The LCT 240 is almost always immediately identifiable. It's extremely bright and has a certain crispy metallic sheen to it. Very fatiguing on spoken word without heavy de-essing.

Yep, I can hear that a bit. I'd say it's still a decent mic for the price, but it usually is on my shelf these days. Thanks for watching!

The kick was great, I really like that comparison, and quite frankly it's inspired me to try out all the condensers I have on my kick. Now, I don't want to sound like a jerk but with the way you were playing the whole kit, it wasn't realistic and didn't really reveal anything interesting about either mic imo. Drummers typically play with the volume and tone and reaction of the room to the whole kit altogether, kind of like you wouldn't just pluck guitar strings at low to soft velocities randomly to demonstrate the sound of a guitar. Sorry, but I hope that helps. Loved the rest of it, though. My most recent mic purchase was a WA-67 and it easily became one of my favorite mics.

You have found me out! I have no idea what I am doing while drumming. You have seen everything I can do with a drum set... Thanks for watching and the feedback!
