Not because Ben lost necessary but because he lost to a DC character who has more than 60 years of history throughout many stories to pull from even to this very day Vs Ben 10's 18 years of history and one main continuity. Its just not fair and you knows who's gonna win everytime. DC characters are beyond busted. The fight itself could have been the saving grace but Ben doesn't use a fraction of his aliens and Hal doesn't do anything interesting with his constructs. The way Ben dies and the explanation on why he lost was so sloppy. They didn't cook with this one.

It's an issue DB has in general with insisting on using composite characters, characters with more history (ESPECIALLY comics) will have an insane advantage over the series with less history. Ben would wash any consistent version of Green Lantern but there's always going to be one continuity or storyline with an insane feat putting Hal above him.

The only way for omnitrix to mutate your dna is if the device is broken itself. Also the omnitrix self defence has no cool down. As far as we know Ben can always instantly transform when his life is in danger.

As a Ben 10 fan I understand that Green Lantern can win. But what I don't understand is their awful portrayal of Ben. It's like they decided "Okay, Hal wins!" and then didn't give a single damn about what they do or say for Ben. The only scenario I see Green Lantern getting cooked around here is him fighting against an actual Celestialsapien, the time travel feature would be useless cause he'd find the same mf just waiting for him inside/outside time and space, but again, the death battle is about Ben so its end is pretty reasonable.
I think the problem with this battle is not facing their strongest powers directly and end the battle with it, for example they say that Green Lantern scales way above Alien X and can survive being erased from existence, then make him fight Alien X even though the latter loses, something like Joker vs Giorno, Giorno did not lose his powers and then lose, but rather he fought with everything directly, same with Goku against Superman I'm sure people wouldn't have been upset if Alien X had been defeated and the battle ended immediately, instead of just human Ben being killed

The only scenario I see Green Lantern getting cooked around here is him fighting against an actual Celestialsapien, the time travel feature would be useless cause he'd find the same mf just waiting for him inside/outside time and space, but again, the death battle is about Ben so its end is pretty reasonable.

I think the problem with this battle is not facing their strongest powers directly and end the battle with it, for example they say that Green Lantern scales way above Alien X and can survive being erased from existence, then make him fight Alien X even though the latter loses, something like Joker vs Giorno, Giorno did not lose his powers and then lose, but rather he fought with everything directly, same with Goku against Superman
I'm sure people wouldn't have been upset if Alien X had been defeated and the battle ended immediately, instead of just human Ben being killed
From my experience, people would have been even worse if they saw their "invincible omnipotent god of everything who can never lose" lose.
