I've seen superbirds that didn't look like superbirds - but that was because they were likely purchased for pennies by people when dealerships were chopping the noses and wings off just to sell them and get rid of them. i seen one at a car show the guy had preserved just as he bought it, which is how it was found and saved by the original owner. they actually had the busted up, sawn-off pieces of the nose and wing presented with the car, unrestored, as a view into the past of how these cars were so little-desired back then. many of you likely just heard about the barn find where there was half a dozen unrestored original superbirds found at an estate. the guy collected them all right at the time they were deemed "worthless" and saved them and got an entire fleet.

I had a friend that would buy them (Daytona too) to drive for the winter and then junk them come Spring time…

Those can be unscrewed from the fender apron. Just held on with two Philips screws. They are also remaking fender tags too. I’ve also seen the dash tags switched too!
