    You block the high shots on your right side with your left glove. My trainer always told me to never do that since it blocks your view of the ball and it brings you off balance. Your footwork looks good though and you've got some nice saves man! Great videos.

      Thanks again for the support. And regarding the left handed blocks, i just feel a lot more comfortable being able to clear the ball with my left hand guard than my right purely because of the shape of the equipment. I guess i'll either have to change my technique or just relay on my reactions to get back across goal haha :D

      I think Ruben makes a good point but each coach has their own opinion on how to do it.
      traditional coaches say don't move your left hand across but contemporary coaches say do what ever feels comfortable and stops the goal from being scored.
      if you are saving them by using the left hand pad like you are on this video then continue doing it. It's when you consistently make the mistake, conceed goals and don't learn from the mistakes thats when your technique needs to change.
      if it ain't broke don't fix it.

    At approx. 1:00 just a tip, if you save the ball, and it doesnt go very far, run up to it and hit/kick it away

    Hey alex I was just wondering what's the difference between the the hi control and hi rebound kickers 🏑

    • @AlexWitty
      @AlexWitty  7 лет назад +1

      Seb Harrup as far as I'm aware the difference between the control and the rebound is the density of the foam. For example the foam on the control kickers aren't packed as densely so the impact of the ball is absorbed into the foam. However the rebound is designed with the intention of having the ball spring off the kicker, this is why the foam on the hi rebound is packed tighter and denser. Hope this was helpful!

    try to focus on keeping your weight/balance at one point/stable. it will increase the speed of you follow-up actions drastically

      Amy Molloy I do a lot of sprints at training and also drills such as weaving through cones which helps with quick direction change

    Do it with music now it s boring

    • @AlexWitty
      @AlexWitty  7 лет назад

      Music is a tricky one, some people can really like a video based on the music and some people will hate a video because of poor music choice. If im not doing like a compilation then I probably wont use music. Put your own stuff on in the background if you want to liven it up!
