If you want more info about Daidaiirokani aka Koby then look at the navy coats, those are the biggest giveaways. All of them have their respective colors on their coats hand cuffs and shoulder pads but Koby only has it on his shoulders to make it less obvious so that the reveal would be more impactful. Kurouma, Momousagi and Tokikake were already obviously confirmed if you paid attention, an easy search up on these would do the trick. Smoker (White Hunter) could be theorized to be an Admiral candidate in the future considering he is the only one with an actual Logia devil fruit that represents his color name aka "white" but Smoker isn't associated with an 'Animal' as all Admirals and Admiral candidates are ALWAYS associated with animals, Smoker also doesn't have naval coat with any significant hints as to what his signature color may be, though, his coat has Green outlines but we already have a Green Admiral aka Ryukugyu. A lot of people say Smoker is gonna be the Shirohebi (White Snake) and they used Zodiac signs as their evidence but Oda takes his Animals from the 'Momotaru Story' and the only other Animal that is in the Momotaru story that hasn't been associated with the Marines is the DRAGON. But obviously the evidence is far too low thus making this theory not creditable enough. But IF Smoker was an Admiral candidate then he would be: Shirojoyo: ........................... I wonder if Sakazuki found himself in a similar situation to Nami; his home was ruled over and extorted by pirates, and he was helpless to stop them. No he has power, and he won't rest until the filth that abused him as a child are utterly exterminated.
I have a feeling that Akainu's backstory us going to be extremely tragic. Something akin to Zephyr's from Film Z. Maybe his village was destroyed by Rocks, and he was the only survivor. And that's what sparked his hatred for pirates because Sakazuki saw the worst pirate to have ever lived and take everything he loves, and that's why he has Absolute Justice. Because from his point of view, all pirates are just as bad as Rocks. I also think he will rebel against the Gorosei once he realizes that they themselves are also evil and thus must be brought to justice.
Considering Sakazuki is my absolutely favorite character, thank you for this awesome video. I was thinking basically the same things so it felt like a brainstorming session.
Akainu being metaphorically chained makes him symbolically Fenrir. So he might be the one to kill Odin- because I’m convinced that Prince Loki is an imposter to the throne with Odin being the true king. And if he dies, a potential son named Thor might take his place.
31:41 I can picture Sakazuki just going silent for a moment, then “alright. I get it.” Another moment of silence, and then in about one second Pangaea Castle goes from normal operations to a puddle on the ground as Sakazuki just snaps and flips on his DF awakening 🤣

He has the offensive devil fruit and yeah if he a crew full of op pirates sure. Wb could’ve became pirate king if wanted to as well but that’s not his goal hell any yonko with a person who could read poneglyphs could’ve done the same
Akainu's appearances are fitting because where I live the temp is 30°C and rising (~90 °Freedom units) with a prediction of 40°C by the end of the week (104°F)
I relate to Akainu's current situation, yearning to earn a new role at your work place because you thought it was one thing, just to see its a completely different thing
Akainu was projecting on Kuma. Kuma is a robot without humanity but still has something he fights for. Meanwhile, akainu is a human that reached the effective top of his goal. Akainu feels like the mindless dog that he projecta kuma to be.
The codenames of the Admirals seem to be based on the animals of the chinese zodiac (dragon, dog, rooster, bull, tiger, goat, snake, horse, rat, rabbit, pig, monkey) and a color. So Akainu= Red + Dog, Kizaru= Yellow+ Monkey, Fujitora= Purple + Tiger, Greenbull= Green + bull, Aokiji= Blue+ Pheasant (it's not rooster but the refrence kinda stands). Akainu's Fleet Admiral coat still has his color on his sleeves (red) and Sengoku's fleet admiral coat has a white color on his sleeves so Sengoku's color is most likely white. Sengoku has a pet goat so his animal is probably a goat. So his code name would be White + Goat=Shiroyagi (I don't know if I got the Japanese part of his codename right).
We also have the two vice admirals who were contenders for the open admiral spots named pink rabbit (Momousagi) and brown pig (Chaton). Also don't forget captain rat from the arlong arc :D
I think Akainu personally wanted to handle Kuma by himself rather than ordered by the Gorosei, considering he was just cooped up in the office for so long. He was aching for action.😅
17:45 He wouldn't be damaged because his power prevents any damage from outside forces to come into the paw cocoon. We saw this with Luffy's cocoon being aatacked by the calm belt sea kings as he was heading to Amazon Lily.
I feel like currently Sakazuki is still coping and thinks that EVEN IF all the Celestial Dragons and the Gorosei are completely unjust people, him and them still have a kinda similar goal of killing all the other horrible people that want to harm humanity. BUT, the moment he meets IMU and that the most unjust, evil, and horrible person literally calling himself "The King of the World" is the person that Akainu is supposed to protect and defend from others so that this corrupt, unjust ruler can keep his claws tight around the entire world for even longer. That is when Sakazuki snaps. Either at that exact moment or the moment he gets back to his office. I imagine his usual thought process as "If I kill every person that might have unjust intentions then the world would be a better place." He's not brute forcing this ideology, but he's being smart about it. Thinking that if he needs to work with some evil people to achieve this goal then it's not that bad. But there is a genuine possibility that his justice gears would start turning after realizing that the pirates aren't the most unjust people in the world.
Historically, revolutions are successful not because the masses rise up, but because the secondmost-powerful group does. In the case of the world government, with the dragons, knights, gorosei and Imu on top, the second "rank" would be the wider marine organization. Remember Dragon mentioned they don't want to get rid of the world government and the marines. Just the Celestial Dragons. Especially given One Piece can get surprisingly "real" when Oda wants, it might be a nice moment for that. Sabo can't avenge Ace because Sakazuki is a collaborator now. Luffy still could though, being a pirate.
16:20 I would also like to say that Akainu & Kuma are both similar at this point in the story because they are both considered slaves in their own ways do different masters, while Akainu saw his personified self image upon taking up The Fleet Admiral position. He no longer has ambition,he is not his own man anymore, his freedoms are taken away by the Gorosei, and yet he lives on fir his daughter so that he can finally say goodbye to her when the time comes.
If Hibari is indeed Sakazuki's daughter, and I hope so, I can imagine a fun scene where he's scolding some Marines and she come over and shouts at him to stop, and he does :D
Your comment on Vivi being near Kuma and being able to get her hands on the Paw-Paw fruit made me realize something funny: do you think it's possible someone would pick up a normal fruit to eat it, and by the time they take a bite of it, oops, it has turned into a Devil Fruit?
Seeing Akainu have to just take the verbal abuse from a Celestial Dragon angry that all the revolutions around the world disrupted a shipment of lobster really highlights just how little authority Akainu commands.
I bet that a position of Kaido would suit Sakazuki so much more. Both are the Might makes right characters and have the combat capabilities to prove it. And we saw in the recent Anime Episode that Kaido was sold to the Marines. So a World where both were Admirals was a small possibility at some point.
Fujitora is the kindest admiral of the all and the (imo) most likely to become an ally, so that would kinda be like the tiger going against the (celestial) dragon(s) like in the mythology
Sakazuki being more humanized, beint annoyed by the nobles, feeling like a government dog and not the one calling the shots. Could lead to some very interesting development for him. I also wonder if Hibari really is his daughter, would be a nice parallel to Kuma.
following that theme, sakazuki and aokijis devil fruits both fit them quite well, aokiji is more the type who can be reasoned with and his devil fruit allows him to capture or spare his opponent while sakazukis is complete destruction like take no prisoners
Also, getting to see the Celestial Dragons for what they really are might make Sakazuki a little more open to the message of the Revolutionary Army 😅 not to the point of marching off and joining them; but if he hasn’t rebelled himself, then when they show up at the gates of Mariejois, he might’ve been sent to stop them but just “you know what? You know fkin what? Screw that, this is Justice.” And then he just starts yeeting meteors back into the city.
If you ever go and visit Iceland you can record a video about all the admirals... There are volcanoes (both active and inactive), big glaciers, beautiful northern lights and believe it or not but we even have gravity and some trees!!!
Honestly, the exchange between Akainu and Kuma felt like, Akainu, was asking himself the questions. There's a lot of parallels to where Akainu is at as an Fleet Admiral and Kuma volunteering to be a Pacifista.
Maybe it just me, but I honestly see Sakazuki fighting Kuma to be more like Sakazuki fighting himself here or him conversing himself a bit. Perhaps he sees Kuma like himself. A machine with no free will and being control. All of his comments to Kuma could very well fit Sakazuki as a person. Maybe deep down, he does feel like he's just a puppet to the World Government.
When I first read the chapter, I kinda just assumed Sakazuki happened to be at Mariejois when Kuma attacked for an in-person meeting with the Five Elders
Is it possible that Akainu didn't know that becoming Fleet Admiral meant way less freedom, and less action on the field? I don't think is possible he didn't know, with all the experience of being an Admiral and all of that, under the command of Sengoku.
1:00 I fucking love all of tekkings intros. They're always so much fun. I don't know where he gets all that energy but I wish I could borrow some of it sometimes. Also if that is bed head and he is like this first thing in the morning, what is he like with sugar? Or caffeine?
I think Sengoku’s admiral codename was White Goat or Shiroyagi. If you look at the jacket cuffs of all the admirals, they have cuffs the same color as the color in their codename. Aokiji’s cuffs were blue, Akainu’s cuffs were red, Kizaru’s cuffs were yellow, etc. When he is promoted to fleet admiral, Sakazuki is still seen wearing the coat with the red cuffs. This establishes that an admiral doesn’t necessarily get a new coat when promoted. Sengoku wears a coat with white cuffs, not the maroon that lower ranked officers wear. He also has that pet goat. I’m going to guess Kong was the Monkey before Borsalino. My guess is it was Silver Monkey, in reference to silverback gorillas. I know gorillas are apes, not monkeys but they’re typically so conflated that it works.
I'm listening to that saddest moment with Kuma and I'm like "Tekking! I'm on my way to work I cannot be bawling my eyes out in the middle of traffic dammit!" 😭😭
Shanks crew could be coating masters. They could be able to make auras so managed that they can stand on air. They could even become giant by using some secret art.
I'm running a Dungeons and Dragons campaign that takes place at the start of the Great Pirate era, and the three admirals are Kinbutsu (Sengoku), as well as Ginryu and Shironeko (originals), with Kong as the Fleet Admiral.
possible backstory for akainu: - he had a f***ed up past/childhood - gets saved by dragon who might be a navy soldier - idolizes dragon and saw him as an idol/senpai/mentor/friend - dragon leaves navy and this upsets akainu...
Maybe Kuma was programmed to meet Bonnie once all his humanity was gone and he became fully “machine”. Then Bonnie will became able to revert him back permanently to a time where he had his consciousness since her power would work on a nonliving object. Could be why she emotionally did a 180 cuz she knows she can get her dad back now.
Thank you Tekking for telling the RUclips community that you Stream on Twitch now. And Thank you Tekking for uploading the streams on youtube. Replace *Thank* with one other word that is less friendly
I want to see Akainus reaction to what happens at egghead. If Dragon shows up and he somehow helps Luffy escape he would be so pissed, I would wanna see him destroy his desk with his magma powers would be kinda great.
Akainu having a daughter is something that’s been floating around but I just thought about a parallel between him and Kuma. If his daughter is also a marine, that could be a large reason that he is “chained” to the marines because, like Kuma, if he disobeys they can take her as collateral.
My One Piece fic set 20 years in the past features Sengoku during his time as an Admiral, and the name I came up with for him is Kaneyagi, or "gold goat." Because he has a goat. And he's gold.
What of Sakazukis backstory is like the other side of the coin to Kobys backstory. What if he was taken by pirates and forced to be their cabin boy/slave and forced to endure that daily humiliation, and the reason he went so far into the absolute justice mindset is because unlike Koby, young Sakazuki never met a Luffy.
I strongly believe what decided the fight between Kuzan & Akainu was Akainu having conquerers haki & gaining the coating version. Edit: Also the God's Knights not showing up proves to me they are the strongest in the WG under the Gorosei.
Hey tekking I am sure you've heard this before, but as far as I'm aware in all of your videos about the geography of the one piece world you always mention the grandline as the equator and the red line as the prime meridian. But as a lot of people have pointed out, everytime we see a compass on a map where we can see the grandline, redline or the calmbelt it is always rotated 45° relative to the grandline (e.g. when nami first explained the redline and when law explained the routes after wano) Now if you have mentioned this before please correct me but if not I am quite suprised you haven't covered this yet. Thanks for the good content mate Edit: apparently this rotated view makes the 4 blues actually be located in the actual north east west and south. I think more fittingly, his justice is Suicidal Justice. Makes sense too with his chest tattoo.
"akainu scolding some marine" well he already scold Koby 😂
Cringe
watching episode 58 right now I'll be back for this video when i catch up
Your comment on Vivi being near Kuma and being able to get her hands on the Paw-Paw fruit made me realize something funny: do you think it's possible someone would pick up a normal fruit to eat it, and by the time they take a bite of it, oops, it has turned into a Devil Fruit?
Seeing Akainu have to just take the verbal abuse from a Celestial Dragon angry that all the revolutions around the world disrupted a shipment of lobster really highlights just how little authority Akainu commands.
I bet that a position of Kaido would suit Sakazuki so much more. Both are the Might makes right characters and have the combat capabilities to prove it. And we saw in the recent Anime Episode that Kaido was sold to the Marines. So a World where both were Admirals was a small possibility at some point.
I want Smoker vs Akainu- the Mad Dog vs the Red Dog
I'm already excited for plant facts!
Love the videos tekking ur the first one piece RUclips I ever watched and my my it’s been a quite a journey
I still say that the most extreme videos you've ever done were the Field series. Bring that back next year!
After the part where you were comparing Akainu and Aokiji, I find myself wanting to hear Kuzan singing a cover of "Free Bird."
following that theme, sakazuki and aokijis devil fruits both fit them quite well, aokiji is more the type who can be reasoned with and his devil fruit allows him to capture or spare his opponent while sakazukis is complete destruction like take no prisoners
You got me hyped about an extreme one piece video. Somehow we gotta just fly you out to exotic plot relevant locations for chapter reviews.
Me and my brother have always had this theory that if Sakazuki finds out about Imu, he will go ballistic and try to fight the Goresie.
Animals facts at the end of the video is just an awesome idea. I love it.
Thank you for including my one and only wife, Karlach in this video. BG3 Supremacy.
Good point
When I first read the chapter, I kinda just assumed Sakazuki happened to be at Mariejois when Kuma attacked for an in-person meeting with the Five Elders
One of my favorite characters in the series and i cant wait until we get deeper into his character
Is it possible that Akainu didn't know that becoming Fleet Admiral meant way less freedom, and less action on the field? I don't think is possible he didn't know, with all the experience of being an Admiral and all of that, under the command of Sengoku.
Keep up the awesome work and videos tekking love the video
Sen Goku was 100% Shiroyagi. The White Goat of the marines.
Wouldn't the Golden Buddha make more sense ?
Nah, Gold Goat
I'm listening to that saddest moment with Kuma and I'm like "Tekking! I'm on my way to work I cannot be bawling my eyes out in the middle of traffic dammit!" 😭😭
Shanks crew could be coating masters. They could be able to make auras so managed that they can stand on air. They could even become giant by using some secret art.
The idea of tecking traveling to do one pice videos is hilarious and I want to see it
Kuma is 1 of 2 people who solo climbed the red line to the Holy Land Mary Geoise
I'm running a Dungeons and Dragons campaign that takes place at the start of the Great Pirate era, and the three admirals are Kinbutsu (Sengoku), as well as Ginryu and Shironeko (originals), with Kong as the Fleet Admiral.
possible backstory for akainu:
- he had a f***ed up past/childhood
- gets saved by dragon who might be a navy soldier
- idolizes dragon and saw him as an idol/senpai/mentor/friend
- dragon leaves navy and this upsets akainu...
Great video. Sakazuki is an interesting character.
I’m curious to see kuma interact with the straw hats this is their first time all seeing him post timeskip after he saved them and protected the sunny
Sengoku could have been the Golden Goat. It fits the color+animal theme and the zodiac theme. Plus he's got that cute goat.
I want to see Akainus reaction to what happens at egghead. If Dragon shows up and he somehow helps Luffy escape he would be so pissed, I would wanna see him destroy his desk with his magma powers would be kinda great.
23:32 i was thinking you were gonna go the golblin slayer route with that
Was not ready for that baldurs gate frame
19:15 Is that why the Black beard crew is there? To pick up leftover treasures? They should want the Paw-Paw fruit.
the title is briliant
Sakazuki got dat DAWG in em.
I can't imagine a version of the story where akainu actually rebels against the world government
Dude now I wanna see that video near a volcano come to life
TEKKING 101: The DOG of the One Piece RUclipsr
Just had to be her as soon as possible for my favorite Marine.
Akainu having a daughter is something that’s been floating around but I just thought about a parallel between him and Kuma. If his daughter is also a marine, that could be a large reason that he is “chained” to the marines because, like Kuma, if he disobeys they can take her as collateral.
If kuma really wants to say goodbye to Bonny, maybe the Iron giant while he reached Mary geois also wanted to say goodbye to someone, maybe to Lilly?
Tekking I love u thanks for the amazing vids ❤
Mt. Kilauea in Hawaii is currently erupting so now’s your chance Tekking!
17:50 imagine its just his mangled corpse, and he just lands in front of bonnie
6:25 And he has the balls to call Kuma a puppet, while tangled in his own strings
I could totally picture Sakazuki snapping and just launching magma fists in the city
My One Piece fic set 20 years in the past features Sengoku during his time as an Admiral, and the name I came up with for him is Kaneyagi, or "gold goat." Because he has a goat. And he's gold.
Damn I'm pretty early, I guess working at 12am has it's perks.
Just in time for my nap, nice
why is nobody talking about kumas memorybubble? i hope kuma gets to his "soul/memories" and becomes a human again... THAT would be epic :D
Same, I can't see Aokiji having Conqueror's- it wouldn't fit his characterization
@@dontgetmarriedliterally only sengoku is the only confirmed conquerors user
@@goddessyamato5238….garp
I think Oda just forgot about Kong as he just disappeared from the story!
I can understand him forgeting some low ranking characters bu someone whos above the fleet admiral is impossible to forget
@animoments8969 In that case he will appear when Akainu is defeated and use his King Kong mythical zoan powers.
It would be so satisfying to see Sakazuki lay waste to the celestial dragons.
Thanks for the good content mate
Edit: apparently this rotated view makes the 4 blues actually be located in the actual north east west and south. There are some nice graphics on the one piece reddit.
