Mil-spec has set out completely re-imagining what the H1 could have been, upgrading, redesigning, and refinishing everything to mitigate any possible downfalls of the original H1. What is the result? a $30k hmmwv and about $35k in upgrades would kill this.
Don't get me wrong 250k is a ton for this, but lets be realistic, a built Duramax with comparable Alision transmission is over 35k itself, at least from a reputable builder, so 35k upgrade price is not even close to what they have in this truck and that's not including labor.

This is not a Mil-Spec Hummer other than it was a military HMMWV before they started. Although I will say, this looks and drive a hell of a lot better than the shit HMMWVs I've worked on.

For $250k, you could buy an actual Hummer H1. Not only that, but you could get an 06 Alpha that has a far better drivetrain and interior. Oh, it would also be able to be registered in all 50 states unlike this. I want to know what idiots are buying this, because I can certainly do their job better than they can, considering this ridiculous scam they fall for
