Oooh how lovely to hear this again...25 and at a house party and everything kicking off...romance, community, maturity in late 1989. can't help smiling..just brilliant!!
One of my earliest memories is seeing this music video on Going Live on BBC1, & Sarah Green asked if anyone had any clue what the song was about, & one of the guests (no idea who it was) said it was about pink hedgehogs. My sister & I found it hilarious & we made up our own English lyrics about pink hedgehogs. I don’t know how I remember that so vividly. I was only 6.
Me too, and I hope that something will change our way of thinking in these days into something better similar to human's behaviour from this glory period!
@@jeanclaudecollin3056 Yes, I remember this singer, because several years ago in one of our resident TV channels there was a commercial with this song. And I 've desided to search for this track. It was one of the best evergreens I have ever listened. Even, I've put a comment how beautiful is Francoise Hardy, and it was liked. :) However, thank You very much for the information about the original.
I'm speaking to you from Algeria. There is no doubt that Jimmy was blessed by God with musical gifts and a body made for dancing. Who besides Michael Jackson had such gifts?
I was 10 years old when this song was realized... remember me on my charefree childhood. I didn't hear this song for a year's but I never forget melody...few days ago I whistle that melody in Google application and finally hear that song again. Now I know lyrics definitely not a song for kids 😊
Under no pretext I don't want To have unfortunate reflexes You need to explain to me A little better How to say goodbye My flint heart Quickly catches fire Your Pyrex heart Resists the fire I am quite perplexed I don't want To resign myself to goodbyes I know well that an ex-love has little chance, or so little But for me, an explanation would be better Under no pretext I don't want To expose my eyes too much in front of you Behind a Kleenex I would know better How to say goodbye How to say goodbye You are out of favor, our sleepless nights, our blue-grey mornings But for me, an explanation would be better Under no pretext I don't want To expose my eyes too much in front of you Behind a Kleenex I would know better How to say goodbye How to say goodbye How to say goodbye
J'adore cette chanson, elle est toujours nouvelle, elle est toujours heureuse "Comment te dire adieu" (English: "How to Say Goodbye to You") is a French adaptation of the song "It Hurts to Say Goodbye". It was originally recorded by Françoise Hardy in 1968

Oh, how I love this! I was 14 at the time and didn't know it was a cover and had very rudimentary knowledge of French, but still I sang this all the time without even knowing how gay I already was! :D
Oh they were the very best times weren't they! I, amazingly, got together 5 months after this party with my first great and of course ultimately doomed love that I locked eyes with at said party. I've never forgotten that moment and the fact that this was playing. Time just stretched into something glorious x
Lets rediscover a true TALENT... That falsetto is so pure and funn. Jimmy and friends sure made a lot of is more courageous in an era where gay* bashing was considerend.. .. .. . . (Lets not go there).. 🌬️🌀🌊🌪️🌫️☮️☯️☮️💢👁️👁️👁️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🍀
I do not understand one word. It doesn't stop me from loving this tune!
You don’t know what Pyrex or cleanex is?
Maybe learning some French. What do you think?
Not even adieu , kleenex? ^^
Comment te dire adieu - how do I say goodbye to you
Lyrics are overrated. I said it over and over. Music critics who are cluless on music are the ones who think lyrics important
Haven’t heard this in decades. Loved Jimmy back in the day, dancing in the bars.
Jimmy is still adorable!

Huge radio hit in 🇬🇷 Greece, back then! Lovely
One of the best covers of a song ever
This song popped into my head after quite a few drinks last night . Happy days !
Listening to it now in France!
Très beau clip , excellente reprise ! Géniaux
J'adore la musique de Françoise Hardy, mais j'aime bien cette version aussi.... Une bien mélange de chanson française et la musique électronique.
Jimmy Somerville ahead of time
I love the great voice of Jimmy and this amazing song!!!!
I've never heard this song before but this is a great version by these two!
😱😱😱
This is one that never gets old, a great rendition of this tune.
Reminds of watching tour de France highlight on a Sundsy evening in July
I haven't heard this song in years, just found it again and I still love it ❤️
Pas pour longtemps ! Ni klenesx ! Oui adieu 💯

😀 I still don't understand the lyrics and listening to it now, i didn't realise what a weird tune it also has.
❤ rip Françoise
The best way to say, softly , bye bye to some mistakes...dancing and enjoing . Thanks
Une sacrée belle époque ❤

C'est génialissime
I love this song ❤
First time I've heard this version of this fab song, after playing Jane Birkin's sultry version over and over for years. Well done both of you!
Under no pretext
I don't want
To have unfortunate reflexes
You need to explain to me
A little better
How to say goodbye
My flint heart
Quickly catches fire
Your Pyrex heart
Resists the fire
I am quite perplexed
I don't want
To resign myself to goodbyes
I know well that an ex-love has little chance, or so little
But for me, an explanation would be better
Under no pretext
I don't want
To expose my eyes too much in front of you
Behind a Kleenex
I would know better
How to say goodbye
How to say goodbye
You are out of favor, our sleepless nights, our blue-grey mornings
But for me, an explanation would be better
Under no pretext
I don't want
To expose my eyes too much in front of you
Behind a Kleenex
I would know better
How to say goodbye
How to say goodbye
How to say goodbye
Forgot about this wow the 80s are a gem!!
