Brandon Coe people say he is trash just because of one season in 2013. It’s funny how one terrible season can make half a decade of good work redundant
Rogelio Soto Andre Johnson never had to face lob and no fly zone . Ramsey . Sherman . Gilmore . PAt Pete . Lmfaooo and more your a lil kid . I forgot I can’t argue with under 16 years old . They just watch ESPN 🤣
Well, I do agree 98% with ya. What really held us back was a shitty secondary. Kareem Jackson was, and has been trash!! Remember that year when we faced GB and New England?? We got stomped on National TV both times. And it was because of our secondary and overall playcalling on Defense.
@@BRO77TX I can feel that...BUT Jackson was thrown into the fire and baptized as rookie. After that he really got a bad rep, and was the victim of horrible p.i. calls and penalties.
The 2012 Texans were an interesting collapse. Started 11-1, then got absolutely destroyed in New England and never quite recovered after that. It's pretty sad, considering all the talent they had on offense, and the fact that Matt Schaub had a career year, that they weren't able to put it together and make a run for a Super Bowl.
@@oblivion85 Yeah, that was one of the weirdest 2 season stretches I've seen for any team. Schaub went from a borderline elite QB to basement dweller and that began the era of poverty QB play for years in Houston before Deshaun Watson came to town.
Smug Tomato seriously tho I never seen a qb regress that fast the whole team took a step back really that shit was weird considering we had a good enough but we really didn't trust schaub
This was a great game they always battled this was revenge for the Hail Mary game a couple years before that Andre Johnson was basically Julio Jones before Julio a straight beast💪💯
Theirs no question about Justin Blackmons talent. He could easily be a top five WR. It's his personal problems that drove him out the league 😭 I still remember when the Jags took him I was like he's going to be a beast. Would could of been.
I remember this game too... But OILERS game at Kansas City in 1990 season with Warren Moon... over 500 yards is forever in my mind. NFL THROWBACK can you see that game?????
Matt Shaub at quarterback. A defense that can't play zone or man coverage. A GM who couldn't draft past the 1st round. A coaching staff that didn't adapt. This was really the beginning of the end for the Kubiak era.
People forget how good Schuab was. Maybe its because of Shanahans and Gary Kubiaks offense, but he was really good in his time with the Texans. Th Funny as soon as he left they built a defense lol
the colts were playing the pats right after this and i remember being so pissed that i couldnt watch the game in the west coast. Brady ends up smacking Luck like 60-20 that game anyways. This was the game to watch after all
What ever happened to Justin Blackmon? He had a really good year and next year he never showed up to games? I'm a Texans fan but that dude looked scary good
The jags were so laughably bad during these years. I stuck with them, and I’m still sticking with them. Justin Blackman should’ve been in the conversation for greatest wide receiver of all time, dude was so talented, just couldn’t stay away from alcohol and marijuana. One of the biggest busts ever.
Just think...the early ‘10s Texans had some good players, but mediocre teams. And what held em back?? DEFENSE!! This game was evident of that Surrounding 37 pts to a 1-8 team *smh* Drafting Kareem Jackson really set the secondary back BIG TIME!! And if only we could have had DeShaun at QB and we retained Vonta Leach!! (letting go of him was STUPID!!) And Rick Smith overstayed his welcome by 5 yrs at least!! Man...what might have been 😔
I was ok with this mediocre Texans team. I am not okay with today's mediocre team. So much more talent currently and still mediocre. I also miss the play action. Bill o brien doesnt even use play actions even though he should with a QB like Watson.

Jacksonville don't have NFL team they like Atlanta Falcons Dallas Cowboys Houston Oilers Los Angeles Raiders and Los Angeles Rams in Jacksonville Florida demographics from 1970 to 1993 era
Is Andre Johnson the hall of famer
Yes or no
@James Vs. Movies He's first ballot
Of course he is
Easily, the question should be if he is a first ballot or not
Karo French no chance, have you seen how hard it is for wide receivers to be first ballot HOFers?
@@stealthiscool Randy Moss was first ballot and Larry Fitz will be too.Megatron too.
In this game, Matt Schaub had the second most passing yards in a single game in NFL history, with 527, tying with Warren Moon.
And he just had 460 with the falcons too
He had a pretty good run for like 6 years as a starter & ppl say hes trash smh. that connection with andre was niiiiiice
Brandon Coe Yep and Arian Foster was dominant for a few years playing alongside them as well, offense was underrated for sure
Brandon Coe people say he is trash just because of one season in 2013. It’s funny how one terrible season can make half a decade of good work redundant
stealthiscool and he was reduced to a career backup a year later it’s fucked up
I miss Andre Johnson. He was the face of the Houston Texans Franchise at WR
Sports 311 Hopkins better buddy lmfao y’all got something completely better

I swear, the Texans Jaguars rivalries have some of the most epic conclusions I've ever seen in a football game.
Most definitely
@@JamieJonesyt Couldn't be more right after that last game
Damn I miss Andre Johnson. Really special player and an even better person.
Andre Johnson was such a treat to watch. BTW it sure seems like Chad Henne's been around FOREVER.
As a jags fan I always forget how long he played for the jags lol
JUSTIN BLACKMON HAD THIS GREAT GAME AND THEN DIPPED
I completely forgot about him until I found this game
Man if only Justin Blackmon hadn't gotten into all that trouble off the field we'd be looking at a future HOFer for sure.
Blackmon was a Jalen Ramsey level talent for sure. He was amazing.
Like Josh Gordon
@@koolkitties8552josh got so many chances tho
If Andre Johnson had anything remotely close to Watson... We'd have a couple of Superbowl Rings!

Masego Flames A healthy Schaub in 2011 and the Texans win the SB let alone Watson

watching these vids looking at old familiar faces crying inside
Always dug this era of Jacksonville uniforms.....
It's wild to me that the Jags have had three different uniforms in just this decade alone!
Matt Schaub is the outlier included in stats about extreme passing yardage
Schaub had an offensive line Watson dreams of having

The Texans at 8-1, I don’t think we’ll see that again anytime soon.

Awesome to see the game that set a top ten passing record
Andre Johnson HOFer! Also Foster ran so smoothly it was like poetry.
Nice job to NFL Throwback

I like it!
Paul Poszluszny was incredible
That Matt Schaub/Andre Johnson play-action rollout bomb was so deadly during this era
Blackmon/lewis combo had the potential to be a great duo.
Offensively, this is how the Texans should have played against the Jaguars this past Sunday, when they only scored 3 points.
Cecil Shorts was very underrated, if he stayed healthy he would have been consistently good
