I'm 20 years old and I'm a powerlifter, I currently DL 250kg, Squat 260KG, and bench like 140kg due to wrist issues (Carpal Tunnel prevents me from pushing my bench up), and these videos are so incredibly useful for me to maximize what I can do. What's amazing is this is 3 years ago and that strength philosophy would still stand for the type of training he was doing, but now moving over to bodybuilding he's starting to understand the difference with not just moving it from a to b and that shows real understanding. What a role model

You explain the reasoning behind why you train a certain way and how you've done it in the past. Many say a 4 day split like you and most other accomplished strongmen do isn't a good way to train. But there's got to be a reason top athletes train just like that. Thanks a bunch for the video, it helps me a lot.
The reason is that eddie and all the other strongman are on steroids. No hate but its true. Thats why bro splits provide great results for them but not for you. Assuming you are natty copying their training isnt the most optimal for you!
@@maxbremer903 I'm not natty. I feel like roids aren't specifically the reason brosplit becomes viable, but that's just what I think. I know Hafthor does more of a push/pull split with leg and deadlift days on their own. I did his workout program for some time and definitely saw pretty good gains, but I feel like brosplitting is the way to go now.
The “bulldog” grip is great advice, literally added 10% to my bench once I tried it. The incline press-ups are also great for post-pump, it really does turn your chest blue!

With these guys putting out such great content, I will be able to get stronger and hit goals I have been trying to reach for a long time. I have started incorporating things Eddie, Brian and Thor do and I have seen a great improvement. Maybe one day I could work out with them.

Mr. Hall, at 3 mins 45 seconds in you said something that gave me chill bumps. I'm 46 years old. I've said all my life that I need 2 weeks to recover. And all my life i've been met with "ah you're just being lazy, it doesnt take that long to recover." or "No pain, no gain!! Work that sourness out!! Push yourself". And I see all these big names working out on Mon. Wed. Fri on the same muscle groups. So i try it and that never works for me. I thought maybe its just me, or maybe its because I have hypothyroidism. But to hear the strongest man in the world say the same thing ive said all my life, and been completely alone in my belief, it's like thinking i was the only Kryptonian on the planet then find out there's another one!! Truly a life changing event for me. I would like for you to do a video touching more on the subject, going more into detail about the mid workout. i think you called it "a week of speed". And exactly how you do heavy chest one week then heavy tricep the next.

I also do shoulder dislocators with a dowel rod to warm up at home before I chest day, and a 20-40lb resistance elastic band once I’m at the gym and repeat between sets. Helps with keeping the shoulders loose
