  • Betahaus is a coworking space that offers shared work spaces, meeting rooms and also tools for those who want to develop their own projects in a more informal, relaxed environment.
The group chose the place because it represents a new form of space in the cities, which challenges the traditional mode of production and concept of compartmentalized office spaces. In a shared space, collectivity can lead to new forms of creation and enhanced cooperation, which itself is one of the essences of the formation of the cities.
Workshops are one of the most interesting tools that a visitor can explore in this kind of place, as long as it offers a possibility to show and test new ideas, and also gather supporters. One could also take advantage of all the machinery and tools provided, using for example the 3-D printers available to develop small scale models for his projects. Finally, there the open source philosophy finds a suitable way of showing its benefits: Alone, ideas are hard to develop, but a collaborative idea space under one roof, can make undiscovered linkages possible.
