  • On today’s adventure join me as we scale Ireland’s holiest mountain, Croagh Patrick. Also known as The Reek amongst locals, this challenging hike is situated near the town of Westport in western Ireland.
Although the total length of this hike is only around 4.5 miles (about 7 km), be prepared for a challenge as you’ll face a fairly steep incline for most of the trek.

I want to hike this with my husband next month. I guess if we can do the entire hike perhaps we can hike half way and back!

Definitely worth it to go all the way if you can pace yourselves. Start early to avoid the heat and sun, bring or rent a hiking stick and pack extra water! Good luck!
