    SPOILERS FOR INFINITY WAR!
    Eh guess who's back? I just couldn't help but think how Steve was just done with everything, considering how much he'd lost. I have a couple of more ideas about IW, so hopefully I can finish those videos in the near future!
    Hope you enjoy this take on the character!
    I haven't uploaded anything since January. I think this is the longest I've been away from vidding. I've been dealing with some work stress, loss of inspiration and then I was away for a month in May. And then my computer decided to start dying, so I could really use some more work/help right now.
    I've updated my commission page on tumblr here secretlytodream...

    I don’t know why some people that I know hate him so much? Because they think he’s this “perfect superhuman?”. He’s one of the greatest and most inspirational superheroes in the Marvel Universe, even though he’s just a fictional character, he can still be looked as an actual inspiration in life.

    This was epic... he went through a lot and people tend to forget that he's still such a young guy who tries to do the best while not forgetting his loved ones. I just wanna hug him😭 This video was so touching, you really caught the traits of his character, his motivations and his history. It really is an amazing job. If somebody asks me "Who is Steve Rogers?" I will show them this video. Thank you❤

    So sad, he really lost everything and even then he lost more. I have no idea why every fucking time, in every movie, Marvel wants to hurt him. He deserve better after all he did. Now, back to your editing, I'm glad you show this character as he really is. I have no words - my heart is broken but I love every second of watching. Thank you ❤

    So emotional! I'm speechless about Steve's life... he sacrificed everything is happiness by losing his love, best friend the only member of his family (Bucky) etc... so sorry but he deserves better ending for all that he has done. You got a new subscriber love your work👍👌 well done... but don't want him to die please I'm gonna cry loudly. Don't give a damn of whoever is watching me

    For me, the epitome of Cap is the grabbing of Thanos’ gauntlet hand. He knows he can’t win. He’s stalling to give Wanda enough time to destroy the mind stone. But in that brief struggle, when he sees Thanos will overpower him, he screams. Not in fear or regret. It’s to let death know that you can beat me, but you cannot defeat me. Props to Chris Evans for portraying an iconic character above & beyond.

    The story of Steve Rogers is absolutely heartbreaking. This man just refuses to give up, even after all of the things that the world has thrown at him he continues going. He drops his shield when he feels like he’s made his stands and that shield is what signifies his life as Captain America. He died for pretty much nothing after watching the ones he loved and cared for suffer and die. Peggy was right “I’m only sad you didn’t get to live your”. He fights over and over and looses so much in the process (Peggy, Bucky, his mother) and he just keeps going. People say I love Steve Rogers cause he’s hot, and yes Chris Evans is a very attractive man, but I love Steve Rogers because he never gives up and he just keeps going. He really is America’s golden boy, with a golden heart.

      I’m the same way with Bucky. He is very attractive don’t get me wrong, but Bucky was tortured and brainwashed, he never got to stop fighting and go home but that never stopped him for doing what he thought was right. He didn’t think he was worth it for Steve to leave everyone behind for him, he did everything he could prewar to keep Steve safe. After his moms funeral, Bucky insisted he stay with him because he didn’t want him to be alone. Bucky was misunderstood and taken advantage of, his character deserved more. These two men stole my heart, especially James Buchanan Barnes, I love them both so much.

      @edgyedgelordmcedgerson666 6 лет назад +24

      Yeah Thor pretty much watched his Mom die, his father die, his brother die (twice), watched his evil sister die, got dumped by Jane foster, lost his eye (granted he got a new one), lost half his people, lost his home, watched his best friend die, lost his other friends, lost his hammer. Jesus I never realised how depressing MCEU's Thor life was untill I wrote it all down... Goddamn...

    • @ginge641
      @ginge641 6 лет назад +6

      Edgy Edgelord McEdgerson And Iron Man had a cold, distant father who set an impossible standard for him to live up and more responsibility than he could live up to. He was then captured and tortured by terrorists. They guy he befriended in there died to give him a second chance just as he learned empathy. He then had everyone in his life trying to discourage him from his new mission and a man who was essentially his father figure turned out to be an evil dickhead.
      He was then slowly dying of palladium poisoning, getting PTSD from The Battle of New York, suffer anxiety attacks and nearly getting blown up with his house.
      This paranoia drove Pepper from him and drove him to nearly destroy the world. The Avengers, his last lifeline, was split in the same week when he learned that the man he was helping killed his mother and that one of his best friends knew about it. Then a kid who he treated like a son died in front of him.
      These guys have fun lives.

    • @kellyann8440
      @kellyann8440 6 лет назад +9

      Steve has been depressed even when he young . He lost so much at such a young age . It breaks my heart . He has literally lost everything . His identify has a superhero , his family , his past , his freeedom , friends,70 years of life . Yes Steve wasn’t really in infinity war but the scenes I saw him he looked drained, sad and tired of life. I know everyone that got turned into dust will come back but still he lost multiple people he cared out . Steve has so Guilt over everything exceptionally what happened to Bucky . Steve shouldn’t have guilt over what happened but he does . He wishes he could go in the past but he can’t. I think there is a part of Steve that wishes he was dead . I think his peace is dying. Steve in every movie looks tired of life and everythig in general . Steve crashed the plane to save people he never wanted to found . Then he was found and it was 70 years later . He didn’t even I have choice if he wanted to be alive . Steve keeps on losing something or someone . Steve doesn’t know who is as a person . People don’t knew Steve is good enough . He lost his mom when he was 18 . He had so many health problems when wa young . If Steve make mistake then he is bad person but he isn’t . He is just has flawed as everyone else in life . Also people think Steve should be fine but he isn’t . There were plenty of reasons why he protected Bucky and why he didn’t sign the accords . Yes Steve should have told tony the truth about us parents but he made a huge mistake . Steve deals with loneliness, depression , anxiety , being out of time , ptsd . But no one realizes he is dealing with all that . Now they lose the battle against Thanos . He has been betrayed so many times .

      +DC Right there with you, DC. Not to mention I'm still torqued that Cap's considered a war criminal while Tony's living it up, engaged to Pepper and basically getting everything he wanted out of life.
      Personally, Tony's blaming Bucky doesn't make sense. Hawkeye was mind-controlled and everyone understood and nobody, including Tony, ever held it against him for everyone he killed -- as it should be. For all we know, those people were parents, too, and at the very least, they were brothers, sisters, someone's children.
      Bucky was brainwashed and tortured for years and forced to do what he did. Yes, killing Tony's parents was bad, but we saw in CW that Bucky *couldn't* fight the triggers, once given. In this case, Bucky was no more at fault than a handgun would be in a fatal shooting. The murderer was the person at HYDRA who gave the order (probably Pierce.) Clearly, Bucky regrets the actions he was forced to take, not that Tony ever gives him a chance to address it.
      And to get pissed at Steve for not telling him about the murder? That makes no sense, and claiming Steve lied to him is bogus. Steve didn't tell him, no, but that's not lying to him. As far as we know, Tony never asked him about it. The worst one might say is that it's lying by omission, but even that's pushing it. After all, what's worse, to think your parents died in a car crash or that they were murdered? Personally, I'd take the former. What's the point in being deliberately cruel to Tony when it would make no difference? His parents are dead and HYDRA is being dealt with. Anyone with an ounce of tact or compassion would keep their mouth shut to avoid causing further pain, which is what Steve did.
      (Also, I contend that Steve himself isn't 100% positive Bucky was responsible for Howard's murder until he sees the tape; all he knows for *certain* is that HYDRA engineered Howard's murder. TBH, he might even be in some denial, too; there's no way that the Bucky that Steve knew would ever have killed Howard, and Zola never does come out and *say* that the Winter Soldier was responsible for Howard's death, though there is some implication. All Zola says is, 'accidents happen' and shows Nick Fury's face with 'deceased' and the front page of the newspaper showing Howard. However, Bucky's hardly the only person HYDRA has who could have handled such a thing. The only thing truly concrete that can be gained from what Zola says is that HYDRA was responsible for both Fury and Howard's deaths.)
      What Tony's *really* mad about is that he knows he was a d*ck to his parents and their sudden death meant he couldn't correct his ways and say goodbye. But that's on Tony, not Bucky. Tony's putting his anger at himself onto Bucky, because it's easier to blame someone else than take the blame himself.
      Eh. Lots of reasons Civil War is one of my least favorite Marvel films. I'm still grumpy they turned it into Iron Man 4 with Spider-Man The Boy Wonder instead of an actual Cap movie, especially since there won't be anymore.
      But I'm getting WAY off topic. Great video!

      I feel like I'm gonna be the only one disagreeing here. Although he is my favorite mcu character, I think the only way to send him off is with a bang. I thought of it like this: how would his departure be accepted with him just quitting the role, or going into retirement. Steve doesn't seem like the kind of guy to back down, their will always be people to save. If he sacrificed himself to save tony, widow, banner, or even thor, that would be a better way. Also I feel like even though it will break hearts, it will be better received by us fans because we know he died doing the right thing

    • @XofHope
      @XofHope 6 лет назад +6

      nicolas martin Even if it shatters my heart to tiny pieces, I agree with you. Steve wouldn't be the Steve we know and love if he backed down. He can't, he doesn't know how to. It's fitting for him to go down fighting to save Bucky and the world (but mostly Bucky :)), it'd be sadder if he didn't and instead slowly withered away, having lost his need to fight for what he knows is right.

    Really beautiful. Artful marriage of audio with the visuals. Back in the day Cap was my favourite hero. In these movies, with Chris Evan's thoughtful performance, I like him even more. Your video here captures the humanity that makes Captain America the most compelling Avenger

    Excellent video. Cap is my fav hero, and you capture perfectly well all he has been dealing with.. poor Steve... he is losing a part of him on every movie... but yet... he is so superior to others in that part... his suffering is silence... an example to follow for sure. Thank you.... :)
