I once read an article about how designers leaving houses also affect the muses and their jobs after a designer’s exit. But rarely does the industry talk about the effect a muse has on a designer (with the exception of the most common ones: Audrey and Givenchy, Liza and Halston, and Jane and Hermès). I think the Liya is such a strong presence in the industry and has been a long standing inspiration to Nicolas Ghesquière. A literal ICON in the industry!!!
YES. This. Her & Ghesquière’s time at Balenciaga. JEEZ, there were so many moments in fashion we got to experience: Marc & Louis Vuitton, Versace at PEAK SEXY, the energy @ Roberto Cavalli. 🥹😍
Sorry, Aston. Really appreciate all you do but this model leaves me cold. She doesn't have the " IT" factor and just comes across as a plain-jainner. Can't see why anyone would make a fuss.
Gotta love the French for their appreciation of black and coloured women in fashion and the arts in general

So true that there is no one like Liya, she is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside, in all honesty she is nonpareil.
One of my favorite beautiful models 👌💃

I am two years older than her who knew us East African girls don’t age 😂❤❤❤
I've been loving your instagram and channel lately. I've been looking for a channel like this.
Welcome! 🥰🥰🥰🥰 Thank you.
As always. It seems we spotted her first. They always have to catch up. Love her.😊
THAT PART. Reactive, not proactive. 😒
These last 2 videos were of women who inspired me in the late 90s modeling in Miami.
🥹🥹🥹 People are fairly unaware how influential they were! Thanks for watching!🤎

Wow, even though she was a signed model to one of the top agencies in the world, she had to fly herself to Milan that’s so unprofessional
The modeling industry has its faults, that’s for sure. 🥴🥴🥴
