Have you any idea from where the quote came from? Its from an old alchemy script called "the ripley scroll". There some sort of poem written in that scroll, and somewhere around the middle there lies the bird of hermes, and this very quote in the poem.

The saddest part of this whole ordeal is that in the end, Alucard lived, he wanted for death by the hands of a man, to be redeemed through blood as was the way of his warrior code, to be denied salvation by the blade and for his arch enemy to become the very thing that the both hate without exempt. A monster. A defiled cadaver forced now to walk until the breaking sun finally glints from steel to strike him dead. Such a tragic fate it is to become a vestige of undeath. A holy beast without god given form.

despite the fact most didn't like it compared to the original anime, the ultimate OST was really great.
"most didnt like it" who is most? Ultimate is literally the story from the manga and it took years of funding to make, like an episode every 1 or 2 years. Literally supported by the fans for a proper adaptation without rushing.
