Thanks for the video. I need to get rid of some bubble algae. My big concern with Vibrant is what impact does it have on corals, especially SPS's. You have tons of corals. Have you noticed any adverse effects of Vibrant? Thank you so much...Your tank is looking good, by the way.
Honestly I haven't had any negative side affects using vibrant. I always use at the once every 2 weeks dosage. I haven't really used it once a week. So for me I do it less aggressively and haven't seen any negative impact on the corals
@@lawrenceskegz781 hmm it could be helping to break down some algae which could cause a little oil on the top. I haven't noticed it though. I'll keep an eye out for it in the future and let you know. I may dose it again depending on how my hair algae goes.
When I look at your tank I am glad I took all my sand out, your tank would be 100 percent prettier, paint the bottom white, you will be amazed.Just an observation 😀
Reef flux works amazing. I would first do a treatment with RF and once the tank is clean, I would hit it with Chemiclean. Then you'd be set.

wondering the same thing my local shop said it would slightly affect my corals but shouldn't kill them.

Hi mate did you get a film on the top of your water after dosing vibrant?? I'm also dosing NP bacto balance and didn't know if it's that???
I haven't gotten a film on my water surface. I have a ton of flow and great surface agitation though.
@@shallowreefing thanks for the reply mate. It's more like you know if you put oil on water ??? Can only see it of a night time tho??

Can I run chemipure blue while using Vibrant reef?
I don’t see why not? It doesn’t say anything about removing media.
Do you recommend turning skimmer off
I kept mine on and everything was great

Thanks! I have a mandarin and yellow coris wrasse. It’s better for them to have sand.
