- Today was my LAST day in Taiwan quarantine. I kept myself busy doing things like eating 茶葉蛋, learning Chinese, chatting with family and singing Chinese songs. It was a long 14 days, and I am eager to explore the beautiful Taiwan!

So glad that you have #THIS opportunity to learn more about your heritage and culture. 😊
Welcome to Taiwan. NSYSU is my school!!! lol
Wish I could meet you at Kaohsiung.
Hahaha omg that is an ABSURD amount of 茶葉蛋😂 hope you enjoy it though
tiffany, congrats on surviving quarantine!!! I really love your content, please keep it coming. You always inspire me to love learning
Thank you ❤️
Tiff, could it be that u didn’t actually break the scissors, but they are just kitchen scissors which can come apart for easy cleaning? 😮
哈哈 yes now I realize this probably happened 😂

Favorite breakfast are those little carts that sell 飯糰 right outside my elementary 市東國小
Awww, that song was also my hubby’s go to song when he was learning Chinese. Great minds think alike indeed. 😆
Except instead of experience, he thought the “ging yu” in the song meant whale 🐳 🤣
Aww I love this! That’s awesome to hear 😊
I like your energy !! look so happy welcome to TAIWAN
tea egg
It brings up so many good memories of my time in Taiwan
I'm ethnically Taiwanese but born in Canada. Just found your videos on moving to Taiwan. I wish you all the best in learning the language, trying good food, and touring the country on the trains. One suggestion may be to try the small breakfast shops in your city. I lived in Taipei during summer before heading to college (2 yrs ago) and found that authentic breakfast places are always the most unassuming. If you wish to intercity travel for less, try their busses (similar to greyhound etc.); but they're always so chaotic. In any case, I hope your travels are safe and enjoyable. Cheers!
Thanks for the suggestion, Matthew!! Will try out breakfast spots :) do you have any good recs?
taiwanese is not an ethnicity. how ignorant
Enjoy :) you look happy 😊
Have a good time in Taiwan also please post more videos
Will be posting more soon!
Congrats your quarantine finished! And welcome to Taiwan! If you want some Taiwanese music suggestions, a rock band I highly recommend is "EggPlantEgg", mostly they sing in Taiwanese (Hokkien), hope you would enjoy their music!
I’ve heard one of their songs, so good!
Wow so exciting that you’re finally out in the country! As a language learner, how do you plan to avoid having locals just speak English with you if they notice your Mandarin isn’t fluent?
Haha that’s a good question! I just speak in Mandarin always.
Sweet voice !!
Tiff! I would love to know all the logistics of how you moved to Taiwan? Especially immigration, special entry permit, etc because I've been trying to figure it out for myself!
If you don’t have a school or work visa how did you go to Taiwan?
You're so cute 🥺 wish I can be in Taiwan now too
Awesome
I was born in Taiwan but mostly raised in America. I always look forward the most to going back to visit, it’s always some of my happiest times. If you want some music suggestions (Taiwanese artists), here are some of my faves: 周杰倫 (Jay Chou), 周興哲 (Eric Chou), Bii (畢書盡), A-Lin, 蔡依林 (Jolin Tsai), 梁靜茹 (Fish Leong [Malaysian but promotes in Taiwan]), 田馥甄(Hebe), and 林俊傑 (JJ Lin [Singaporean but promotes in Taiwan]). Haha that was a lot.
Have a good time there!
Hi Bella! I will def check these artists out, thanks for the recs 😍
wo men bu yi yang is a banger
The best 😤
thanks for making this )
Fantastic. Try to work in Taiwan for a bit, it’ll be a totally different experience compared with being a “tourist”. You’d be more immersed with the people and culture then.
Hope can meet you up on the road
You can translate Taylor Swift songs into Chinese or better still, do they have her music available in Chinese? That's the fun part of exploring your culture and what makes you, you.... the music. Whole new world of music 🎶 to explore!
That would be awesome! I haven’t seen her songs in Chinese sadly.
WOW you must visit NSYSU! It is a beautiful place! by an alumna :)
Hope you have a great time! Now you can practise the language face to face, which is always a bit scary but very interesting :D
I can’t wait :)
I live & work in Tainan, NSYSU does they provide Chinese classes on weekends or in the evening?
Is that chouchou's knife that I saw lol
❤️
How can i enrol to the Chinese class?
Hey, if you are learning Chinese and at an entry level, don't try to understand Jay Chou's songs. You will feel very discouraged cuz you may not understand every sentence in the lyrics lol
Haha I love Mojito tho 😆
U look beautiful.
u love to eat tea eggs. but u can't eat too many per day, otherwise,
