  • Come.
    Sit.
Welcome to my BN Workshop -- where I remind myself the definition of insanity:
"Doing the same thing over and over and over again, expecting a different result."

While this kind of a meme video, I do want to point out some stuff:
    * I throw iceseed ASAP and then **hope to God** Protoman lines up with me in the middle row
    * This lets me fire a peashot to bait his shield so that he can attack me and get countered
    * By countering with the first bubblestar hit, Protoman DOES NOT get frozen so i need him to teleport back
    * In order to get hit by the second instance of that bubblestar, freezing him
    * rest is self explanatory
Now the question is... how do I save 150 centiseconds for my sub5? ._.
EDIT: And the answer is here! ruclips.net/video/m54_IbCYIs0/видео.html

This kind of makes me feel better that I end up having to do the same fight multiple times to get it right.

We often never get it right on just the first try!
And yeah, I thought this would be a fun, little humble showcase.

this is cool, it's hard to get a feel for how much work goes into something, even this video doesn't do it much justice, but it's trying while not being annoying, it's pretty cool

Thanks for that! You've hit the nail on the head there.
I've been toying with the idea of uploading a commentated combo video (~5-10 min long) where I breakdown all the trial and error involved to show off the thought process.
I mainly just thought this video was neat cause of the way the audio syncs by the end, lmao.

@@rebycVG yea, i tried making videos before, so i got a pretty good idea of how many hours go into just a few seconds of content,
and a thought process video sounds interesting, i think the best way to do it is by showing the end result then explaining it's evolution, how it started and how it changed overtime
like "this is my emotion bug build,
i chose to use lots of elemental dragons, cause they can hit from anywhere without pausing the screen, making it more difficult to defend against
i used to use summon blacks, but traded it for magnums, both pause the screen, letting the opponent use anti-damage, invis or barrier, but magnums remove anti-damage AND damage their field, also i won't always have a hole on my field, magnums deal less damage, but they damage more consistently
also im bringing a few grass seeds to make them scared of being hit for 4x damage, which can make them sit on some defensive chips, and if they're defending they're not attacking
against some match ups, using Air Shoes would be great, if the meta goes that way this build might change, but Dustcross is very popular which makes the magnums even more effective"
(that's just an example I came up with while watching some pvp btw, idk if it's that good)
and yea, take LOTS of notes and start over a few times, even for this example up here i thought of
      "tengu cross meteor knuckle"
"triple cracked panels and coming road"
but the example I went for felt like a better example
and yea the audio sync at the end was cool

LMAO, i was reading through this and was like "holy shit, this guy wasn't kidding around, he's so experienced he's reciting an example from memory" then i read the disclaimer, lol.
That's the funny part actually... All my videos were recorded literal months ago, with audio notes as i was playing in real time. I just have to find time to go through all my VODs and voice votes and be like "oh yeah, this one is worth showcasing" lmao
This particular video was just to show off how close the time got to sub5 on Discord so i had it unlisted from months ago. Only published it recently cause I was going for this implicit storytelling angle on finally getting the sub5s on ProtomanSP with this specific method.

@@rebycVG LMAO sorry I didn't mean to mislead you, I'm not an experienced net-battler, i just actually like thought process stuff, so i pay attention to what commentators say during pvp, maybe I should've put the disclaimer first lol
and about your VODs, yea, i heard some people got many gigas worth of memory to look through when making just a single video,
when i tried making videos, I've tried to get a feel for what's the best order to talk about stuff, cause if you wanna teach well, but you're still learning, you'll find a better strategy in a few days or a few hours, which made me go back and change what i say, but then I'd repeat myself in the future, so i had to change that too, so i ended up just starting from scratch
starting from scratch doesn't sound like a good idea, but i was more experienced and knew how to speak better each time I did it
and yea just showing how close the time got to 5 seconds so many times is cool to see
