@@HubCityDrones Seems as though the old cell phone I was trying to Attach the drone to is not compatible. I am using my iphone as the exo app opens now- I am about to try and calibrate everything that you state in your video. Wish me luck. Thanks

So I've had the drone for a month, and I can say so far that I'm really enjoying this drone. I've had to do an advanced gimbal calibration on it a few days ago. The horizon tilt got very bad and gyro calibrations would not correct it. After I did the advanced calibration, it's been rock solid.
I've been playing around a lot with taking videos, pictures and using the creative modes. Taking pictures at times, I had very bad clarity issues and the pictures looked garbled and grainy. Videos would play but were very choppy.
Come to find out the SD card I was using "brand new SD card", was getting hot for some reason and was not saving the pictures or videos correctly. I put a different SD card in and that corrected the issue.
It's a good little drone. Although very disappointed that there hasn't been any firmware updates in quite some time. The minor issues this drone has could have been corrected with firmware updates.
So for my rating, I rate this drone 8 out of 10. Very good flying drone with some minor issues.
I'll need to go get another SD card for it. I bought a 64 GB card for it. May need to do 128 because 64 GB doesn't hold a lot of footage. Maybe only 35 to 40 minutes.

Wondering how this drone has held up ? I know the company sold out so I’m wondering how the app is holding up ? How is the drone holding up ?
EXO hasn't sold out they bought Hubsan out, the Blackhawk was supposed to be the "Hubsan Ace" when EXO took over they just changed the name, as far as the APP it's holding up just fine it actually just got a small update (nothing major) and the drone is holding up great its my second favorite Drone next to my Mini 3 Pro!
I currently flying the hs175d, this blackhawk 2 i should have gotten first. This will b my next thank you.

No part 107 needed, unless uou plan on making any money with, you do need to register it thought, it not a big deal just go to the FAA DRONE ZONE, Cost $5 bucks and your good for 2yrs, Thanks for Watching!
EXO discontinued Part 107 training after my purchase and are not giving that training anymore - super bummed as that was part of my decision process. They wont honor it even tho its still on their website. Just a heads up you may want to pull your link.

I currently have the Exo ranger x7 plus. Its a good beginner drone, but im thinking about buying the Blackhawk 2. Just wish it wasnt 700 dollars. Maybe if i can catch it for 600 dollars maybe ill pull the trigger, but who knows.

It does, it will go a tad bit faster with a good tail wind!
I am new to the whole drone thing. And it is all confusing to me. Hope to figure it all out. Cause my little ones want drones but they are still to young. So hope I don't get overwhelmed like I am starting to

The UAS community is very supportive so don't be afraid to join forums and groups and ask questions. The first question you have to answer is "What do I want to do with the drone?" Second question is "How in debt am I willing to be?" Lol
Don't overwhelmed I know that it is easier said than done but drones have come a long way and they are a lot easier to fly now, if you have any questions at all or need any help please don't hesitate to send me a message

@HubCityDrones Thank you. The Exo Ranger is a good flying drone, but I'm unhappy that after 4 replacement drones that the drone flies off and crashes. My last replacement flew away but I was able to control it a little bit to be able to catch it, but I can't fly the ranger drones because of safety. I'm not sure why they won't calibrate correctly in my area, even though it finds 19 satellites. Can't wait to get the Blackhawk in the air
How do you think the drone is now? I'm sure it has had quite a few firmware updates since release.
I talked to Exo and they said this drone, and the Blackhawk 2 pro, and the mini series now have remote ID support.
@leoscomputerandguitarrevie978 I know they used to be Hubson before they merged with EXO I used get updates all the time I've a few since with EXO so they are always making it better
@HubCityDrones Thought I'd give another update on me flying this drone.
I absolutely love this drone so far. It is a joy to fly. I think the firmware updates have increased the performance and stability of the drone and the flight controls from the drone controller as well.
The response from the controller to the drone is great. Film mode is absolutely wonderful for getting great 4K footage. Yet what is strange is every once in a while I get the same interference issue you had with the live FPV while in film mode. It doesn't happen in normal or sport mode.
I absolutely love the smart functions. The dronie feature is my favorite, seconded by the Orbit/follow me feature using active track.
I've recorded with all resolutions on this drone and all of them except 720p look very good. The 720p video has more motion blur issues and the auto features seem to take longer to adjust to lighting conditions and the look of the terrain on the ground. Maybe EXO didn't properly adjust the auto rules for the shutter speed and other settings. However, 4K is gorgeous on film, and 2.7k looks great and 1080p also looks great. I can't complain about filming in those resolutions. I kind of wish EXO offered 1080P 60 FPS on the standard model, but 30 FPS isn't a deal breaker.
There are some minor things I'm trying to get used to on this drone "mostly taking gimbal cover off and putting the front legs down". I need to purchase a landing pad for this drone.
While recording, the maximum flight time I got while recording "9% battery left" was 28 minutes. It said the drone will land on its own soon so I thought I better stop recording and land it.
People all over RUclips were saying that they would start to lose FPV connection around the 1800 ft mark. I think I saw one person on RUclips lose FPV connectivity at 3200 feet I believe.
If I'm watching my drone, I start to lose VLOS around 3000 feet. I had no FPV loss. Wish I was able to go out further to test the range on this thing but I know I can't go BVLOS.
So far, absolutely lovely drone. Some compare this drone to the DJI Mavic Air 2S, which I hear that is a fantastic drone as well.
You should do an updated video on this with all the updated firmware.
I wouldn't mind doing a review on my Blackhawk 2 on my channel, but not sure if I can with flying as a recreational flyer.

The charge time is also slow. Expect 12 hours charge on a average 20 min run time... Pros..
Very stable, Even in high winds... I live in the northwest and 50 ft evergreens are everywhere
And the and when I rarely do lose signal the unit finds me and regains signal...

Not directly from the drone but you could with a 3rd party app that can live stream your cellphone screen
@Hub City Drones & Gadgets i use streamyard for podcasts. I will see if streamyard can do this

Really does not seem worth it for nearly $700!!! Get a DJI mini 3 for that
EXO isa USA company but drones are made in China by hubsan just with EXO name on them. and add to that EXO was just bought out by a marketing company. Might aswell spen a few extra buck and get DJI Air 2S. Air 2S is better drone, with better specs. EXO is over priced for less than DJI Air 2s Quality.
I will never take the test or pay for the Fart 107!!
