These “jobs” and employers don’t give af about you.
True
Honestly, they shouldn’t. It’s a job, not a family
@@Michael-fi7nu still has to be integrity in business and realism even tho it seems rare … nothing will effect Starbucks as a business or their image because their employee rightfully defends his life
Why should they?
Yeah, but how many times have we heard management say " We're a family." ? 😒 We're all family until 💩 hits the fan.
I drive the city bus. They tell
Us not to engage with unruly passengers…however, if anyone or their possessions or their fluids touch me, I ain’t a bus driver no more…simple as that.
That first caller made no type of sense 🤦🏾♂️
She doesn’t believe what she’s saying
@@ShervierJshe listens to these clowns, of course she believes what she’s saying
The ppl that make these "policies and procedures" never been robbed.
The first caller should get donkey of the day.
Fr Fr 🎯
She really should tf is wrong with people like her? That was ignorant and I am sure she knows it.
Facts 😂
It is people like her that make democracy a joke. How the hell can someone that stupid and act like the race of the person makes a difference.? Why is she allowed to vote being that damn stupid?
Working for Starbucks is a joke. They do not care about employees. My cousin was assaulted multiple times while working there because she wore a hajab. They did nothing to protect her so she finally quit
That's really sad. America has a problem
They didn’t want her wearing a hajab either so they were happy she was being attacked and were happy when she quit. They couldn’t not hire her due to their fake diversity and inclusion policies. She should sue them for not providing a safe workplace.
@@DreamMaker_970I worked with her and all she said was “death to Jews”. 😅
here's a tidbit from an article about this robbery "Starbucks has issued its own response to its decision to fire Harris, stating that employees are expected "to follow our carefully crafted protocols" to ensure the safety of its employees and customers. The chain also stated that employees undergo armed robbery scenarios in their training to avoid doing anything that would escalate the situation. The Washington Examiner has reached out to Starbucks for further comment."
LMAO...stop Starbucks, screw your protocols. If guy gonna try and shoot me, I'm not trying to get shot. Robbers aren't going to listen to you try to deescalate or negotiate.
Exactly
Look up the video of the guy robbing Jimmy Johns, thats what they want you to do. Give it up and step aside. One of the gigs I used to work at a while ago had the same rules. It was basically,
If we get robbed give them what they want, don't argue, pay attention to details about the person, call the police and relay information"
Some people go above and beyond though 😆. Like ole girl who tried to stop a guy and ended up hanging on to his moving vehicle for dear life as he sped off.

I was threatened with termination for chasing after a guy who robbed a woman in a store I use to work at. I quit two weeks later. These franchises are trash, he shouldn't be held liable.
That wasn't your job to chase down the guy
@@Ucantbseriousdawg if your mother was robbed in a store, and an employee could've apprehended the thief, you would be very appreciative. Thats why I stopped working, because I knew no one gave a shit about going the extra mile. My work meant nothing.
The kind of person who says something like that is typically a person who does the bare minimum.
After the first caller, I knew it was gonna be one of those episodes today
She clearly made no sense. She was just somebody wanting to be heard.
For real. She thought she was saying something but truth be told she was making people lose brain cells
If I was Michael, I wouldn’t want to work at Starbucks anymore anyway.
If Michael had drawn his own weapon, he’d be in jail right now. Because he said he knew the gun was fake the threat of death is gone. But, he is justified in preventing additional harm to himself. What, get pistol whipped again with a gun you KNOW is fake? TF?
This the same rules bank have. Let them take the money

This is why I’m glad I have a union.. idk why these minimum wage jobs don’t protect their employees and don’t stand by them in times like these..
Fast food....
@@DaKrawnikThere are fast food unions outside the Us
Union jobs usually aren't at risk of robbery
Because there isn't a union to stand up for these employees. Worst part is that fast food workers have attempted to unionize especially Starbucks and there was union busting tactics.
My first guess would be because of turnover, second would be because fast food workers arent aware of unions. My third reason and this is from experience, getting employees onboard to start a union is hard. I delivered furniture and appliances for the largest home furniture retailer in the midwest as a subcontractor and I asked a few of the older guys that had been there for years why they never started a union. One person felt it wasnt worth it and another said he tried but he couldnt get people onboard. I could go into more detail about the races, political ideologies and financial prospects of the type of people that did this kind of work, but those are simpler answers for you
These people at these Fortune 500 companies are ignoring their PowerPoint presentations "Welcome" slides and making up their own rules as they go along. IJS
First caller is wild lol
😂😂💯
She;s going to have a "HARD" life; No critical thinking.
Starbucks is F'd for this. Per their "carefully crafted policy," an employee would have to allow themselves to be murked in order to be within company compliance.
workplaces care more about policy than anything else
And Starbucks is wondering why a lot of people are boycotting them right now?? 🤨🤔
First of all who the hell robs a Starbucks that’s the real question 🤣🤣
Crack heads or losers begging for change on the streets. If your gonna rob a store let be a bigger store something like Wal Mart,Target,or Old Navy for example. Don't rob the fuckin dollar stores or Five BELOW. Basically I'm saying is don't rob the stores that ain't about shit versus the stores that have top quality shit there. Overall don't rob no stores or nobody at all,but don't be hero also cause the company doesn't give two shots about you.
I stand with the Starbucks employee. How is it these employers have us watch the videos where you have to either run, hide(if no where to run), or fight(if you have no other choice). But then get fired for following protocol.
As a Starbucks customer they owe this compensation he didn't deserve to lose his job!
Doesn't Matter If The Gun Was Fake, He Was Still Assaulted

Pistol whipping someone is assault with a deadly weapon. Starbucks wants him to lay down after getting hit once, and no guarantee he's not going to continue getting assaulted? If this is new York he getting paid. Assaulted employees are not supposed to follow corporate policy.

Donkey of they day should belong to the breakfast club for that Nikki Haley interview
The People’s Court theme song, let’s get it🤣
The quote and then recording from the movie "Set It Off" had me. "What's the f*@king procedure when you have a gun to your head?"
Let me risk my life over a billion dollar company that not making me a billionaire. He is a foolio
The reason why most companies do this is because they don't want to be liable if their employee gets injured on the job and then sues the company. It's happened many times where employees would sue a company for getting hurt while trying to protect the store. This is why you see videos of all these shoplifters stealing and no employees tries to stop them because they dont want to get fired or possibly hurt. A Lot of stores are closing due to shoplifters and vandalizing, especially in the Bay Area like San Francisco and Oakland.
But he was hit first so what was he supposed to do?
This guy got pistol whipped. That's not a minor attack.
Your supposed to give them what they want and not engage the robber. Thats what they train in retail.
I dont even think its about the robbery sometimes and defending a company. We've seen so many videos of people walking into random places and shooting it up for no reason. Dude chose the fight response.
That's crazy
The first caller was way beyond ridiculous. Smh
Give up the money. No company is worth dying for, they will replace you within 2 weeks
As soon as I got out my car I got notification for this y’all on it. 😂😂😂💪🏾
HE SHOULD OF BEEN WORKING AT DUNKIN 😂
They out here doing my people's court joke!!! Ain't that some shit!
Right lmao I feel old I watch court shows every day 😂😂🤦🏾
It opens an establishment up to liability if employees physically engage with people. I’ve seen situations where places have been sued for forcibly removing a physically belligerent customer.
That first girl is a certain kinda special 😅
@6:11 ctg you asked Mac to blow the whistle, you playing them games too😂
Them robbers was looking for them Stanley Cups 😂
They can't force you to allow a person to attack you and not defend yourself. Folks are dull out here.
Yes they can lol all they have to do is allow crime, not enforce robbery and theft laws, and ban you from being able to purchase a weapon to protect yourself and charge you for protecting yourself.
Guess you're supposed to de-escalate the situation while they knockin your head😂😂😂
CtG said Michael is claiming the reason for termination was the breech of protocol, but the official reason was not given. I wanna know the real reason for termination before I pick a side.
Imagine if Mr. Macdough fired Hakeem and Semi, in the movie, Coming to America (1988), after they stopped Samuel L. Jackson’s character, who happened to be a criminal, from robbing them. Smh

So u get fired for defending yourself & the company you work? Waow so all i gotta do is the opposite of that be employee of the month 😅😅
That first caller slow af
Is there insurance set in place for robberies? If so prolly that's why he got fired because now the company couldn't claim the insurance 😂😂
I need to look up a crash course on this insurance stuff. I have seen people over the years now including you say "yea im bout to get paid with insurance" it sounds to good to be true. Is there a loop hole im missing here?
They tell you during interviews and then during training NEVER BE A HERO and they give the same story as this as to why you should NOT!
Love listening to my Unks!
7:50 Caller is just plain ignorant...
lmao @ the mother saying "she told me I was donkey of the day for always getting her to school late" lmao
The first caller.....smfh... How?
The real DOTD is the legal system. This allows the robbers or the employees to sue the company for getting hurt on their property. Thus, the companies have policies that says nobody can do that so we don't have to pay anybody. That's the loop we're in. 💯
I haven’t been to Starbucks in a year because the drinks are inconsistent and I don’t plan on going back. Dunkin has been my place.
Technically he was trying to comply, but the register wouldn't open. 🤷🏾♂️

This was a GREEAAT episode!!!😂😂🌟🌟
I don't care what the situation is, the public will go against the company.
The starbucks employee should have been rewarded instead of fired. It lets you know that these companies don't appreciate their employees. It's sad bruh
This guy is like a robot just reads what they tell him what to say. He’s not even using his own brain.
Starbucks gets donkey, one is really bad PR and two he’s probably gonna turn around and sue them for wrongful termination
