Thank you for the review, it is very thorough and informative. If I don't like the one I just purchased I am definitely going to give this one a try. Love the waterfall by the way, so pretty!
@@AtHomewithLucas Yeah, I definitely recommend the aeropress. Very cheap. Slight learning curve, but easy after you get the hang of it. You can then experiment with the variables (amt. of coffee, temp, brewing time, etc.) until you find a combination that gets great coffee. I just use a regular electric kettle - When I brew the coffee, the water should be less hot than boiling.
Just got one last week. There are 2 issues. 1. Thermometer does not have 1° scale. It may 10° scale. 2. Water dribbles down spout on to counter or on to my nice wood floor! And yes, I only filled to MAX line.
@@AtHomewithLucas hmm that's strange there would be variability in spouts to cause one to dribble and another not. Have you tried very slow pour with water at max fill line?
You have now had this for 6 months Lucas. Since this is XL, is 40 ounces of water ( max) accurate? Have you found other issues that would make you have second thoughts about buying one? I have a 10 cup Chemex, so need a goose neck that will do more than 1 or 1.2 liters. Thanks and keep making good and useful reviews.
I give it 2 out of 5 stars. You are obviously easily impressed by boxes and shiny things. The pot actually SUCKS!! It dribbles coming out spout when filled to MAX line. Also, suppose to be able to tighten handle but I tried using every type screw driver and nothing fit the screw head so I was not able to clean inside cause couldn't reach inside to clean.
Oh sorry to hear that. Hope you can return it. If you bought it from Amazon you should be able to return it (even after return time expires) because I haven't had any of your problems. Also I just reviewed BW pour over kettle that might be perfect for you (less complicated) 👍💯😁
@@AtHomewithLucas it's not a complicated pot. It doesn't perform well as gooseneck pourover kettle! The instructions say you're supposed to be able to tighten handle if it becomes loose and they actually show a flat had screw driver being inserted into handle to tighten. But when a standard flat head screw driver is inserted there is no slot for turning the screw. I wanted to remove thermometer holder to reach into pot to clean it with a sponge, as suggested by instructions, but with thermometer holder attached a hand, especially a man's hand, can't fit into the kettle. The only way to clean inside is with use of cleaning solutions sold that don't require scrubbing such as the type sold to clean coffee carafes, coffee makers, and espresso machines. As full exposure I did contact via Amazon and was given a full refund. The kettle is not designed well at least the version I have isn't. Your review was not complete and gave your review a thumbs down.
THE THERMOMETER PULLS OUT! ITS IN HEAT RESISTANT sleeve! I personaly don't see problem with readability of the scale. You didn't do a pourover with it so you didn't notice that doing a slow pour water trickles down outside of spout.
Okay well I've been using for some months now so I probably should do a follow up review. This thing is great but the thermometer is still the weakest part.
Great question 🤔 I have no answer...also if I turn on mid Ad's I have no control on how many Ad's play. Also also I make coffee reviews showing me using this Kettle 💯😁

Happy you like the review and I can say all these month's later it's still amazing. And thank you 😊
Nice vid - I've been using the aeropress for about a year. I don't really use any other methods, as that has given me the most enjoyable coffee.
Thank you 😁 do you use a pour over kettle for the aeropress? I need to buy one to review and use 👍😁

Sounds like you got a defective unit I'd send it back ASAP
Mine never dribbles at all

Yes 56oz but max just less then that...no issues just really like how easy it is to clean inside and out 👍

So you watched my review then bought the kettle?
