Kobe Bryant Takes A Shot At LeBron James After His Final Game

  • When LeBron James joined the Miami Heat in 2010 many basketball fans were disappointed because he teamed up with a Top 3 player in Dwyane Wade and all-star Chris Bosh. In the eyes of many basketball fans it showed that the reigning MVP didn't have enough confidence in himself to win a championship as the undisputed leader of a team and felt he needed more help than was necessary. The move was also met with heavy criticism from many legends who played during more competitive eras where you wanted to beat your contemporaries and not be their allies. Kobe Bryant is someone who shares that same mentality. Even though he was being a hypocrite with the "we didn't run" comment, he demanded a trade from the Lakers in '07, he was never a player that liked to joke around with his opponents and wanted the challenge of leading his own team to a championship.
    There are still people to this day that don't consider Miami's 2012 & 2013 titles legitimate because of the collusion. It's a bit unfair considering that LeBron had two of the greatest postseason runs in history but you can understand why people would feel that way. That team wasn't put together the organic way like other championship teams by drafting or trading for players and having to struggle for a few years. Their first season together resulted in a Finals appearance and the following 3 years did as well. If LeBron doesn't lead Cleveland to a championship he won't be considered a real champion because of how he won his titles.

      but lebron went back?...its not his fault for leaving...he was a free agent...and the cavs didnt make any moves to spend.....how do you think the older guys feel about kd lol...he is even worse...cause his team is a contender and he left westbrook and that city in shambles...lebron didnt join boston in 2010...miami wasnt a contender without james....the warriors won 73 games and a title and were 1 shot away from back to back titles without durant....they could go 82-0 without durant...hes a bandwagoner

      ERASER GUN!!!!.. b/c he's smart. 2014 Mia became a bad situation. In Game 5 they started RLew & RAllen. RAllen was a week from 38 yrs old. Anyway, due to age, BOTH retired that offseason. Wade was also past his prime. And Bosh, same. Their biggest offseason move before he decided to go back was Josh McRoberts. HA!!! Again, he left because he was smart. You can win +/- 60 with LeBron with anyone. At that level, from a GM standpoint, it's impossible to garner a subconscious sense of urgency. Over 90% of other teams/GMs would kill to have their team healthy, and a win at a rate of +/-60 wins.... Mo goes out in '10? No prob, LBJ went 10-0. BWallace? He won 85% of games w/o BW in 09, a better record without him than with him. DWest in 09? Won at the same exact rate without as with him. Again, you can't have that many starters & key players miss, still win at the same rate, and have a sense of urgency like all the other teams. When Odom went out in 05 on 3/18/05, Kobe was 3-13. Nothing like that has ever happened to LeBron. Kyrie missed the first 24 last season. LBJ played in 23 of the 24. LBJ went 17-6 w/o Kyrie in those 23.. .739, a rate of 61 Wins/82Gms.. He went 20-7 w/o him for the season, .741, rate of 61 Wins/82.. He's 4-1 w/o him this year... So the last 2 years, 24-8, .750, 62 Wins per/82Gms.

Then the Lakers got Gasol and were one of the top 2 teams in the league. • @sLuuugZz
    @sLuuugZz 8 лет назад +7

    Lol Yet Kobe asked for trade to the bulls in 06 - 07 after shaq left because he couldn't do it himself. And I'm pretty sure KG left the timberwolves for the celtics to win a championship who was the face of that organization couldn't win with what he had which was the original big 3 even tho the early 80's and 90's had starting line ups with 3 or 4 HOFs on it but ya the big 3 in 2010 wasn't the first.

    • @LakersDynasty42
      @LakersDynasty42  8 лет назад +2

      +Joe Momma KG was 30 when he was traded to Boston and the Timberwolves weren't even a playoff team. I don't blame LeBron for leaving but when you're the best player in the league and you team up with a Top 3 player in D-Wade at only 25 years old that's not a good look. Those teams from the 80's with multiple HOF players were built the natural way through draft picks and trades. You didn't have superstars in their mid 20's joining their rivals to win titles.

    • @nets4life377
      @nets4life377 8 лет назад

      +LakersDynasty42 Well Wade wasn't really a top 3 player once Lebron joined. Maybe top ten in his first year but after that he was banged and did not look like a top ten player. The way Garnett joined the team is not all that different from LeBron. They both joined HOFs just in different ways and there are many other superstar trades that were demanded. that's stupid how you can trash a player for joining by free agency rather than demanding for trades because the player is still not loyal to the team whether being traded or free agency. Even if LeBron did get traded their would be no equal trade to give cavs. That was Lebron only choice to get a ring.

    • @doit207
      @doit207 8 лет назад

      Kg even told the story him and and Ray Allen were suppose to be traded to the lakers but kobe wouldn't commit to a long term deal with lakers in 06-07 which cause a chain of event and the Celtics who had the most draft pick and young talent like Al Jefferson and company to make the Ray Allen and kg trade.

    • @LakersDynasty42
      @LakersDynasty42  8 лет назад +1

      Nets 4life D-Wade had some rough years from 2006-08 due to multiple injuries but had a resurgence in the 2009 & 2010 seasons.
      KG was 30 or 31 when he was traded from the Timberwolves to Boston so his best years were behind him. My issue isn't that LeBron left but that he teamed up with another superstar in Wade. He made up for that with the recent title but at the time many people were upset with his decision.

What ppl don't realize was after that off season the Lakers were playing real good ball before I repeat BEFORE they traded for Gasol. They were maybe 3rd or 4th in the west at that time. Maybe not a championship team yet but certainly better. The point I'm making is Kobe played with the guys he had, made the most of it and was later on blessed with a truly great player in Gasol.

    HA!!! Dude, Kobe never would've made it to a Conf Finals had he played with LBJ's personnel. And you're talking talent??? LBJ's 6th man (Allen) was 37.9 yrs old at the end of the '13 Finals, 38.9 in '14. Lamar Odom was a ful-fledged nba starter coming off the bench................ Bosh/Spice to Pau. How many 50 win seasons was Spice a #1 on? 0.. Pau was a #1 on a 50 win team back when the West was at it's best. He did it w/ 0 around him... Artest, was a 3rd-4th option in '10.. He led a 61 Win '04 Ind team in Mins/Gm, did so in the playoffs for them as well. Odom, the starter off the bench. Before LA, he led a second round playoff team in minutes per game, '04 Miami. Playoffs that year, same thing ......... Kobe was like Steph. Things like a starter off the bench were a MUST. You could've never won a title w/ him w/o things like that. He never got out of the first round without rosters like that....... question. What did Kobe ever do without a seven footer at 37 or more minutes per game? The answer is, he did absolutely nothing without that. He's the modern day Jerry West. You have to speak in clichés and slogans about him... "will to win," "killer instinct," etc. Why? Because there was so little that was definitive to talk about.

    • @mattday6910

      Another thing w/ that loser.. you don't get this with Jordan or LeBron. Let's look at all of the major categories in finals. FG%, 2%, 3%, A/T. The Lakers as a team were better in every finals in those categories than Kobe's production was in those categories. Again, that is not the case with LeBron and Jordan. The opposite is the case.

    • @mattday6910
      @mattday6910 8 лет назад

      Kobe would have a 0% chance of making a Conf Finals in LeBron's situation.. Where was the elite Big at 37+ mins for Clev? Wasn't one. Kobe was 1 game over .500 05-07.... you're talking Kobe in the yrs of what is to LBJ 2011-2016 Range.......... This would never happen to LBJ. If Kobe's so good how did he go 28-38 as a Started in 05? That was his 9th yr, LBJ's 9th was 2012...... No player who ever went 28-38 in a season could ever step into a LeBron situation and get to even the 2nd Round. If u're that good it's simple, u'd never go 28-38.. He was only a few games above .500 in 06&07..... If u stuck Kobe in those 09 Conf Finals that would've been the most lop-sided sweep in NBA history.. Mo & DWest, both NBA Reserves (Mo was a +/- starter/reserve), both were short (6'1 & 6'3), averaged 43+ & 45+ mins in those Conf Finals. Why? B/c their team sucked so bad. The worst 6th man n the nba at the time, Boobie, was of no help.... Kobe wasn't even a help-defender at the NBA Level... Orl would've won every single game by 20+. Kobe had no impact on a game whatsoever if you were comparing him to LeBron James. He was slow, had a hitch/pause in change of direction, small hands, etc.... Kobe would make it to a Finals in LBJ's spot.... HA!!!!! In his entire career he never had 1 Series like LBJ had in 06&07 vs Det. He didn't have the ability to do so. Lastly, Kobe was also very boring. You can count his transition plays in his career on 1 hand

    • @mattday6910
      @mattday6910 8 лет назад

      Kobe 05-07 vs the East, 80 Gms.. 42-38.. WOW!! Impressive, huh? You mentioned him being in the finals. Remember those Detroit teams that LeBron faced, 05-07? How did Kobe do against them 05-07? He was 1-4. Here was his plus/minus on the floor in those five games.... -64 points in 192.3 Mins... That's -16.0 Pts/48 Mins. He really shined against Detroit, huh?......... In '08 he played Bos twice before his elite Big arrived. They were destroyed both games.. Kobe was -24 in 73.7 Mins. That's -15.6 Pts/48... i'll say you again. He did nothing without elite Bigs, and/or Starters off the bench. Again, he never would have made even a conference finals hat he played with LeBron's level of personnel in his first stint in Clev. And those two games against Boston before Pau arrived, Boston was laughing on the floor. They weren't even competitive games. The talent had to come to Kobe. He couldn't win with just anyone like LeBron.

    Even in his Cleveland title it was Kyrie who hit the game winner and Kyrie was a superstar at that time and Kevin love before the trade gave u 20ppg and 15 rebounds a game so he still join a team with a superstar on it

    Where was Jim buss during all the festivities?
    Didn't Jim buss promise to quit if the Lakers weren't in the playoffs by now?
    I can't believe how disrespectful Jim buss was for not making an appearance at Kobe's farewell.

      +DRDFMGV I don't think Kobe cared that Jim Buss wasn't there. He should leave and let Jeanie run the team because he has a tendency to let personal feelings get in the way of business. I'm anxious to see what lottery pick we get this summer and what free agents we can sign to compliment the young talent.

      +LakersDynasty42 Thanks 4 answering(I enjoy your channel) IF JErry BUss was still alive, he would have been there. Jim needs to grow up, stop wearing a baseball cap and let experts run the team. Jim needs to resign-so the lakers have a chance to reach the top again.

    Collusion? How about the trade for Pau? LA kept their most tradable piece (Bynum) and still got Pau. The 2013 Heat were not nearly as talented top-bottom as 09&10 LA. Their 6th Man (RAllen) was 37.9 yrs old in the '13 Finals. They didn't have a full-fledged NBA Starter off their bench.. The talent top-bottom was even close.

      Belak.. I'm high huh? I think some lil' poster on here made that comment b/c it got under their skin. Why? B/c they know it's true, & don't like that reality..... Cool Belak. Since you da man, make sense of that trade, how they KEPT Bynum, Odom, even Kobe, and got a #1 scoring option from anither team. Explan it. Show the board how I'm high & map it out for us. Also, name another comparable trade you remember. Btw. A #1 scoring option who had a 50 win season. Pau did more as a #1 than Kobe. Kobe had a losing record as a starter from 05-07.

      @belak1551 7 лет назад

      +Matt Day you would have to be high to think that those laker teams were better top to bottom than thheat team. A heat team with lebron, dwade, chris bosh, and ray allen all HOF players without question plus a solid supporting cast. Oh and the lakers gave the grizzlies Marc gasol in that trade as well people forget that.

    • @mattday6910
      @mattday6910 7 лет назад

      Belak.. Top to bottom? Are u kidding? Artest. In 04 Ind led the League in Wins, 61. They lost in 6 in the CONF FINALS only to the eventual champs (Det) who beat LA in 5. Ummmmm, Artest led that team in mins. He led them in mins in the Playoffs as well. He was the #4 scoring option in '10. Depending on who was in the game, you can argue he was a 5th option in spots. Give me a Miami Starter 4th option with that on his record at any point in his career. Who, Chalmers? lol... Odom, like Iggy for GS, still an NBA Starter. Also like Iggy to Barnes, in 09&10 he was better than the 3 or 4 (depending on which year u look at) on his own team.... Pau, as a #1 had a 49 & 50 win season. Kobe had a losing record 05-07....... Post Shaq, Wade had 0 50 win seasons. Bosh, 0 50 win seasons. Bosh only made the playoffs twice before Mia. He never got out of the 1st Round..... Now to the 6th, RAllen. In 2012 the Celts ended up moving him to the bench in the last 15 or so games. Why? B/c they were 2 games under .500 with him starting, and they won over 70% of their games without him at all (when he was out)... Ok, at the end of the '13 Finals he was 36.9 Yrs old, less than a month from 37. In the '14 Finals, weeks from 38. That's 36.9 and 37.9 in the modern era, not 1982..... I know u dont think '14 was a good situation.. Allen and RLewis started Game 5. Ok, Battier played a good bit in the finals as well.. Ummmm, so 2 starters and another off the bench. All? Retired that offseason due to age (too old).... Threre's absolutely no comparison. Even in 09. What'd Ariza do the very next year? He was on a .500+ team, 44 wins, and he led the team in Mins/Gm. LBJ's never been on a team even close to as loaded, and he's never had a full-fledged starter off the bench. Unless u think Shump's an NBA starter. lol God, I hope not.

    • @mattday6910
      @mattday6910 7 лет назад

      Belak. Like in last message. RAllen was no longer an NBA Starter. No way. Kareem's a HOFer. He's a Sr Citizen, but do u think a team should sign him? Anyway, even Bos acknowledged that he wasn't a starter at the end of 2012.. Ok. Neither Bosh or Wade were ever #1's on 50+ win teams. If they were so good, how'd this happen? From 11-14, without Bosh or Wade, or both, what'd LeBron do?.... 54-18. He won exactly 75% of his games without either or both. That's 62 Wins per 82 Games. If they were so good, & that team was so deep (it wasn't), how did that happen? They were good, right? It was a big deal if they were out, right? Answer: Apparently not. Let me guess. You think this Clev team's great outside of LeBron too huh? From 08-10 w/o LBJ, Clev was 1-14. 15-17 (to this point this year), 4-18.. So, 08-10 & 15-17, that's 5-32 without LeBron. That's .135, they've lost 6.4 games for every ONE they've won. That's Regular season games. They can't win Regular season games w/o him. Kyrie & Love as "All-Stars." Cool, name a winning season for either w/o LeBron.. Answer: they've played for nothing but Lottery teams, all losing seasons. All-Star can be as overrated as anything. 1. The fans vote on it. 2. Many all stars dont have games that translate to Wins. They just put up solid or good numbers. Their numbers end at numbers. They have no influence beyond that. You sign a Kyrie or Love & u get their numbers. It doesn't go beyond that. Both are bad defenders. KLove's as bad of a defender as any in history.

    i don't think Kobe was stabbing at LeBron per say, but just saying hes proud he did it all in a Laker uniform and that he is glad his trade requests never happened, and besides he could have left in free agency many times like, but did not so dont even bring up the trade request deal.
