"I'm a cat! We don't help! We laugh and judge!" There is way more truth to that then I think Doug realized!! XD
He should know now considering he owns two cats
That's a paraphrased Salem quote. "Hey, dogs guard! Cats watch... and judge!"
"Breaker Breaker 90, this is Pussy Galore. Chasing a bandit." XD!
Dear freaking god. The amount of fun, Doug and Rob have in these kind of viewings is fucking intoxicating. I nearly couldn't breath laughing.
WJZAV I know if Doug ever stops nostalgia critic I want just these viewings there awesome
This is a first viewing that I always come back to rewatch because they have soooo much fun enjoying this movie 🎥😂😅
9:59 I love how Doug seems to sense Rob's punchline just as he says it.
Corn on the cop
This is what happens when you snort cocaine and kitty litter at the same time
I am going to applaud you for saying that and making my day
Dude, will you marry me? Because that sentence alone...
Kitty litter? That was pure catnip... Pure and uncut... The good shit!
You mean, there's a difference?
Tadicuslegion78 That’s how Morris The Cat died. They call it the 9Lives special. We miss you Morris, May you be acting finicky in kitty heaven to this day.
This film is like an rated-R Gravity Falls story.
Imagine it.
Dipper and Mabel find a teenage were-cat. Mabel crushes on him, obviously, and Dipper tries to get help from a cop with a cat.

Before viewing: "I think it's not suppose to be good? We have no clue of this at all."🤔
(hour and a half later....)
After viewing: *Applause* "I LOVE THE SHIT OUTTA THAT MOVIE!!!!"👏😄
My thoughts EXACTLY guys!
11:25 Terrifyingly, King was clean since the late 80's. This is an early 90's movie. This is a freshly NOT stoned Stephen King.... Make of that what you like.
Some drugs can linger in your system a long time.
I always got the impression that Mr. King did drugs to try and become more normal. This is what happens when you get undiluted Stephen King.
minski76 great job big brother are you watching me
@@chrisbowden8060 Not cocaine.
When was it made?
2:50 The revelation CRACKED ME UP xD
JaxBlade I Love seeing your comments.

Seriously I see this guy everywhere lol
That was when I changed the channel. Too much for me.
Two Walkers watch Sleepwalkers
Turp28 And all the while we are waiting for the White Walkers.
How many walkers have you shot?
Only thing missing is the Walkers watching Sleepwalkers while chugging on a bottle of Johnnie Walker.
And then Jimmy Walker interrupts yelling DYNO-MITE!
two walkers watching sleepwalker,
seeing skywalker walk through his part,
while the two Walker are wondering what next... a white Walker will show up next
My favorite part of this video that I constantly loop is definitely when Doug starts going crazy as Charles constantly shapeshifts. The cop exclaims what everyone is thinking and Rob just agrees with him. It's so funny every time.
As much as I love seeing them suffer with a bad movie, I loved watching them have a ball with this one!
They need to review/watch more guilty pleasure bad movies...ones that are so terrible yet so much fun to watch
1:18
_Daddy would you like some kitties?_
_Daddy would you like some kitty cats?_
NO... just no
Wow, my thoughts exactly. I was surprised they didn't make the reference until I realized they're still probably trying to block it out.
Oh gosh XD
It's ok, the cat knows
I can hear this comment. XD
Steven King saying he wants nothing to do with the movie, IN THE MOVIE! Mind blowing!
You have to cover your ass no matter what.
"Maybe it was the wind" best video game, and movie assumption.
Next to an arrow sticking out of your skull and going "huh, must have been imagining things"
Judah Breese message for you sir
Charles: So...uh, like the cemetery?
Tanya: Oh yeah. Perfect for burying you.
Charles: ...Tanya? Tanya what're you...?
Tanya: Surprise. I'm a Were-Jaguar. We don't much care for our rival species.
(cue horror genre chase scene, except its Charles being chased by Tanya)
@Joshua Skaug and take turns.
What a twist! 🤣
To be fair, cat pople with malcom mcdowell does this plot of killer cat monsters (and incest as well funny enough)
Way better and as a better horror film as well.
This is funnier than the review!
This was one of the BEST First viewings...Ever! Freaking hilarious from beginning to end!!!
They usally are
Always
Of of the first viewings are better funnier than the reviews.
Doug: You know where this is going.
Movie: Oh, do ya?
It's Stephen King Time , and what better way to start it with Sleepwalkers , aka "CAT"vs Monsters!!!
anyone else notice that Clovis's tag said "Attack Cat"?
made it way more funnier.
Does anyone else noticed that tanya’s parents are played by Ferris Bueller’s parents?
Attack cat!? Wtf!?!?!?
I could see a Lynx or a Bobcat being trained as an attack pet and being intimidating. But a common variety House cat....... That's just Comedy Gold
The Cats are dangling because Tom Green is asking Rip Torn if he would like some while banging on a piano.
Daddy would you like some kitties? Daddy would you like some kitty cats?
In this movie, it's more like "Mommy, would you like some sausage?"
S A U C Y
J I Z Z
Daddy, would you like a kitty?
Daddy would you like a kitty or two?
Get the Hell out of my cat suit, you goddamn imbecile!

I don't know why but Rob's reaction just cracks me up
Death by corn stabbing. That's a new one.
I felt that it was pretty corny...
Only Stephen King
The first one I've seen was in Nacho Libre, a comedy
The best First Viewing you guys have ever done! Your reactions were hillarious. Director Mick Garris needs to see this!!!
6:45 Ironic that Mick previously did Psycho IV. 🤣😋👏
6:13
Actually little known fact; There ARE some police departments that train cats for police work.
Look it up, and you'd be surprised on how many articles involve cats that are in the Police force.
This is actually one of the first Stephen King films I ever watched after Misery.
And Clovis the cat is a badass!
How to make a scene go from "Awwww!" to "Ick!"
*shows a couple making out* "Awwww!"
*realizing they're mother and son* "Ick!"
Or Aliens pretending to be human and posing as mother & son. 😐🤔🤨
I love Doug’s laughing fit towards the end. Never seen these two so happy for one of these up until now. Can’t wait to see what’s next!
The singing cop’s death was one of the saddest movie deaths in history.
Doug’s laugh is infectious 10:47
Just realized that they missed an opportunity for a "No Cats in America" reference.
I know, right? For shame
Doug said it himself. He can't keep up with all the jokes.
"Cut it out, Butt-Munch! I'm tryin' ta score!" Makes me laugh every time!
“What the fuck?” “You said it, Buddy!” That will never not be funny 😂
A Stephen King movie that DOESN'T take place in Maine!? What!? I didn't think it existed!!!
Joseph Blumenberg The Shining movie and miniseries takes place in Colorado
Also 1408, misery, and The outsider....all Stephen Ling stories take place in either America or Midworld
Not just that, but it also *isn't* based on a novel
You clearly haven't watched Eerie Indiana.
Christine also wasn't in Maine. That's in California.
I think this might be one of my favourite First Viewings because when I introduced it to my parents we chromcast it to the TV and they laughed so hard I thought they were going to fall off the sofa. Every joke one after the other was just...so quick and brilliant!
I remember watching this with my sister when we were 11 and 13. We cracked jokes at it and had a heyday, like you guys! Even back then it was a fun kind of ridiculousness. This was definitely nostalgic. 😄👍
7:06 That song followed by that meow 😄😄😄😄
Imagine having an obituary saying: Killed by corncob.
Even dead, I couldn't keep a straight face with that obituary
Doug shouting"I love this movie!" While rubbing himself had me weak with laughter!!! 🤣🤣😂😂😎🏴
I give this film "Two Applauding Walkers"
This was pretty much my reaction when I first saw this movie. First I was like WTF, but then when I realized the movie totally embraces the craziness I started thoroughly enjoying it.
7:55
Holy shit, every film needs a dramatic scene just suddenly cutting to that cop singing hahaha!
I actually dig this movie, it has its place amongst dark comedies.
And on clovis' necklace it says "clovis the attack cat"
I'm only one wondering why Doug didn't yell "CAT"in his review, considering all the cats in this film .

Bro, I love watching these Bros watch movies bruh... So much more entertaining than actually watching a bad movie :)
They should’ve been drinking like with green lantern & kangaroo jack
For Dougs next Nostalgia-ween episode, you know what I want him to review?
Legoking 616
What?
@@SanteeSherminator
I want him to review the 1988 animated movie Scooby Doo and the Ghoul school! You ever heard of it?
Have you seen any Red Letter Media's "Best of the Worst"?
Apparently King scrapped a sequel involving a women's basketball team. We need that to be a reality.
6:41 - 6:51 Hey, you know what they say-
Mother Gothel: "🎵MOTHEERRRRR knows best!🎵"
And also-
Will Smith: "MAMA, NOOOO!!!"
I love this movie. Probably one of my favorite Stephen King movies ever made. Its so bad that it's wonderful.
Also, the fact the Leo from Charmed played the main boy was hilarious to me
6:48 "A boy's best f*ck is his mother" needs to be on a t-shirt. Now.
9:52 This is why Sleepwalkers is the greatest horror movie.
You missed that it was Mark Hamill that said "somebody doesn't like cats"
they noticed, he pointed it out in the actual review
I thought that they got excited partially because they had recognized him...
Wait what? *Goes back to check* Holy crap. I didn't recognize him with such short hair and a mustache.
It's great to see a First Viewing where you're both having a good time.
It's so rare that you guys get to watch something that you like. Since it's so rare, watching you enjoy it is in and of itself enjoyable! (I mean... the movie looks dumb and totally not my thing, but you guys LOVED it and I appreciate that.)
So refreshing to see one of these where they’re having the time of their lives
9:55 Looks like another case of *cob* on cop violence.
9:55 Cowardly Lion: " *Shucks* - folks, I'm dead!"
9:55 Officer, are you by any chance a Capri - *Corn?*
9:55 Looks like she's got you *corn* -ered!
9:55 Taking *corn* -holing a little too far, aren't ya?
9:55 Horatio Caine: "We found fiber on the body. *Dietary fiber.* " (CSI: MIAMI) YYYEAAAAAAAAAHH!!

I'm shocked she didn't make a meal out of him.

One of THOSE moments. When Doug and Rob find a gem of a bad movie (That's not one of the passé ones like The Room) and both are on their joke-writing A-game; which resulted in a truly great Critic episode.
Man, the way they both were pleased by this movie, I'm amazed they didn't light up some cigarettes and were all like "Was it good for you?" I admit though, I'd be that way too 'cause this movie is quite the golden schlock.
"Was it good for you?"
"... It wasn't what I expected"
Well, we have this quote:
"You do me good, movie" - Doug Walker while he's feeling himself.
"I've never seen this one."
Oh, this is gonna be good.
Yeah....especially on "First Viewing"
@@bigjake943 They've seen like half of these before their "First Viewing" videos. Home Alone 2, Batman Forever, Balto (at least Rob), and The Mummy.
I have to admit... it is refreshing to see the Walker brothers actually ENJOYING a film, for once.
5:37 "I'm a cat! We don't help. We laugh, and judge."
....... was.... was that a Sabrina the Teenage Witch reference?
Not since Troll 2 has corn been used to such masterful cinematic effect. Bravo Stephen King. Bravo!
7:23: I just imagine that cop never went anywhere, it just kept cutting back to him at the highest point of action and nothing ever happens he's just singing his song.
This is actually one of the most cheesy films I’ve ever seen
AWGE ! So much deciduous wonderful cheese
It’s so cheesy that it’s perfect.
You know what, I don't think I've ever seen you two so ecstatically happy during a first viewing before. God I'd love to sit down and watch a hilariously bad movie with you guys.
Love the thumbnail for this. He looks horrified
He should be...
Dude! I was just humming the Pinky and the Brain theme before I started this video and it started with them mimicking Pinky and the Brain.
I need that Goodfeathers shirt. Hook me up, Doug.
This is by far, the funniest "First Viewing" to date. Man, I love Stephen King!
I still love the Green Lantern/Kangaroo Jack drunk fest they had
So funny that you mentioned that because, I thought about leaving a comment saying that they shouldn't do the "Stephen King Drinking Game" this year, and it was all do to Green Lantern and Kangaroo Jack. Seriously though, the both of them need to give their livers a break.
Years later, I decided on a whim to watch this again and I'm laughing so hard all over again. I've had movie nights with friends and a bad movie that went just like this. Thank you for this.
RUclipsrs, you guys need to react to THIS along with the NC review.
0:55
I feel like there's a story behind the way Rob said Stephen King's name there,
Does anyone realize that's "Leo" from the original "Charmed" series as the main character?
And when he died he was reincarnated as an angel to redeem himself
Been noticed that.
His mum plays The Borg Queen.
He might wanna eat cats is such an underrated joke from Doug
0:09 It's a coincidence that you parody Pinky and the Brain because for the last 2 weeks , including today , I have been checking out that show .
This show's intro is more angelic then a pure flix movie!
And yet the cat CGI is better there than in the 2019 CATS trailer
13 and a half minutes of the Walker Bros orgasming. Was not expecting that.
Might I give a suggestion for his next Nostalgia-ween review? Doug, I dare you to review the 1988 animated movie, Scooby Doo and the Ghoul school!
Thats a good movie.
@@joshuaclayburn8350
I know! It's a good Scooby Doo movie! After reviewing three bad live-action Scooby films, I think Doug deserves to see one good animated one.
Love that movie along with zombie island which I have on dvd.

Sleep walking sounds more interesting than food fight.

I love when you are reacting to movies you have never seen
you know the movie is entertaining when rob doesn't touch his drink
Considering what the kids do after they beat Pennywise in the original book, the mother/son incest isn’t too out there
I was thinking the same thing. King isn't afraid to push the envelope, is he?
@@lunayoshi No wonder his last name is King. He's King of the Awkward Chapter.
Or the king of making his readers feel so uncomfortable
But their aliens, probably just posing as mother and son. 🤔
Edit: ok, I just watched the movie, their Vampires. 😐 same thing.
Stephen King had no restrictions
“YOU HAD EVERY WARNING IT WAS GOING TO BE A CAT!” *dead lady falls out of closet* “okay, that was cool”
13:16 Doug’s face after Rob says “yeah.” He’s about to eat someone’s soul
10:42 Ron Perlman: "OH NO, MY BEST GAL!- Actually, my best gal will be in Hellboy. Yeah, go ahead."
Who else would have loved to have seen a comedic series with that cop and his cat?
Yes.
8:47 That’s Stephen King talking to Tobe Hooper about the mangler. No seriously the other guy’s Tobe Hooper.
That moment in this video is definitely my favorite
It just hit me this may not just be the best "bad" Stephen King movie. It's also the only one I can think of that doesn't have a letdown stupid climax but an amazingly hilarious best part of the movie stupid climax.
4:08 "Yeah, you know where this is going!"
.......no. no you don't lol
Lyman Ward and Cindy Pickett, who played Tanya's parents, were also married in real life at the time of filming. (They had met when they appeared in Ferris Bueller's Day Off (1986), where they also played a married couple).
According to director Mick Garris, Stephen King's wife Tabitha King wrote a treatment for a sequel that would have involved a women's basketball team.
Both Mick Garris and Mädchen Amick are allergic to cats, as revealed in the recent Scream Factory Blu-ray release. Amick didn't reveal this to anyone until right as the film went into production
During a Q&A celebrating the film's 25th anniversary, director Mick Garris revealed the Enya song "Boadicea" was chosen for the film only because, of all the songs provided to him by Sony Music at the time for cross-promotion, it was the one song he felt fit the tone of the film.
Mick Garris cast Alice Krige as Mary Brady after remembering her appearance in Ghost Story (1981), which he had publicized when he worked as a publicist for Universal Pictures.
Rupert Wainwright was originally attached to direct but left the film and was replaced by Mick Garris, who had met with the studio but been passed over in favor of Wainwright. According to Garris, Wainwright had made changes to the script that the studio and Stephen King (who had director approval) did not like. King approved Garris as director as he liked Psycho IV: The Beginning (1990).
This is the first time Ron Perlman would be in a Stephen King movie; the second would be Desperation (2006) 14 years later.
This is the only film that has Stephen King and Clive Barker in the same scene.
Both Alice Krige and Ron Perlman have later played villains in the Star Trek film franchise. Krige played the Borg Queen in Star Trek: First Contact (1996), and Perlman played the Reman Viceroy in Star Trek: Nemesis (2002).
Clovis's collar tag reads: " Clovis- The Attack Cat ".
At 23:35, Tanya shows Charles framed gravestone rubbings her mother has done.
These are real rubbings from real gravestones. While it is unclear where the one on the left comes from, the rubbing on the right is from the nineteenth century gravestone of Matthias and Eliza Hulshart and Eleanor Van Brunt, at Rosehill Cemetery in Matawan, New Jersey. As of 2024 the stone is still standing and can be viewed in person or on the website Find A Grave.
Was featured on episode 159 of the comedy podcast How Did This Get Made with special guest Lauren Lapkus
Cameo: Mark Hamill (uncredited) plays Sheriff Jenkins in the very first scene.
The film was cut for an R rating after receiving four consecutive NC-17 ratings for violence from the MPAA. Among the violence cut was Charles removing the corkscrew from his eye and Mary spitting out the fingers she bit off Captain Soames.
Approximately 100 cats were used during the climactic scene at the sleepwalkers' house.
4:47 please don’t die, I like you
11:34 “Viva la revolution!” *smack*! 🤣🤣🤣
7:48 Well, yeah... It's a horror spin on a John Hughes-style movie, basically. The only real problem is that it failed at actually being "horror".
I've never really understood why this movie is so reviled. It's an awesomely campy B-horror-comedy.
"Oh, what a piece of wondrous shite." XD Laughing so hard!
