I love reassembling big puzzles! It is unique to see the mechanism by myself and i really love those grooves on the hays 7 pieces :D High Qualitiy Video and epic as always!
hey dude, you uploaded this early in the morning for me edit: my yuxin is going really well for me, i hit a new pb of 27 seconds like a week ago. Keep up the awesome work!
Wow I've never seen a 7x7 in person.... Very informative... I may have to get one after I get my first 3x3.. I'm very new to the world of cubing... Especially speed cubing
Welcome! I absolutely love the cubing community and I know you will have fun challenging yourself. I've been cubing a long time and have only really been focusing on speed about 16 months now. It's amazing how quick you can get in that short of time. I highly recommend getting a 4x4 than a 5x5 before attempting larger puzzle because it's important to learn parity cases as well as commutators.
Contrary to popular belief, I kinda had fun when I was assembling my 8x8 after I had to take it apart because one of tHe pins that kept the inner layer in alignment got out of alignment. Also I don’t think I’ll take apart my WuJi when I get it so that pieces don’t break but maybe I’ll do it carefully. Edit: I might have to take apart my 9x9 because a screw stripped and I’ll have to fix that 😬
Well it was a shengshou so I was a bit easier and more stable but the first few small internals just can’t stay in without tape and then the tape is kinda hard to get out without having it all fall apart. It also took maybe around 8 hours and I pretty much just watched RUclips that whole time so that’s why it was fun.
One of the best video on setting up a 7x7 but hey whats the deal. Where is the non-time lapse footage at? I am tech puzzle geek I wanna see the REAL setting up process. Also to note only big puzzle that I setup was a 5x5, I think that I would get a nervous twitch if I tried setting up a 7x7. LOL.
The thing I like about the cubicle is that they come up with groundbreaking ideas like magnets and engineered lubricants on their own without copying from other stores, Just sayin.
Hays 7M, martian and vortex in the mail. Watching this on repeat at the moment. Very therapeutic :) ...A bit worried about uneven tensioning, though. Did you look at the threading before assembling and the counted the turns after or was it done purely by feeling?
I found this video very helpful since I just got my Hays 7 M and I'd love to set it up, the problem is: to order some lube I have to pay something like 26$ of shipping fee because I live in Italy, do you know if there is some lube easy to find (like in a hobby shop) that is good as well?
Honestly, this puzzle comes pretty well lubed. I would just focus on the tensions. It's hard to recommend hobby lube because it's not designed with the puzzle in mind and you'll have inconsistent results. Id say, when you're ready to get lubes, but a bunch of it and avoid paying the shipping cost again.
True, it doesn’t seem to need lube for now... Thanks for the advice! I thought that too about hobby lubes but I wanted to hear the thoughts of an expert in the field
Not really. People look at big cubes and think it’s going to be hard because of all the pieces. I wanted to show people what the puzzle looked like from the ground up
Is it possible to lube the screws without breaking the cube apart ? I really don't want to dissassemble it, because it would take me WAYYYYYY too much time to assemble it. Edit : nevermind, I also have to clean the pieces. How hard is it to assemble it ?
Hey, I bought my Hays7 yesterday, along with some lubes from the Cubicle.us : Traxxas 30k DNM-37 Lubicle Silk Compound X I want to know which should I use and how. Also, I have a 50k bottle at home.
I typically use a combination of dnm and 30k and maybe some silk on the pieces for 3x3 and 4x4. I only ever used speedy on the pieces of 5x5-7x7 and never did anything on the core.
Update : I also ordered some stuff off speedcubeshop.com and bought some 3cc bottles of Galaxy, Nebula, Martian and Vortex. Which ones should be better for the Hays7 ?
I know! I 've always felt weird asking people to support me. I suppose, it never hurts to put it out there and see what happens. I'd just want to find a way to create value for my supporters!
I am going to get a big cube thank you for showing me and i did get a different cube instead of the rubiks brand i got the gan 356 r and i don't need to say that but i did so yay for me
It's funny assembling a 7x7 is so much easier then a 4x4 or a 6x6 even though there are so many more pieces. Those inner pieces are a pain to attach and actually even a 5x5 is slightly harder to rebuild
ehhh... I'm going to attempt to fix the issue today. I won't make a video though, I'll probably just post to my Instagram and make not of it in an upcoming video.
I probably should have mentioned that, lol. I do clean the pieces, I just didn't record it. I wasn't even thinking about it. It's hard to make setup videos entertaining ;)
Setting up a 4x4 would damage me mentally, I am amazed by how patient you are setting up a 7x7
It's relaxing to me!
To me it looks like 7x7 is easier than 4x4 because there's no inner layer. That inner layer is so annoying
It's much easier! 4x4 has so many problems because of the inner lay brackets.
Cube Solve Hero same it’s so fun
4x4 is super hard to setup! Much harder than 7x7 (because It’s an Even layered puzzle)
honestly the assembly was one of the most satisfying things ive ever seen.
I love reassembling big puzzles!
It is unique to see the mechanism by myself and i really love those grooves on the hays 7 pieces :D
High Qualitiy Video and epic as always!
Thank you so much for this! My cube is amazing now and I went from 4:40 to 4:15 just by setting it up
awesome set up haha! its better than my 3x3 set up
As always this is the best editing I’ve ever seen!
thank you!! :)
I took apart my RS3 M that was professionally setup to set it up again as the lube was wearing out and the vortex stained my speed cubing mat
1:05 I like Derpy cuber because he doesn't stain my mind like cube solve hero
#truth
Lol yes
Wdym bro? This dude is a boss 😎😎😎
Lol
You setup a whole 7x7 in the less time than it takes me to put back together a 3x3....
wtf it takes you more then 30 minutes to assemble a 3x3
1:07 You want to fight me, bro?

I'm going to assume you didn't get 27 sec on your YuXin Hays 7, lol
I think he would say that he dropped his PB about 27 seconds! 😃
I figured as much

Cube Solve Hero if you do disassemble your 8x8 will you time lapse it?
Hey my dude
Spectrix hi :p
What does each of those lubes do to the cube. Also what is the closest lube to those on cubicle?
I was looking for a hays 7 m setup tutorial ! This is perfect
Glad you enjoyed it
I just ordered both that cube and jack o lantern lube.
This was intriguing to watch! Glad i found your channel.
Welcome to the community
It is satisfying to watch people assemble cubes and fast forward, but it is so tiring to do it myself lol
Great video !
I will setup my 7x7 the same way now 👍👍
you make great vids i love the effects!
Can you pld do a 5x5 setup plz? I reallylike how you setup puzles and i really want to see a 5x5 setup!!!
Good job,can you please make a video 4x4 or 5x5 assembly and dissembly?Cause if i know to assemble and dissemble 5x5 or 4x4 i can 7x7 too.
I'm actually working on a project that will be producing some videos that will help with larger cube builds.
Loved the intro

This video is seriously cool
OMG I NEEDED THIS
Nice! I can tell you put a lot of effort into this video!!!
And that effort really payed off!
The thing I like about the cubicle is that they come up with groundbreaking ideas like magnets and engineered lubricants on their own without copying from other stores, Just sayin.
I wouldn't say that people are copying anyone. Two companies that are doing their own things for the community
Idk man kinda sounds like the whole Samsung pods being released only after apple had air pods.

...A bit worried about uneven tensioning, though. Did you look at the threading before assembling and the counted the turns after or was it done purely by feeling?
Purely by feeling. I’ve since re-tensioned it properly.
Did one of your corner pieces get replaced?
Out of curiosity, what do you average on 6 and 7?
You should do a big curb giveaway sometime
Where did you learn how to assemble a cube? My 6x6 popped and I don’t know how to assemble it
What way did you tension it to make it tight
What the song I forgot the name can someone please respond
You're so great at editing ! :o
THANK YOU
Looking into lubes for my Hays atm. Would you still suggest picking up weight 5 or should I wait for controlious.
How do you get jack o lantern after Halloween
I love your vids! Keep making them!
Only because you asked 😎
How long did you first figure how to assemble a 7x7
are you going to do a q and a?

I think there's a mistake in the description.
Read the 2nd paragraph
It's from your gan 356r video 😁😁😀
Hope I helped
I keep a template saved from the prior video. It's not unlikely that I copied over old text. I'll fix now. :)
Unique content always
maybe ill try disassembling then reassembling my meilong 7 when it arrives
I love your videos
Lengthy solve? Around what is the average?
Just wondering. Thanks in advance :)
honestly, I'm not sure. I'll time myself this weekend. I don't typically solve my larger cubes because I tend to solve them more casually.
Cube Solve Hero Alright. Thanks! :D
Superb Buddy..
Nice job! Perfekt video :)
Thank you
Don't know about helpful but really enjoyed it !!!
Lol.
I was thinking about taking apart my Hays but I’ve never assembled a big cube, should I or is it too much of a risk
It’s fun for me. I’d say work your way up. Try s 5x5.
Cube Solve Hero thank you, I will try
Cube Solve Hero thank you so much, I feel much more confident disassembling my puzzles after my 6x6 died, you have just gained a subscriber
Would it take longer to setup or solve?
Depends on your approach. If you break it all down, it will take you at least an hour.
Only 37 k subs but editing skill like 1 mill
Hey Cube solve hero.
I just bought Gan 356 X from SCS, any idea when they will ship it?
probably gonna ship it within the next week or so. I have mine ordered too!!!
Would you say setting up a 7x7 is much different from setting up a 3x3?
Not really. People look at big cubes and think it’s going to be hard because of all the pieces. I wanted to show people what the puzzle looked like from the ground up
Cube Solve Hero are even layered puzzles different? I just want to know for if I decide to reassemble a 4x4.
So nice
Good thing it’s magnetic gives a little advantage
3:35 for y'all that don't wanna waste time with the core lubing.
Sorry I'm late. I was at school
All gravy! I'm on the west coast so posting at 7am is when I get to work.

Hey, I bought my Hays7 yesterday, along with some lubes from the Cubicle.us :
Traxxas 30k
DNM-37
Lubicle Silk
Compound X
I want to know which should I use and how.
Also, I have a 50k bottle at home.
50k on core, dnm or compound x depending on if you like faster or controllabl cube + silk on pieces
I typically use a combination of dnm and 30k and maybe some silk on the pieces for 3x3 and 4x4. I only ever used speedy on the pieces of 5x5-7x7 and never did anything on the core.

Dont take apart a 6x6 its much worse than a 7x7
Very true! It took me a month to put mine back together!
Yea i can assemble a 5x5 but 4x4 or 6x6 i cant
Why would you disassemble it but not clean it? if you aren't cleaning it what's the point of disassembling?
someone else pointed that out. I did clean the pieces, just not on camera. I should have mentioned it in the video, but forgot to.
I am going to get a big cube thank you for showing me and i did get a different cube instead of the rubiks brand i got the gan 356 r and i don't need to say that but i did so yay for me
