This is what a foreign born Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Sri Lankan or Nepali used to think but in reality if you interview people from their respective countries the answers would have been way different. So this video is not creditable enough to tell what real South Asians think about each other. South Asia has the most complex and difficult geo politics. Even sometime comparable in terms of complexities to middle East or Sub sharan Africa on basis of religion, race, languages, ethnicities and ideologies. The best example is the comment which proves my assessment very well.
This wasn't supposed to be a serious discussion about geo and sociopolitical issues within South Asia. This was meant to be light hearted. Plus it seems like the majority of the participants are not foreign born.

Bangladeshi Bengalis look similar to either South Arabian people, North indians, North East indians, East Indians or to the Burmese people of Myanmar. So that shows Bengalis have diverse genes are more mixed either Bangladeshi Bengali or indian Bengali. Conclusion: Bengalis don't look like Sinhalese ❌ both are different groups of people with nothing in common.

In South Asia we can easily categorize the countries based on their character... As a Singaporean traveler who's been to all of these countries it's easy for me. Delhi, Dhaka, Islamabad and Katmandu are all the same.. crowded, noisy, traffic and chaos can be seen in all.. so that's one group.. Other 3 capitals are unique. Colombo is the symbol of modernity combined with greenery. Male is the seaside paradise .. Thimpu would be the lush green mountain kingdom. Pretty unique capitals.. I love Male and Colombo the most..

I'm Pakistani, India is awesome in many ways and the first thing outside of politics that comes into my head is technology. Indians are such great technologists, second I love the diversity of religion and last but not least cricket. I'm not into Bollywood or Pakistani dramas and I mainly watch American/British and South Korean series. Hence, Bollywood isn't on my list.

@nick p They sell on name of Hyderabadi Biryani cause they have a hyderabad too which surprisingly is known for it's biryani too , and yes they have bombay biryani i've seen it in the states , just like in Mumbai i've seen Karachi Sweets and bakers , people tend to buy more when things are sold by other city/country names. Biryani war will go on for ever but im 100% certain it is a regional dish and is made in 10+ countries with same or similar names.

Personally, the most friendly I found were the Nepali and Pakistani. Indians have the best sense of humour though. Bhutanese and Srilankans look a bit more serious and Bangaldeshi are very hardworking and sincere.

Our literacy rate is in our country really the highest in South Asia and from Government to Schools, we use English as an official language. We don't have a large population but compared to the population, our nation is one of the leading nations who speaks English compared to the amount of population.

Earlier it was estimated that India's population would take over china by 2024 but due lower fertility rate among women our population will over takes China's population by 2028, It has been delayed by 4 years.

This is what a foreign born Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Sri Lankan or Nepali used to think but in reality if you interview people from their respective countries the answers would have been way different.
So this video is not creditable enough to tell what real South Asians think about each other.
South Asia has the most complex and difficult geo politics. Even sometime comparable in terms of complexities to middle East or Sub sharan Africa on basis of religion, race, languages, ethnicities and ideologies.
The best example is the comment which proves my assessment very well.
This wasn't supposed to be a serious discussion about geo and sociopolitical issues within South Asia. This was meant to be light hearted. Plus it seems like the majority of the participants are not foreign born.

In South Asia we can easily categorize the countries based on their character... As a Singaporean traveler who's been to all of these countries it's easy for me. Delhi, Dhaka, Islamabad and Katmandu are all the same.. crowded, noisy, traffic and chaos can be seen in all.. so that's one group.. Other 3 capitals are unique. Colombo is the symbol of modernity combined with greenery. Male is the seaside paradise .. Thimpu would be the lush green mountain kingdom. Pretty unique capitals.. I love Male and Colombo the most..

Out of all the Sri Lankans who could have been found, two Tamil children were found. Among the Sinhalese nationality in the country, Tamils are a minor ethnic group.. Then they sang a different song called the National Anthem, which I have never heard in my life.. It is unfortunate.

Personally, the most friendly I found were the Nepali and Pakistani. Indians have the best sense of humour though. Bhutanese and Srilankans look a bit more serious and Bangaldeshi are very hardworking and sincere.

I really wish they do some vetting before making such videos. Sri Lankan’s are quite good and humble in their wordings. Pakistani’s are rude and “making fun of” when it comes to India and Bangladesh.

You are right about India having 2nd largest population filled with 1.39 billion people in 7th largest country whose size is almost similar to continent of Australia. Furthermore you will be amazed to know that India's growth rate in population is just 1% in terms of population in 2021 and fertility rate has dropped from 3.4 in 2001 to 2.0 in 2021 ( below replacement), which is why according to lancet report our population will peak at 2060 and then it will start dropping.
Earlier it was estimated that India's population would take over china by 2024 but due lower fertility rate among women our population will over takes China's population by 2028, It has been delayed by 4 years.

I am surprised as to how little they know about countries that are literally almost identical to them in terms of culture. They're all very similar cultures, with their own very specific differencs. Specially the indians are Pakistanis here seem truly clueless.
