Sometimes if I go to bed when I'm in a particularly disturbed or anxious mood, RIGHT as I'm about to fall asleep I get these sounds in only one of my ears. Usually it's a loud sound like a knock on a door, I've had windy noises that sometimes sound like whispers, and just crashing sounds like something's been knocked over.
It's pretty normal to have those kinds of hallucinations when falling asleep. I once heard my name being aggressively whispered while falling asleep.

The most creepy thing is knocking sounds on the door while the door is open and nobody is there and the door is visibly moving due to the knocking. This happens sometimes in my house. Once I closed the door, it started knocking harder faster and then I knocked back and it went fucking crazy. I open it and it stops.

There’s a lot of different things that can beep ex: smoke detectors, Carbon monoxide detectors, water heaters, security systems, and pretty much anything that is supposed to have long term battery life although I like to think it’s Schwartz punishment from god for saying chewy chips ahoy aren’t good

i like that people are telling scary stories in the comment so i have one too. this was like a couple months ago and i was sitting in my room watching like sam and colby or some horror vids . As im watching the video i hear my door open so i look up and see a little shadow figure peek in and say “come here” and then it peeks out the door. Now im not scared at this point or even think this is something to be scared of because the shadow i saw looked like my little sister so i just assumed it was her because she was in another room of our house. So i get up and start looking around wondering what she wanted me to follow her for and i find my sister and ask “whyd you tell me to follow you?” She looks at me all confused and goes “i never told you to follow me ive been trying to watch tv this whole time” So now im like thinking shes joking and keep telling her that i definitely heard and saw her. The more times i ask the more she gets confused so now im like realizing what i saw. I saw a full shadow that was my sisters height and it literally told me to “come here” like trying to get me to follow it. I still get weirded out telling that story since i have to remember the shadow i saw and it wanting me to follow it. Every now and then ill get creeped out because i told my mom this story when she got home and she said shes been hearing whispering from what sounds like children and i saw a child figure. i hate living in this house sometimes 💀
I have a few freaky stories from my life. (Feel free to ask questions btw)
1. The house I grew up in was built in 1770. As a kid, I just kinda knew that there was a little girl in our house. She’d play hide and seek (giggle from behind a bed and when someone would look over the bed, there would be nothing), she’d knock, she’d whisper in your ear “I’m here” and knock my pop vinyls over every night because I guess she didn’t like them lmao. Anyway, I wasn’t the only person to experience this stuff. Every friend I ever brought over always at least said “this place is creepy” and some friends even saw the little girl as an apparition.
2. I was going to stay at my Aunt’s boyfriend’s condo in Florida with my mom and my Aunt. I was 12 at the time and I was super excited. The second I stepped in the door, I got a HORRIBLE feeling. Like indescribable. I physically couldn’t sleep for days. Eventually my Mom asked me what was going on and I said “I feel like someone died here.” My mom tried to reassure me and said “oh no one died here” but then my Aunt overheard us and said “Oh yeah, someone actually died here of a drug overdose 20 years ago.” lol.
3. I was doing a college semester in Hawaii and It was 8-ish am. Everyone was asleep. I jolted awake and my first thought was “earthquake.” 3 seconds or so after, a 6.3 magnitude earthquake rocked our building.
4. Going back to the house I grew up in, in our basement (which had like, big ass boulders for walls and a ton of crawl spaces) my dad had a speaker and electric guitar set up. I used to hang out down there with him on late nights where I couldn’t sleep. Often, I’d feel like someone was watching me. Not like in the “oh I’m in a basement oo spooky” kinda way but like legit starred at. It was always coming from the same crawl space. Well turns out someone died down there. Only learned that AFTER I moved out lol.
5. When I first went to boarding school, I was touring around and I pointed to a little building in between two other buildings and said that it had “bad vibes.” Not like sinister like the condo from #2, but just weird “you’re on stage doing a speech” vibes that I couldn’t shake. Well, that was actually one of the oldest buildings on campus and the building one of the old headmasters died in. (Totally re-done btw. It looked newer than some of the other buildings.)
6. At my cousin’s lake house, (a house that’s been passed from generation to generation for around a century) me and a bunch of cousins were hanging out in the kitchen. Someone stood up from the table and left to our right. A second later we realized that we were all still sitting at the table and nobody had left. Yet we all saw someone get up and leave in the same direction, from the same spot.
7. (Probably the freakiest)
So this one I don’t actually remember (and you’ll see why) and I’m just going off of what my family has told me. So when I lived at my old house, a very weird thing happened fairly often. I would fall asleep and then (based off what my family and friends have told me) I would lean up out of bed “vampire style” and look around with my eyes wide open. If I was interacted with, I wouldn’t respond. I would walk around our house and touch things like I “hadn’t seen it in a long time.” I would stare at people and I could even go down stairs. After waking up, I would always be extremely confused but I also thought it was kinda funny. After moving out, this doesn’t happen anymore at all. This is probably the freakiest story for me as, even if I was sleep walking, that’s freaky asf lmao
I definitely have more stories but I genuinely can’t think of them rn. I’ll edit this post as I remember more.
Edit: Just an fyi I thought I’d throw out here, ik there are a lot of fake “ghost stories” out there and all so I j wanna say I’ve been completely deadass with each of these stories and I genuinely don’t have any explanations for them. I’m not saying there aren’t logical explanations, but each of these is just me living my life and encountering freaky shit for whatever reason lol

I once kinda "defined" my paralisis sleep demon or whatever that was cause i do velieve on souls and that kinda stuff. It was this dark silhouette with a gaze like it had seen hell, red eyes injected in yellow pupils. He stood by my bedside often putting his face close to mine. I remember cause it happened a few times. One day of september on 2019 I remember I was about to go to school and kinda felt sleep y you know this kinda like snooze you got from walking up early for school. Then I saw it really close to me. Somehow my body "dropped" in his direction and I just phased him and it vanished like ash. Never happened again. Dont know why and neither what it was, but it do happened. Soz for the long testament.

Idk if it was sleep paralysis or lack of sleep bc I have a hard time falling asleep but I was up all night watching shit on youtube I was laying down with my phone vertically on my chest and I noticed off the side of my phone a person and I moved my phone and my dad was at the foot of my bed It startled me and I was kinda like "wtf are you doing" and he was a greenish color and he said some shit that I can't picture him saying to me "lookie what we have heeeeeere" and I covered my eyes with a blanket and looked a few seconds later it was gone and I got up my mom was awake and I asked if my dad was asleep she said yeah but why were you stomping around in your room a couple hours ago but I never was I was laying in my bed for the past 5 or 6 hours trying to go to sleep and I never heard any stomping so idk if it was sleep paralysis or what cause I wasn't sleeping I was kinda yawning getting ready to fall asleep

The creppiest thing that happened to me was when 3 child sized hand marks made out of filth appeared on my bedroom's wall overnight, I know it wasn't there because its right next to my monitor, so when it appeared I noticed instantly.
This has happened many times in my home, I've had to paint over it, there was one on my cieling in a place where there would be no reason to touch there, have u ever figured out what it was?

I am an audio listener and when I was listening to the podcast I had heard about the drawings I went onto RUclips to track a clip down and this popped up on my main page and I tapped on it I’m looking at it and I’m just like *”heck naw. Get outta there Ted”*
I remember I had a dream where I was in the dark forest, like slenederman type thing. I was venturing through the woods and I've seen deer-like creature which was very skinny and humanoid looking, with claws bigger than my entire body. The "Thing" started running towards me without a sound and got my arm scratched when I was trying to run. The last thing I heard before I woke up was "You'll never escape" whispered behind my back. Then I woke up and thought to myself "huh, crazy one" and went to get some cereal, and then noticed a scratch mark that I haven't gotten day before the dream. Crazy stuff lol.
Better hope that nightmare doesn’t repeat.

So I've seen *a lot* of weird shit in my short time on this earth. But the one that has scared me the most happened when I was 15.
I had gone to sleep that night in the bedroom I shared with my younger brother. That night I had a dream that I was wandering a graveyard late at night that was covered in fog, and suddenly I heard a sound from behind me. A massive, massive, back dog with glowing red eyes was standing there growling. Before I could react, it pounced on me and began to tear me to shreds. Normally when you die in a dream you just wake up. Not here. I got to watch in third person as I was mauled. Once I was thoroughly shredded, then did I finally wake up. Only to find the door to my room open and the light to the bathroom across the hall off. I had closed the door, and my brother was afraid of the dark, so that light stayed on so it could seep under the door. I didn't go back to sleep that night, as I could swear I heard something walking just outside my room.
A week later, my sister tells me that she had a really bad nightmare about a shadow man with glowing red eyes tearing her to shreds, and that she had to watch it happen. Days after that she said she saw it outside the house.
Two years later I had moved into one of the newly renovated rooms in the basement (The oldest child finally gets room to herself lol). Early in the morning I got up to go eat breakfast, only to find that at the end of the hall that led upstairs was a shadow figure with glowing red eyes so tall that it had to bend its head to the stand up straight. The hallway light flicked as I stood there. I could just feel that it was smiling at me. Then I blinked and it was gone.
Never saw it again.
Either this is some really elaborate prank to scare you all half to death, or you've got just an actual demon in your house. So good luck with that either way!
I was watching Zack and Cody around 3 am in the living room as a child when I suddenly sense a presence staring at me from the dark doorway to my right so I turned to check but didn't see anything & simply thought to myself, "must be my imagination". As I'm thinking to myself I see this shadowy figure pop it's head over the corner so I quickly turned and locked my eyes onto this thing but as I'm staring it quickly ducks back in a "oh shit!" manner so my fight or flight instincts kick in prompting me to rush the dark doorway, turn on the light, unlock and open the door only to find nothing there anymore.
I told my older brother about my paranormal and sleep paralysis experiences a couple years later and on that same night of explanation my brother happened to have sleep paralysis where he witnessed a shadowy figure of me with red glowing eyes standing over and starring at me as I slept .
That is actually terrifying

I think it either has gotten wet ot somethings chewing the wires cause the alarm is meant to stay on until you either turn it off wherever the air handler is or until it floods or burns down. So if i was schlatt i would get it checked

I agree my dude. Isn't he in Texas? His unit likely creates excessive condensation (especially if he has spray foam insulation without a dehumidifier) and it's having trouble draining (clogged plumbing is common). Excess moisture can rust the wiring as well, which can result in fire hazards. Hopefully he reads you comment and hits up an HVAC professional.
I was about to say that it's some sort of alarm located up in the attic or something like that. I've heard of a family experiencing a similar issue, and it turned out to be a defective fire alarm in the attic that they had zero idea about.
I swear... I live in a house that i consider haunted and ive seen and experienced a lot of shit in my house for the entire 20 years ive lived here. I like to tie two and two together and try to find and explanation for things i have experienced. There has been 1 event that put the fear of god into me and i can't find an explanation to it. it happened maybe 11 years ago.
Ok my hallway is about 15 feet long and at the bottom of my stairs we had a large butchers style chest freezer. I dont know why we had it but it was in the hall cause the kitchen was too small. The freezer was on the other side of the hall opposite the porch door.
We had bought a 12 pack of Coca-Cola cans and put them on the freezer lid and we went to bad later that night without disturbing them.
Around 2 in the morning we wake up to a DISGUSTINGLY loud bang followed by a smaller bang. My dad went down to check followed by me and i shit you not, This entire 12 pack of Coca-Cola cans flew 15 feet across the hall and slammed into the door and fell onto the floor.
We looked for every explanation from them falling weird and rolling 15 feet to the door or a can exploding or something and it forcing them off the freezer. Not a can was popped. There were a few dents but no leaks.
To this day i cannot at all think of a logical explanation for why those cans flew other than a ripped ass poltergeist.

I was on the phone with one of my friends while he was driving at night, couple nights ago. all of a sudden i hear a ROAR and hes audibly freaking out and maxing the cars limiter trying to get away. He drew up roughly what he saw and it was eerily similar to a skinwalker but with a rhinos head. Talked to a native friend of mine and he says the older ones can manipulate into larger creature bodies and often no one knows their name anymore, so the only thing to do is just get away from its hunting grounds. The area he saw the thing in also has a history of missing people and often the only evidence is large claw markings and the missings blood
Ted passed through timelines the morning his partner had the dream, and the drawings are from his alternate reality where he had kids with his partner and the timeline has bled through.

My brother use to experience a lot of paranormal things at our first house. Him and his friends would see shadows or hear walking or objects would move and clank. He would have bad dreams about demons and shadow figures a lot. He once had a dream that a demon was trying to drag him away and he woke up with scratches on his back, he even went to the doctor for treatment. He was very very angry all the time and was very mean to me, physically and mentally, he was also mean to my mother, just an all around angry person. Nothing happened to me though, except for one time.
It was my brothers birthday and me, him, and his friends were playing Hide n' go seek in the pitch black darkness inside the house. I was hiding on the couch with one of his friends when we both heard a deep angry growl. We alerted everyone and turned all the lights on because it freaked us TF out. While the lights were on and we were talking about what happened, a curtain floated slowly up and touched the roof before dropping down. We all ran to my moms room to tell her what happened but like every parent, she didn't believe us. We ended up locking all of us in my brothers room. The rest of the night we heard light scratches and shuffling outside the door. We ended staying up all night because we couldn't sleep.
I honestly feel like that house was haunted and something was attached to my brother. We didn't have an actual relationship until my mom moved out. The moment they left that house he was a completely different person. He was nice, loving, and happy. After 18 years. We finally had a relationship.
one more thing, The people that moved into that house after us became its next target. My neighbor told me that a year or so after they moved in, the wife went into the backyard and shot herself in the head. I know for a fact that had we stayed there, something could've happened to us.
Been in a house like that, or rather a hotel in texas, I always see things but audio things don’t usually happen at my house. Ever since going to that hotel and experiencing odd noises and scratching and stuff, my paranoia has skyrocketed. I often hear loud quick aggressive whispers usually just one random word. I often see something out of the corner of my eye or in a distant window but upon further inspection nothing is there. I constantly hear footsteps or creaking, the sounds of opening doors or even watch my trash can lid lift itself open and then close. The supernatural is scary, and yet nice. I commune with spirits and the main one in my home is but a trickster who means no harm. A second darker spirit lurks sometimes but seems to not have any interest in me.

Hey, idk if it’s common knowledge, but anyone can always request an exorcism of their home from if they feel something malevolent or unsafe in their house from a local Catholic or Eastern Orthodox church. You don’t have to be a member to ask for one, just respectful of their practice. It’s not batshit intense like the movies but it is a real thing and also usually for houses lmao.
Both times my family has had them, it was polite to buy the priest a beer or two - but it’s like a rite for both faiths, which is why it’s something anyone can ask for one. I’m agnostic and still considered asking when 3/4 roommates experienced stuff that freaked us out.
The whole “expel demons” has to have some basis in the real world I guess. Idk about other faiths, but my mom’s official rating of exorcisms is that the Eastern Orthodox priests do it better.
Schlatt has got to be one of the greatest method-actors of our generation, with how he can commit himself to a bit without breaking character.
Only thing that makes that noise louder than a smoke alarm in my experience is a Carobon Monoxide Detector being low on battery

I had a little bit of a spook last night after moving somebody's furniture out of their place who had presumably died recently.
I came back home having not considered that this person may have died and took a shower.
My bathroom is pretty small, the door opens into the backroom towards the shower. So you can close and open the bathroom door if you reach through the shower curtain far enough.
Outside of the bathroom is the laundry room, where my mom was at this time, while I was in the shower.
I was about to get out of the shower, so I tried to push the door closed so I could get out without anyone seeing me. The door didn't close all the way and actually started being pushed back towards me as I tried pushing it the opposite direction.
I had assumed that my mom had pushed it back open for some reason while I was clearly trying to close it, so I asked, "Why did you push the door back?"
She said "I didn't." Them I said "whatever" because I didn't believe her, then I actually closed it.
A few hours later she asked me why I had asked her if she had closed the door and I told her, and she said she didn't do that.
It was then that I realized how weird that was. The only thing I can reasonably see that could have happened is a towl on the floor may have gotten stuck under the door so I couldn't close it all the way, or the shower curtain somehow got attached the the door knob, pulling it back when I pushed it.
i feel ya with the the children whispering, i once went to this haunted school in ohio (Its Ohio, and it was my first trip, thanks grandpa XD) and immediately was like, nope, cant do this. and ontop of that there was a room full of dolls. I have never wanted to stay away from ohio so badly before.
when I was 5 up until about 7 I had the same dream every night of a man standing at the end of my bed with half his face hanging down like loose fabric. 11 years later and I still have no idea what would've prompted visuals like that.
I just noticed a thumb tack stuck in my porch door in my new apartment after two and a half months of opening it everyday, yet somehow didn’t notice it until now. I’m not completely convinced it was there when I moved in.
For schlatt’s alarm problem, my family was experiencing the same thing. It was the center console for the carbon monoxide detector’s battery that needed replacing. Newer house in the south as well.

When I first moved in to my house, both my girlfriend and I heard a very loud woman’s voice right at the end of our bed, but we were both half asleep so we didn’t catch what she said unfortunately. Full volume and clear as could be. I went straight for the knife by my bed and cleared the whole house right then and there, nothing to be found. Shook both of us right to the core
That’s the only truly noteworthy story thank goodness, the activity dropped off very soon after that, and it’s been about 4 years now
It’s weird that everyone hears this sound but something similar happens with my family. It’s only happened about three times but right before I fall asleep, a loud scream will happen for a second and jolts me awake. The same thing has happened to my aunt, except it sounds like a gunshot. I think I have heard about this from other people, some sort of phenomenon that happens I guess…

This is actually a auditory hallucination known as explosive head syndrome or some shit, but its able to be experienced by ANY one at ANY time.

I worked with both of these and it sounds like either of these could be faulty or there's something inside the main board causing an occasional contact to trigger (like some kind of slug, which yes, are the most common, or some insect or rat that found his way through some tube and caused a contact for a bit) that caused the siren to trigger
could also be some special setting in the intrusion alarm

Not paranormal but while I was watching this video my door just opened and it is 2:29 am but turns out the window In The bathroom wich is across the from my room was open and the bathroom door was open and the wind was really strong then it pushed my door open then I sat there for a good minute just staring at my door before I decided to comment this

Sometimes at my apartment complex there is this high pitched ringing sound coming from the forest. I've heard it several times and during a potluck several of my neighbors confirmed that they heard it to, one said that they had also been hearing it. We still don't know what it is.
One time at my in-laws my wife and I heard a deep growl behind us and we couldn't for the life of us figure out where it came from, there was nothing but the bannister and empty stairwell behind us.
So two times in my life this same thing has happened
We would wake up to someone ringing our doorbell and knocking on our door, our front door that is, keep in mind this was like 12-3 at night, and every time we went to the door to see who it was no one would be there, cuz if it was someone doing a ding dong ditch, we would’ve been able to see them running down the street or running off our front porch. And to this day we have never been able to figure it out.

My water softener has an alarm that goes off at 3am. I didnt know this when I moved here and when it would happen I would wake up and wonder around to find it and never could. Took me like a year to find out what it was.

The scariest thing that ever happened to me at home was when my family installed wooden floor boards for the first time and when I went to get water in the middle of the night the boards would creak and parts of the board where you weren't standing on would also creak and that scared the shit out of me because I thought someone was there

Spooky experience 1: Laying in bed (loft bed, idk how to spell it lol) my closet door is open. It is almost pitch black in my room, other than the light from my phone. I look over at closet, red eyes, staring. I shine my phones flashlight at the closet, nothing there. I go back to watching youtube. I look over at closet like, 20 minutes later. Red eyes are there again. I shine my phones flashlight at the closet again, figure doesn't disappear. Big, black mass with human like red eyes, and spider like limbs, standing at, atleast 7 ft. tall. I couldn't take my eyes off of it, I was a mixture of scared, and curious. Curious because I wanted to know what it was. Then I realized I couldn't move, my hand was stuck in the position of shining the light towards the closed. I saw it walk towards me, it stopped at the edge of the bed. It just stared. It were examining me, seeing what I was, then it left.
Spooky experience 2: I walked by the room with the TV in it (I call it the den) I see a tall, black figure standing at the back of the den. I stared at it for a good few seconds. It slowly started walking towards me, it froze. The entity I talked about in Spooky experience 1, I saw it's spider like limb, reach out from behind something. I walked over to it, god knows why, and nothing was there. I looked back at the back of the den, the tall black figure was gone. Spooky experience 2 was right after Halloween, so i might have been high of sugar for that one lol.
That's about it, I might update if I have another spooky experience. Yes, I still see the spider/human/demon thing sometimes, I'm not scared of it though, it may be friendly. I have not seen the tall black entity again though.
Okay so in a house we rented a while back, we had one of those really old fire alarms.. We couldn't get it down cause it was bolted to the ceiling- and one day it just started SHREIKING No fire, definitely wasn't even the alarm sound for a fire, and kinda sounded like if you smacked a furby too hard and it got all distorted from being broken. So I wouldn't rule out the fire alarm thing, could be that it's just REALLY low on batteries and is getting kinda funky.

This is crazy, I had the exact same dream as the girlfriend 5 years ago, I was trying to sleep but I was hearing child screaming and crying, I moved and moved trying to sleep to no avail, so I got up to try and get to my mom and sleep with her, thing is the door wouldn’t open and there was a black mass in de corner of the room next to the door, at this moment I try desperately to move and open the door, then the black mass the darts trough the room at high speed and the voices of screaming a crying children gets louder and louder, just as I was going to give up the door opens and I wake up in my bed in fetal position, it’s the only time it happened to me and I don’t think that much about, but maybe there is more to it

I had a pretty weird experience in the house I currently live in, one day I woke up in the middle of the night cus of a sound it was my cat wanting out of my room so I let him out and go back to bed, then I wake up the next day and there is a blood spot on my wall which confused me cus I thought I somehow got red paint on the wall but nope it was blood don't know how or why it appeared but I haven't had anything else ever happen so I think it's just a very weird event
