He is one of the best entertainers and singers, not just country, ever. I bought all of his albums up until Sevens. I enjoyed each of those albums in their entirety. I've heard the criticism over the years of his Chris Gaines album, but I think it's a great album with some great songs.
I love the Chris Gaines album as well...as a matter of fact I must have gone through like 5 or 6 copies of that CD over the years, I listen to that one that much. I have every one of his albums, and I've had the ABSOLUTE pleasure to have seen him in concert 8 and a half time, and I'm going to see him again in Edmonton, AB later this year.
I absolutely love the intended message behind this song but I have always always said “BUT sometimes the answer is no. Not that it’s unanswered.” I smiled so big hearing you say the same thing.
There’s no better compliment for an artist than having their music sung back to them. I have friends who are seeing Garth in Pittsburgh tonight. They’ve been friends with him since the very beginning. They’ve been to so many shows and he’s so Humble.
This actually happened to me. My boyfriend had dumped me for my best friend.(ending that friendship) I prayed & prayed for him to want to be with me. He actually married that friend. When this song came out, it brought a flood of emotions. I ran into him at the grocery store. His hair shaggy & greasy. He had always been so clean cut. His eyes were blood shot, he wreaked of alcohol, and he was carrying a case of beer. I had been married to my husband for about 10 years. I hadn't always appreciated him like I should. He was(is) a good man. Doesn't drink or smoke. Home every single day, directly from work. An AMAZING Daddy for our girls. And Grandpa to six. This song made me ashamed and grateful at the same time. Changed my whole outlook. 35 years and still happy & strong. And I do thank God every single day, for unanswered prayers. The "friend" is still married. Both are miserable. One sits in family room with her wine cooler, and the other, in the living room, with a beer. But they stay together because neither could afford the fancy house they live in. So sad. While
My prayer went unanswered until 2 years ago when I had brain surgery to remove a lesion on my brain. I realized that God hadn't healed me so I could help others with my testimony.

It was reported last week that Garth played a concert in Baton Rouge, LA and when he was going to walk out on the stage at Tiger Stadium with 102,321 fan's and they started playing the fiddle intro far Calling Baton Rouge the fan's started stomping their feet clapping their hands and it registered as a small earthquake on the local instruments. Now that's what it's like at a Garth Brooks concert I love Garth Brooks and all of his music
I really love this song as it teaches us a valuable lesson, and says it just right so everyone understands, as we’ve all dealt with this at times…. Unanswered prayers, which here we realize that God knows what’s best for us, even before we do, so it goes back to how we should pray for God’s will rather than our own will, and when we praying for our own will, when it’s not right for us, God know what is.
We shall be free is one of my favorites and is soooo underrated. There is a music video that is incredible. You can watch it as part of a half time show. He refused to preform if the video wasn’t included because it is so powerful. If you can’t get that to be unblocked, You can watch him sing it to Elmo on Sesame Street trying to get the message of how to make the world a better place.
Spent May 7 at Notre Dame watching Garth Brooks and 80,000 people sing. My 11 year old granddaughter was amazed at how many people were there and that everyone sang along to every song, for 2&1/2 hours, no one entertains like Garth Brooks.
There is no greater fan of their fans, than Garth Brooks. He is not perfect, but his intentions are to do the right thing, and if it isn't he learns to be better. I live in his hometown. When he comes, it's not for a night, he may do a show Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. He wants everyone who wants to come, to be able to. He will not overpriced his general admission tickets. $40. He sells out so fast, he will just add another day to be here... ❤️him.

Tasha, I’ve been blessed to attend to Garth’s concerts. The emotions in the arena with him are amazing! He loves his fans and he really becomes more pumped Up as he hears his fans sing every word to each of his songs. I love all of his songs and owns all of the box sets of his music. I'm a mom of 5 boys, it hasn't been an easy road and it's only by the grace of God that a couple of my son's are still on this earth with us. I've done so much praying for God not to take any of my boys from me in the 31 years I've been a mom and through the medical issues/ chronic illnesses and my oldest addiction ( now clean for over a year) God has allowed me to continue to keep them. I am so blessed!! I LOVE my babies so much. This song means the world to me!! Fantastic performer and he insisted his double live album and concert tour ticket prices were $20 so that all of his fans could afford to go.

I thought this song was lyrical genius, but I didn't know Garth wrote it with another artist named Pat Alger. But cooler than that, Garth gave song writing credit to a fellow named Larry Bastian whose contribution was only the hook, i.e., God's greatest gift is unanswered prayers. Class move.
The best live Concerts that I've been to..Mrs. Whitney Houston and Garth Brooks. I saw Whitney in the late 80's and Garth Twice! Once in Cincinnati and at the Central Park concert in 97! Almost a million people attended the Central Park Concert. It was good crazy!! The absolute worst and most expensive Concert! I took an ex to see Bruce Springsteen! He went on a 20 minute political rant!! Many people were pissed! Most go to a Concert to have fun and forget about stuff like politics!

I don’t usually like the audience noise, breaks in songs when artist is interacting with the crowd, etc. great when you’re in the audience, but not to me when listening/watching digitally. And with some-of Garth’s songs, the videos add a whole other meaning.
My favorite Garth song. I don't care much for country music(I'm more of a rock/metal girl) but I went to see Garth with my boyfriend last August and he is a phenomenal performer and sounds just as good live as he does recorded. He puts on a helluva show. I suggest if you get a chance go see him
Tasha, I remember the small bar here in Kansas City, Guitars and Cadillacs, when he first started. Later he was at Arrowhead Stadium for a few nights, there were so many people wanting to see him, he stayed for I believe 13 nights. He also played Baseball for charity with the Royals, good sports. There is the cutest sweetest video of him on (ELLEN ), It was for his Mom, a Mother's Day song (mom) the studio is probably better. He could barely make it through, he cried every time he sang it. It's about a baby about to be born, he's having a conversation with God, scared to go to meet her, and God telling baby what Momma is going to be like. Best song I've ever heard.

What I really love most about him is his is one of the last one to leave, he stays and signs autographs and hang out with people or a young man sang a song to him and he listens with respect or joind in. That can only bring confidence to a person especially since the young man was special needs. That's real heart on both sides.

It was a small show at the Vancouver Airport when Garth was debuting his "Sevens" album, if you remember, Garth did not tour for that album, so he did these little shows, which NO tickets were sold, you had to win them, and there was only 100-150 people in the audience, and Garth would take your questions and do songs from the new album... well, my hubby said to Garth, "Garth, that's a beautiful guitar you're playing tonight"(as it was a Martin, which Garth normally doesn't play a Martin, he was curious as to why he was playing that guitar as opposed to his Takamine he normally plays), Garth then said, "Oh you like it? Do you play?" My hubby told him he did. Then Garth told him, "It's yours." He then proceeded to sign the guitar then he put the guitar in the case and handed it to my hubby. My husband almost passed out. Yes, my hubby STILL has that guitar, and it now has been signed by over 75 artists. Sorry about the HUGE reply, but it's something I'll never forget. Garth is the biggest selling recording artist of all time. Yes Garth - not Elvis or Michael Jackson. His fans worship him and he worships his fans. He is such a great guy, he even retired in his prime to raise his daughters. Now he's back though.

It was a small show at the Vancouver Airport when Garth was debuting his "Sevens" album, if you remember, Garth did not tour for that album, so he did these little shows, which NO tickets were sold, you had to win them, and there was only 100-150 people in the audience, and Garth would take your questions and do songs from the new album... well, my hubby said to Garth, "Garth, that's a beautiful guitar you're playing tonight"(as it was a Martin, which Garth normally doesn't play a Martin, he was curious as to why he was playing that guitar as opposed to his Takamine he normally plays), Garth then said, "Oh you like it? Do you play?" My hubby told him he did. Then Garth told him, "It's yours." He then proceeded to sign the guitar then he put the guitar in the case and handed it to my hubby. My husband almost passed out. Yes, my hubby STILL has that guitar, and it now has been signed by over 75 artists. Sorry about the HUGE reply, but it's something I'll never forget. Garth is the biggest selling recording artist of all time. Yes Garth - not Elvis or Michael Jackson. His fans worship him and he worships his fans. He is such a great guy, he even retired in his prime to raise his daughters. Now he's back though.
