I absolutely love HOTD. Although he wasn't on for a long time, Viserys became one of my favorite characters, and I just had to make a video on him.

I've never cried so much for a GRRM character. Man, this video is so well put together and captures his tragedy so well. He is guilty of being a weak King but is a good man and you can't help but empathize.

That’s how you make a tribute. I watched the other tributes of Viserys from different creators. Viserys is favorite character and king in the HOTD. But this one is my favorite. You made it very emotionally. And that for me is what makes it really good! GREAT JOB MAN! And long live the king!

Its very rare that a character on screen is better than that of the source material but Paddys Vicerys was significantly better than the book, even GRRM said so

He was very much to me the Ned Stark of House of the DRagon. But better he was King. Thank youn King Viserys Targaryen, first of his name King of the Andals, and the Rhoynar, and the First Men Lord of the Seven Kingdoms, and Protector of the Realm for the longest lasting peace Westeros had ever seen!
First of all, I thought I'd just say this AMAZING, and a really nice find for me today on my internet journey. I've no clue about the first thing to do with editing, but it's clear you put a lot of love and passion into creating it, so I hope more people get to see it. Secondly, I feel as if Viserys is a clear example of a random and probably weird phrase I've come up with called the "Tsar Nicholas" effect. Where, by at least the standards of the time, Nicholas, just like Viserys, was a fairly good family man, who I think would have been content being a Lord with his lands and relatives, rather than holding the crown. He was certainly NOT built for leadership, and should have attempted far earlier to have resolved the growing conflict within his family, but I'll say that he at least tried, rather than simply ignoring it until the very end (he did ignore it sometimes though before that I'll admit.) Anyways I've rambled on for far too long already. It's an interesting idea though to think about what if Rhaenys had been given the throne instead? Either way, thanks again for all your hard work! :)

Love is the death of duty... Every time a Targaryen chooses love the realm bleeds. If Viserys, Rhaenyra and Alicent choose duty... The winter would have been short and mild. The ruin of House Targaryen started here, and the line of Daemon ruined the realm culminating in the burning of King's Landing.
He was a good man and he do somes big mistakes indeed but he was truly too human for being a king.
The biggest error for me was that he loves Rhaenyra too much in comparaison of his others childrens and spoiled her too much of his own responsabilites.
And now his watch over the realm has ended......please don't go...
