I love it as well as refresh and waste away. Refresh and waste away cleaned up my hair algae and this has removed the bubble algae a little at a time.. I am waiting to see some algae for that serious gift. lol Happy Thanksgiving Billy!
Thanks you I believe this video was meant to be. Because I just got my vibrant in yesterday and I was a little scared to dos it but I did now I'm glad. I have a 90 gallon SPS dominant tank. And so far everything is going great except my cheato I can tell it a little impact on it. I have some patches of turf algea I want gone. Do you have cheato? And how does it effect your P and N and do you keep your same feeding schedule. I don't want starve my corals or fish. thank you again for your this great video Billy.
I haven't seen any changes in my nitrates or phosphates. I feed the same. I'm not running any chaeto but I believe it can slowly degrade the macro algae
WOW! Impressed! Your tank is spotless under white lights! i am having either diatoms or dinos since my nutrients got so low (dosing nopox) and I did a water change! I usually change water every 10 days but went longer and when I did my sand looked like diatoms everywhere after a few days and the wavemakers got coated in a velvet type algae and glass as well got real bad. Before that the nitrates skyrocked to 80 from adding to many frags at once and feeding reefroids! I added around 30 frags and b4 that had none! LOL. I got carried away because I won a lot of them! Anyway I read low nutrients cause dinos after a waterchange but they arent stingy, so I am not sure what to do since I dont know what it is! . I started dosing MB7 and over feeding to get phosphates up from 0 and nitrates are 2 and they wont rise so I added brightwells phosphates only once so far and did nothing. Last night I added vibrant and am going to just use this. i think nutrients wont up because these bacterias lower them as well. Any suggestions to get them up? i thought about adding a bunch of fish food in a bag and let it breakdown but that is kind of drastic. I only have 2 fish in my 36 gallon so been feeding corals nightly and before just feeding 2 x a week it uped like crazy and now wont budge!
I stop feeding coral all together. I let the lights and 2 part dosing give em everything they need. I would recommend not doing anything too drastic or fast.
Awesome video!!!! Thank you so much. Starting up a new system and after a few weeks into the startup and nitrates start to show up I thought I would start with Vibrant. What is your bio load as far as fish 🐠 and method of nutrient export?
I have just started dosing this today as I have bad hair algae and Dino red speckles in the tank and I hope this does what it claims and how you mentioned it does.
Man your videos always make me laugh. I might be keeping an eye out for some algae outbreaks on your rocks cause i would love a serious gift, maybe some acans..😉
When I used this it melted my refugium, but I had a very low nutrient system at the time. I cant remember, do you run a refugium, and if so what macro do you use?
Hey i watched several videos and you have such a clean system! Almost nothing comes out of your rocks & sand ! Crazy serious husbandry. To the point I was wondering if uou do not have your CUC starving ? Is there still some food for snails, hermit crabs, urchins etc… ??
Thanks. And I feed the tank pretty good. The cuc has a good amount of leftover food. I always keep blue legs hermits and different snails. Cuc is I think the most important part of a clean tank and most people don't like to spend money on them. I replenish new hermits and snails evey 4-6 months👍
We have a 16 gallon nano cube. We ALWAYS have some sort of algea somewhere. It's really hard to balance the nutrients in vs. Nutrients out in our small pool. We ordered this a couple days ago. Hoping it helps even just a little bit!
Great tank, thanks for this tip. I would like to ask you one more thing, what filter did you put in your camera that turn the image amazing n the minute 5:32?
I use Vibrant as well. Good product but pricey as you mentioned. I initially started using it becuz of green bubble algae & a little hair algae. I have absolutely no hair algae & it very very slowly is getting rid of the bubble algae. I used to sift around the sand too, but ever since I added my gobey, he does a great job of that & that's one less thing I have to do. He has lots of personality too!
Glad it working well for you bud. Man, I ended up getting cyano after using Vibrant..I’ve since read that others have as well. I’ve been battling cyano ever since. I’ve removed cyano using Boyd’s Chemiclean treatments 3x now..but it keeps returning as soon as I begin maintenance doses of Vibrant again. Really bizarre...I never had cyano issues before. I’d sure like to know what’s different for those of us that experience this..
Great video chief. Great to know. Will implement on prior tanks and look forward to using in newer setups. Do you run carbon in a reactor as well or would this be suffice? Also would it work on cyano?
I’m running out of options and my tank is crashing due to algae explosion. It’s completely covered everything in the tank and lowered my nitrates and phosphate to zero. I was thinking of grabbing this as a last ditch effort. I have great hair and bubble. Also thank you so much for this video, I’m really just at a loss on what to do and it’s really depressing seeing things slowly die off even with water changes every week.
I started a new Nano tank and had Bubble Algae pop up. Literally did 1 dose of vibrant and it was gone in 2 days. Only concern I have for continued use is I have a small fuge with Chaeto and consistent use could kill the Chaeto
I just got some of this for the hair algae in my sump. Started dosing a week ago. We’ll see how it goes. I’m dosing 13ml twice a week for a 56x24x20 with a trigger 39 sump. I figure that’s about 130/140ish gallons total water volume.
I think im gonna try this. Ive been unable to do maintenance in my 38 gallon mixed reef. My bloom? is on the back glass as i can easily get to all the other sides. ( i hurt my back), Its $32 right now. Need this stuff. And... I hope it works!!! Think I will subscribe.
It does always looks so clean. Now I know the secret maybe. I was actually going to try it for bubble algae but little did I know my Salfin Tang started eating it so I never bought it also because I run chateo I hear it kills it as well? Tank looks great.
Great video! I have a Red Sea 135g tank. Moved it Fall 2020 used new aragonite sand, but everything else was transferred as it was…rock, coral, fish. Tank had been doing well, went thru a small cycle, but then a small to moderate outbreak of cyano started. Few things I was able to indemnity as the perhaps the problem. New sand, phosphate at 0, nitrate low at 5 and I was only running 1 is 2 max spect gyre. So I added 2nd gyre, started dosing phosphate to .05 and nitrate at 6.5ppm. However even with water changes, cyano is being stubborn. After more research I’m realizing my problem is the micro fauna in tank is out of wack. So started Microbacter7 but then I read and watch several videos on Vibrant. Just got a bottle. I did a round of Chemiclean, doing water change today then dosing Vibrant. Hoping to finally!!!! Get my tank back in order. Fish coral are thriving, rock is spotless…just cyano on sand bed
Do you dose based on your systems total water volume without rocks and sand or do you try to estimate how much water is in your tank and then dose? Still using it after 2 years? Hoping to use this to deal with some bubble algae this weekend.
I've dosed it weekly and I'll keep doing it as long as it's still a product 👍 and I dose by total water volume. When I set the tank up we counted every gallon that went in it after rocks, sand, and all equipment

What filtration are you running ?, I’m using gfo & nopox with a chaeto reactor to help with ph at night. No3 0.25-1ppm Po4 undetectable but I have brown algae forming I don’t get it. I’m thinking of just taking the chaeto reactor offline for good & running gfo/carbon dosing & vibrant. Tank looks great you’ve earnt a sub
Thank you very much. So i was running carbon and gfo for the longest time, while also dosing vibrant weekly. I never ran any macro algae. But not too long ago i decided to continue dosing vibrant and totally stopped using carbon and gfo. Installed a uv sterilizer and the tank never looked better👍
Billy Pipes do you think this product would work on what seems like an algae that continues to grow in low nutrient environments ? It’s like brown hair algae so to speak but not Dino/diatoms .. still trying to figure out what it is, hoping vibrant does the trick Will be taking my chaeto reactor offline & planning on sticking with carbon dosing gfo & weekly dose of vibrant.
Billy Pipes it’s got me pretty impressed dude the tank is immaculate really well done if the vibrant is helping to keep it looking that good I can’t wait to start using it myself lol
I had a huge outbreak of bubble algae, and this kicked its butt. After all that bubble algae died off, my po4 went really high. Had to knock that back at the same time also.
Hi just getting a bottle of vibrant today, my tanks doesn’t have that much algae in it just on the back glass and the sand gets a bit algae on it ,can you tell. E if you remove carbon and rowaphos or should I just leave everything in my tank, I’m planning on dosingnweekly aswell
I get film algae often and I am finding myself scrubbing the glass about 2x a week, however it is difficult to hit some parts of the back glass and the film algae back there is getting thicker and darker. Would this product help for that kind of algae?

It Really helped me with Bubble Algea.
Nice! I hear it's awesome for that👍👍👍
Vibrant got rid of my bubble algea outbreak, I love this stuff.
Ive heard its like the only thing that kills bubble algae 👍👍
Great vid. I used it in my 425xl and was really impressed. More people should know about it.
Definitely Ken👍👍👍
Heya! Glad you like Vibrant :)
It's an awesome product 👍👌👌
If Ziggy and Pamela ever decide they don’t want to eat algae, I’m going to try Vibrant. Thanks for the video! 👍🏻👍🏻
Lol👍👍😁
I just found this product and it works great. My bubble algea is dying and so is the hair algea. Love your videos Billy!!
Awesome 👍 I love this stuff
Good video Pipes!!
Your reef looks pretty awesome on my 60” smart tv lol and nope I don’t see any algae 👌👌👌👌👌👍👍👍👍👍👍
Lol 👍👍👍
Just started using it... its bottled awesomeness
I agree with you 🤯
I think it’s cool 😎 that you answer every question 🙋♂️
Thankyou, I try to get them all👍
euphyllia gardens hit different. ur tank is stunning
Thank you
I love it as well as refresh and waste away. Refresh and waste away cleaned up my hair algae and this has removed the bubble algae a little at a time.. I am waiting to see some algae for that serious gift. lol Happy Thanksgiving Billy!
Thanks Ken, happy Thanksgiving to you too 👍👍
Love me some Vibrant been using it for 2 years
Heck yeah pancake boy😁😁😁
Great stuff! Just started using it a few weeks ago myself.
Give it time and it will work wonders 👍
Joe Mangone Do you have to leave the protein skimmer off
Great product! I will test it shortly!
👍👍

If this stuff works on my reef it will be a God sent. I've always have had an ugly tank no matter what I do or used. Just did my first dose
Dose it weekly and give it time. It will work so good👍👍👍
Im going to give this a try for my invert tank.
👍👍 it doesn't bother inverts at all
This may be a stupid question,...but can you use this stuff on a new tank setup during the cycle to curb the "ugly" phase?
I have. And now that I think about it, I never had the ugly stage🤔
Awesome video!!!! Thank you so much.
Starting up a new system and after a few weeks into the startup and nitrates start to show up I thought I would start with Vibrant. What is your bio load as far as fish 🐠 and method of nutrient export?
Small bioload. I used a skimmer and did water changes
def. getting me a bottle... thanks for the tip!!!👍👍
Anytime Will 👍
I have just started dosing this today as I have bad hair algae and Dino red speckles in the tank and I hope this does what it claims and how you mentioned it does.
In time it will definitely get rid of hair algae 👍 not sure about Dino's tho
do I have to have skimmer to use this? my 29g doesn't have one and there is an algae issue in that tank and I want to get rid of it!
Doesn't require a skimmer 👍
Im about to order a bottle of that stuff right now 💯💯
Bout time!!!
I am on the fence with this. Been reading opposite from what you’ve stated. I can’t risk my softies.
It never bothered and of my softies

Great product
I love it👍
Great tank, thanks for this tip. I would like to ask you one more thing, what filter did you put in your camera that turn the image amazing n the minute 5:32?
I used the orphek gen 2 phone lens kit👍

I do still run carbon 👍 I'm not sure if it helps with cyano. I would think it doesn't
Awesome video/s, keep em coming! I gotta a large fugue with chaeto, you see any ill effects vibrant has on growing chaeto?
If the neutrients in the tank get low it can start to kill the chaeto
Going to try it , to get rid of my Turf algi 🤞😀🏴
It takes 4-6 weeks to work on turf algae. It cleared mine perfectly 👌
I’m running out of options and my tank is crashing due to algae explosion. It’s completely covered everything in the tank and lowered my nitrates and phosphate to zero. Thank you, and i dont turn it off and haven't seen any negative effects.

Nice vid and tank. what type of sand is that?
Caribsea seafloor special grade👍
Hey been using vibrant for about a month or so to get rid of some turf algae - QQ is it me or does Vibrant also inhibit coraline growth?
I haven't seen any issues with Coraline algae. All my cuc are purple 👍
I think im gonna try this. Ive been unable to do maintenance in my 38 gallon mixed reef. My bloom? is on the back glass as i can easily get to all the other sides. ( i hurt my back),

Beautiful work of live Art... Absolutely stunning!
👍👍👍 thanks
ty for this
👍👍👍
hey there. do you use it exactly as instructed? i just bought some...
Yes. Just make sure the bottle if specifically for the type of aquarium you have
Nice video! Do you turn off your UV or pull out any carbon before hand? Thank you !!
I leave the uv on. And carbon stays too. I found that if I dose it weekly even if there's no issues I don't need to use carbon at all
@@BillyPipes yea I’m doing the same method just always asked myself if Uv is on does it still work 🧐thanks mate
Great vdieo - just subscribed

Hey Billy, very good video! Question: How is Vibrant treating your Chaeto?
It does kill the chaeto very very slowly
Hey Billy. I have bad hair algae. You think I should use Vibrant or Reef Flux? Thanks
Vibrant will work it just takes a while but it's a safe result for the tank
If I m using Dr Tim's waste away Gel can use Vibrant? Thanks in advance
Ive never used dr tims before so im not sure
Are you still using vibrant without any side effects?
Works like a charm
Good one Billy. Has anybody used this with an Acropora dominated tank? Please let me know.
Hey Billy. How you combat Nitrate and Phosphate now the you use Vibrant for long time?
I honestly rarely check my nitrates and phosphates. But I use marinepure spheres for nitrates and phosgaurd for phosphates 👍
Do you dose based on your systems total water volume without rocks and sand or do you try to estimate how much water is in your tank and then dose? Still using it after 2 years? Hoping to use this to deal with some bubble algae this weekend.

No3 0.25-1ppm
Po4 undetectable but I have brown algae forming I don’t get it.
I’m thinking of just taking the chaeto reactor offline for good & running gfo/carbon dosing & vibrant.

How long did you do water changes when using this product? and do I have to shut the skimmer down?
I do weekly water changes, and i never shut the skimmer down👍
Are you still using Vibrant? Does it drop your nutrients to nothing? What do you think about it being found out it is a Algaecide?
I'll always use vibrant as long as it's for sale. It's perfect all around
Hi billy do you turn off protein skimmer when you dose
No I don't 👍
this any different/better than dr. tims waste away? trying to compare the two
I've had such great results I never tried anything else
I had a huge outbreak of bubble algae, and this kicked its butt. After all that bubble algae died off, my po4 went really high. Had to knock that back at the same time also.
Yeah it definitely gets rid of bubble algae fast👍
How long did it take for the Diatoms to go away after you started dosing? Thanks
I think it was around 4-5 weeks
When it kills the bubble algea do you think it will grow back?
It could if you stop using too soon
Do I need to remove my chemi pure blue out of my tank while dosing this?
Nope. I never removed mine
I would leave everything and start dosing biweekly for a few months to see how it goes
Billy Pipes ok cheers, thanks for replying
I get film algae often and I am finding myself scrubbing the glass about 2x a week, however it is difficult to hit some parts of the back glass and the film algae back there is getting thicker and darker. Would this product help for that kind of algae?
I think it will help👍 my glass stays pretty clean
Hey Billy, maybe you won't respond because it is quite a while since you posted the vid, but I will still try!
I would like to use Vibrant for my big reef aquarium (1200 litres, including sump) but I read bad stuff about Vibrant on forums everywhere. Mostly people that use it to get rid of algae and then stop using it, and THEN have a massive cyano outbreak.
What are your thoughts on this?
Hey, so i used it every week for about 2 years. Then i ran out and forgot to get more. I realized it after about 2 months then started using it again. In the 2 month period of not using it i no cyano or any other issues 👍
But your water was less clear? That is why you started using it again?
Does that stuff limit the effects of a refugium by eating away the cheato?
It can slowly degrade the chaeto
Do you have to remove the carbon when you use it
Nope
Does it kill coralline algae as well? Some people told me that it works on damn near all types of algae.
Nope, check out my latest update. My rock is almost 100% covered in coraline in only 16 months👍
Can I use Vibrant while running chemipure blue?
Yup. I dose it weekly no matter what I'm using in my filtration
Does it help with dinos? I’ve been having dinos forever :(. Also can i use phosguard still with this product
Ive never had dinos so im not sure sorry
Does this stuff stop the coralline algae grow as well?
Definitely not in my tank
Hi, do you have a refugium and if so does the product affect your macro algae?
I don't at the moment. I have in the past and the chaeto was ok
I’d be curious to know if it works on caulpora
Hmm I haven't seen any tests on it
Can I use this product with carbon or do I need to pull it out the directions don’t say anything about that?
You can. I ran a carbon reactor while using it and had no issues
billy i have an AIO , can you dose this in the back or no ?
Yup
Can i dose vibrant on my new aquarium which is just cycled. 1 month old tank. can i ?
Yes👍👍
Will it take out cheato in the refugium
I wasnt running a refugium, but I've heard it can slowly degrade macro algae
Hey bro is there a difference between the saltwater aquarium or reef aquarium or just the name
Yes. Reef aquarium version is needed if you have coral in the tank
Wld this work for green water?
Not sure about that. A uv sterilizer works best for green water. But vibrant did make my tank water crystal clear. I'd try it for 1-2 months to see
Works for green hair algae? I have in my tank can’t get out but I just do naturally
I don't have any hair algae but many others say it does kill it slowly
can you use vibrant with refugium?
Yes, but it might slowly degrade any macro algae you have
I'm going to try it too my tank is horrible ☹
It takes about 3 weeks to start seeing things breakdown 👍
wait so you dose 1ml per 10 gallons every single week? forever?
You dont have to do it the way i do. I just made it a part of my weekly routine and it gave me awesome results
Do you still do water changes
Yes, every week👍
Do you get any coraline when using vibrant
Yup. Plenty of Coraline algae growing for me 👍👍
Will this work with green cyanobacteria? They sell it at absolutely fish in jersey you said?
I'm not sure, I've never had green cyano before. And I believe they still sell it there. I bought it on ebay most of the time
@@BillyPipes ok cool thanks im gonna go there tomorrow and ask what they think I appreciate the response dude👍
So why did you stop sifting the sand as often?
I've just been busy
Will my trochus snails and hermit crabs die if I add this to my tank?
No👍
Do you have snails in your tank since you have no algea?
I do have a good clean up crew
Do you run any type of phosguard with this?
Yes👍👍
what lighting are you using? on this tank?
At the time of the video i was running 2 xr15 g4 pros and 2-48" actibic t5s. But now im running 4 xr15 g4 pros only
Can I use for my fish only marine aquarium
Yes, but if you dont have any coral at all they make a fish only version👍
Billy Pipes I can’t find the fish only product
I found the fish only product do I need to shut off protein skimmer ??
👍💜
Do you also carbon dose ?
No . I've never carbon dosed
