    This is genius. I just did a couple of big long ball garland, and now that I have watched this I am taking them all apart. And doing them this method. I already did a small part for one of my pine garlands and it looks so good. And a lot less ornaments. Thank you so much for sharing. I am now a subscriber and I will watch other videos that you have❤

    Every video I watch the owner is upset or hurt because some idiot said something critical and rude. These people do this on purpose to upset others. Both men and women on farms, saving dogs, cooking and crafts have been criticized. Don’t even acknowledge them. You do a great job. This is my first time watching you. We go to these Sites for information. If they don’t need it fast forward. You do a great job.

    The interesting part of the video is around minute 15:00
    I did the same mistake first while trying to do a cluster😂, so happy you showed it how not to do it and then how it works easily 👍😻

    I would love to see how the first strand looks when placed into a xmas tree. Ive been battling making one of these garlands using chenille wires which have to be covered with green florist tape......I've now given up...too hard. Im going to try your version instead. Im wondering if I put them into a tree how they would come out....would all that wire get twisted up etc or would it remove easily. Also wondering how to store them without the wire twisting and they all end up like xmas tree lights....LOL. thanks. Watching from Australia.

      hi there! I haven't actually wrapped them around a tree. Last year I did put them on a big conduit which I wrapped around a tree which worked well. That might be my suggestion rather than wrapping the wire around the tree branches which would definitely get twisted and need to be cut off. I actually cut them all apart each year and store them in bins. You can always come find me on instagram and send me a pic/ask questions. Thanks for watching!

    I am so happy I found your video. I had made a list of family members that past away and wanted to do a memorial Christmas tree. I thought of doing a garland with the balls and was not sure how to go about it. Since I had 32 names I did not want them to just hang and get lost so the wire was brilliant. Is it jewelry wire? I ask since you said the garland gets heavy. I saw the one you have posted and went with that one to start off. Thank you. Again, I am happy to have found your video.

    • @Sullivan_Owen

      HI there, I use 28 gauge silver wire-either sold as florist wire or jewelry wire but you can use green if you want it to blend more for the tree. I love the idea of a memorial tree and I'm sure it will be beautiful. If you're using glass ornaments, a heavier wire might help or check out the tree garland video (I put a link on this video) you might just wire each one to the branches but put them close together so they look like one garland. Happy holidays!

    Just found you & Luv your style! Does the cap on the Vickerman ornament stay on and/or the caps secured w glue? Will be following you for more practical & sensible ideas. TY!

    • @Sullivan_Owen
      @Sullivan_Owen  2 года назад +1

      the larger sizes of the Vickerman ornaments are drilled through and wired which I really like as I use that hole to secure them. The smaller ones are glued and will pop off with alot of stress but I tend to work large to small so they haven't been an issue for me. Thanks so much for watching and following, I'm busy stringing ornaments for this year's project 😃

    I live that you talk and explain everything but OMG You didn’t show the finished look

    • @Sullivan_Owen
      @Sullivan_Owen  2 года назад +1

      yes I did, see the completed holiday projects to see what I do with them. I make a small section for the demo, I use these ornaments in huge installations outside my home. I’m not comfortable filming in my house and so I shared how I work with the materials and later when I’ve finished the outdoors I show the completed work. Unlike a lot of channels I’d rather show you what I do so you can make up your own instead of duplicating something I’ve come up with.

    • @Sullivan_Owen
      @Sullivan_Owen  2 года назад

      i usually work on 5 ft sections but it depends on what you’re doing with it when done and of course how many ornaments you have.

    Very nicely done! The ornaments in the intro and ending...where are they from? Love, love how you do it! Makes it so much more controllable and with electrical conduit..perfect! Waiting to see how you get it on the wall, because you are so creative.

      hi Anne! all my ornaments are from Vickerman, including the clear and all the pinks/pastels. I got sidelined by a cold but I'm better now and headed into 4 days of finishing up all the holiday work! thank you!!
