question. I don't have a good answer for you. I know the Chemex Glass Kettle will work handily on a gas burner. I use it often, and, as you mention, it is glass and truly inert in its ability to handle water without adding a taste of its own. Chemex Customer Service would be my recommended go-to. They are a small family business and have been very responsive to my previous hundred or so inquiries. Warm regards, Kevin
