My wife and I are planning on doing the climb this time while on a 6 week visit to Mayo. Can you give us an idea of how long it takes to reach the summit and how long the decent takes? Best time to start and what is the estimated finish time of decent. Thank you and enjoyed this video. Great job!

Thanks! It took us 2 hours to reach the summit, going at an easy pace. It took 1 hour and 40 minutes to get back down. We started around 11 a.m. that seemed like a good time to start. A lot of it depends on the weather. We got lucky, and it turned out to be a beautiful view at the summit after starting in the drizzle. 🤞also, we were glad we brought food to eat at the summit before heading back down after a half-hour break. Good luck!

If you get a chance, try this hike. Great views and a little easier than Crough Patrick.

Awesome vid brother! Again thanks so much for sharing these adventures. Question: at about 8:02, at the summit, what was up with the crib and stuff in it? Couldn’t quite make out what that was… also, that trail? Barefoot?!? My dawgs would be shredded dude lol

Thanks again! I'm not sure about the significance of that memorial. You're the second person to ask me that. 🤔 We actually saw a couple of people at the top who were barefoot, and one of them wasn't me nor my wife. Lol. Thanks for watching. ✌️😊

Rock bed at the top is supposed to be where Saint Patrick slept for 40 days back in the day 😊

You're meant to do it barefoot!! 😂😂. Well those that are hardcore, or looking for penance for past sins. Oh, and some crawl up bare than walk......
