Always reminded me of each other.
Its crazy how stories end up so skewed from the truth. Natina was family and its sad to see how her life and death are being depicted. For clarity, Natina loved life, her son and her family and she wouldn't do anything that would take her away from her son. She was very spiritual, playful and as stated, loved music. She didn't live in a motel. She was actually one of the most down to earth artists I knew. The night of her death, she chose to walk to the gas station located across from her town home. She was crossing Lawrenceville hwy, which is a 5 lane street (middle lane was the turning lane) where she lived, she was on the phone and all we know is she was hit. The person on the other end heard everything. The problem with the scenario and the problem her parents had was that the driver that hit her did not stop, they went home and came back with someone else. By then Tina was gone. Had the girl of tried to help immediately Tina might be here. But of course they closed the case and gave her parents no resolve. I am only saying all of this because it hurts me to watch stories about her life and death that shows her in the wrong light. She was actually excited about life, she was working on a couple of reality projects and was trying to restart her career. RIH Tina... Love you girl 💛

Sad story all around. She died exactly ten years after Left Eye due to a car accident. Her sister would be found dead as well in her home. The whole story is still mysterious.

I met Natina and Lefteye's brother in the 90's after performing in a talent show in Atlanta, they came to my house to scout me! it's crazy to say that, I was the second member they found to be in the group "blaque" but unfortunately the timing didn't work out for me and I never joined the group, a few years later I saw the group formed and thought OMG that could of been me! Anyway I believe now everything is for a reason and I have no regrets but I must say she was very talented and dearly missed this was a complete tragedy 💔

When I met Natina here in Hawai’i during an autograph signing, she was so nice to me. We talked for a few minutes, and she asked me if I was going to their concert at the Marine base. I said yeah and she told me, “I’m going find you and bring you on stage to dance.” I can’t dance to save my life, but she did find me then tried to bring me on stage. There was a big tall guy that burned my arm (that she was holding) and I pulled my arm away because of the pain. I still have her autograph stored away. This is so tragic to what had happened to her. She’s such an amazing person.

For the longest, I had thought Left-Eye and Natina were Sisters. They looked alike to me and their bond and relationship was so sincere and genuine like Sisters.
Back in 90s. "Girl Groups" was dominating the radio. Groups like "3LW", "Nuttin' Nyce", "Brownstone", "TLC", Total" & "Mokenstef" is what you.heard every day & night on the radio, the clubs, out ya' man's whip, even most requested video on Ralph McDaniels "Video Music Box". If you lived during the 90s, we was blessed to witness "Black Girl Group Greatness" at there best....

@@trence5 when TLC went on hiatus from 2000 to 2002, Destiny's Child filled that void. They took full advantage of the fact that TLC was on break from Tboz getting married and having a baby, Lisa being in Honduras and going solo, and Chilli acting. Blaque was on hiatus as well. So DC kept working the hell outta that Writings on the wall album all of the year 2000 going into the 1st quarter of 2001. Off that 1 album. Performing any and every where. Then when they became a trio and the Charlie's angels movie came out and they had Independent women stay at #1 for 11 weeks, everything really changed. Their survivor album debuted at #1 and they began dominating the charts and TV and they had Barbie dolls, target commercials, at&t commercials, 1800 collect commercials, candies ads, they were everywhere. And TLC still was on hiatus. The only reason tlc started to work on the 4th album was because LA Reid called chilli personally and teasingly but truthfully informed her that Beyoncé was going around in interviews referring to Destiny's Child as the best selling American girl group of all time. Which is TLC's title but Destiny's Child was beginning to rival them in terms of commercial success. Chilli was working on a solo album at the time but stopped everything and convinced Tionne and Lisa to "do it one more time" . And they all agreed. Everything was going as scheduled till Tionne had a real bad sickle cell crisis that halted the album cuz she was hospitalized for 3 months. That's when Lisa went over to Honduras... For the last time. Anyways make a loooooong story short, DC3 had sooooo much time to truly fill that void of tlc being on the radio. Yes tlc is 2 singers and a rapper. But in general as far a dominating black female Music group, tlc was Mia so dc3 took full advantage and was able to get more successful.

Aww this is so sad. I didn’t even know that she had passed. I think once Lisa Lopez passed she never recovered from that. She took that extremely hard .It’s hard losing someone that was close to you, it’s like a little piece gets took from you. I pray Natina family gets more answers. RIP Natina 🙏🏾😢🕊

My daughter was killed in south Carolina she was 32 she was my only child up until this very day I still don't have the answers to her death..no one helped me they kept everything from me her personal items was taken too. She was killed in her car as well her car ended up in a deep wooded area.. She was born October 26th and was killed in November just looking at this story and seeing how this story is so similar I'm hoping and praying that I get justice and I hope they find out about Marina as well it's a very hard struggle not knowing what happened to your only child..

When I was a kid I had the biggest crush on Natina. I remember being sick at the time of her death, but nothing was gonna stop me from attending her funeral. She was the epitome of energy in the group and attending really took a toll on me, even to this day. I really miss her 😢

Everytime I read about how she lost her life, so many things pop up in my head at once. Alot of unanswered questions and it just look scary to walk on that highway. I've always wondered, was she in the car with somebody, then something like a argument popped off, and she got put out. Cuz Ain't no way she just told herself..ight ima walk in a dark dangerous area. RIP Beautiful Sister Natina Reed. It's disheartening to hear this story, yet there are many lessons to learn from this sister's life. She was very easy on the eyes. I would've preferred that she had remained a writer and became a producer. I believe that she was very talented. However, that industry only grinds people up. I'm wondering why her parents didn't ask her to return home so she can get back on her feet. That picture of her smiling by that motel made me pity her even more. In spite of her despair, she still presented a smile. Then, after her demise, now her parents want to conduct a press conference? The take away from this story for me is: to keep my children close to me and at least know who and what they're doing. Don't raise them for 18 years and throw them to the wolves.

I came across a documentary this evening about Blaque (randomly) and it did mention that Natina had passed. I am in shock I can't believe it happened 10 years ago and I'm only just hearing about it. I did wonder why I never heard anymore music from them. They were soo good and I loved their music.
From hearing the part where she wanted to turn to God more and all that demonic stuff she talked about it wouldn't surprise me if she was intentionally killed off.

Wow! This is beyond sad. I never knew this story until recently. Why is it that many celebrities who, for the most part had a good child hood, was smart, talented, creative and beautiful always end up in tabloids for doing drugs and prostitution? Then they end up dead? It just doesn't make sense to me, I don't believe this young smart, beautiful talented lady was just walking on the freeway one night bcus she decided to take a stroll on a freeway.
