Below is a submission letter to a local law firm regarding my daughter. In the spring of 2011, I enrolled in the Vet Tech program at Vatterot College in Omaha, Ne. Shortly after beginning my education, I received good grades and an academic achievement award. Later, I became involved in a relationship with another student. This student had a prior motor vehicle homicide conviction, which I found out through the school Veterinarian and other instructors and was advised to stay away from him. I did however continue this relationship over the last 3 years and am still currently with him. Over the last 3 years, I did finish and pass all required classes for a Vet Tech degree with great difficulty. It did seem that many of the instructors including the the Veterinarian went to great lengths to bully and intimidate me in an attempt to make me quit. I also was failed many classes by small margins by questionable grading when other had the same answers but were favored by some of the instructors. During these difficult 3 years, I have been put on an anti-depressant by my physician and was also hospitalized for a stomach ulcer. On one occasion when taking a final on a particular class, I requested to use the bathroom for a chronic problem I have been having. I was told by the instructor that I would not be allowed to leave the class room or I would fail my test automatically. I explained that I was having female problems and was experiencing pain and requested someone go across the hall with me to ensure I was not attempting to cheat. My request was denied and I finished the test with many answers open because of having a hard time to concentrate. After classes, I did go to my doctor and after a UA was taken, it was found that I had a severe case of Urinary Tract Infection and was given antibiotics, pain pills, and a doctors note. When I discussed my problem with the Vatterott Veterinarian in charge of all the instructors, she would not take the note and dismissed the problem. I did have to take the failed class and test again for another 10 weeks. Over the last year, I did manage to get some photo documentation of violations of the college and instructors and audio recordings of unethical behavior by instructors. I also have evidence and a witness of a Hippa Violation regarding me and my grades and graduation situation to employer of mine. Although, last year I attended a graduation ceremony and have a graduation program showing my name as a graduate of Vaterrot along with pictures of me in my graduation uniform, walking the stage as well as video footage, Vaterrot stated that my education was still incomplete because of a failing grade that was discovered in two classes after the fact. I did honor this demand by them and retook several 10 week classes that finally exhausted my student loan money. Shortly after beginning the externship program, I was unable to quickly find an employer that would provide me my continuing education and Vaterrot provided no help in this part either. When I was finally able to get into a vet clinic on my own for the externship program, I was notified by Vaterrot that I was being dropped from the Vet Tech program and was told not to return to the college. I was mailed a drop letter that was insufficient that made it appear that I had quit. Finally I did receive an official but a default drop letter but it very generic and doesn’t show why I was dropped.

I got an Asssociates Degree from Vatterott in Computer Technology, and I still could not get my foot in the door for a good job!
