Im assuming its the same with the f17 box? Still got the box in the car on mine and i need to do the diff bearings. Cant wiggle it free like you did. Shafts are out. Locking ring is out but i cant gdt the diff out. Any ideas?
@GarethEvans-fx5nc Depending on your ratio some may be a little tighter where it meshes with the pinion or speedo drive, try rotating the diff with a small prybar. If that doesn't work it may be easier to slightly release the gear cluster to create some clearance
@Clacton_Flyer_491 it's a 1.3 diesel so the ratios are wider than the f13 petrol engines. Probably the cause then. I'll take the gear cluster out a touch. Cheers
