As a recent beginner to rediscovering a passion for building Gunpla (2 months ago) after abandoning the hobby in the 1990s (everything turned out underwhelming because I was hand painting), I find having all the information online and in videos very helpful. Your channel is one of my favourites for how the information is presented and how you show your face in the video (as opposed to always looking over the shoulder and watching fast forwarded time lapse). Can you maybe talk about how to judge the amount of paint you need to get for a particular model? I brought back to Calgary a Five Star Stories Knight of Gold kit from a Volks store in Akihabara, Tokyo along with a 15 mL bottle each of some special mix gold and copper lacquer. It's a 1/100 scale that's probably bigger than an MG Gundam but I read somewhere I might need 3 bottles of the gold. Even with a 1:2 paint to thinner ratio, I will get 30 mL of each colour paint for airbrushing. I haven't started to paint yet but it would be helpful to know before beginning so I don't run out of paint in the middle.
Sad news is about Bandai fixed the metal mold on October 2024, the best solution is buy 1 more (manufacture after Oct can check on runner) then none of problem and able to see both look of 2.0
Won't be fixing it. I barely notice it and it shows that my copy is first edition. All future copies will be fixed and there will never be more copies of this mistake.
Yes I do have such issue, since it was from the 1st print. Those who get this kit from later batches (print dial from Oct.2024) wont have this issue any more.
Do you recommend the booth? I got a smaller one like it on Amazon but the smell was still very strong when spraying. Going to return it and get a new one.
@@frostedsnow I think it's Niche market that a clever business savvy person could take advantage of and make some good money. I would seriously open a Gunpla World store here in the States if I could get the overhead loans approved lol. It's a market that could see some good profit.
This highlights one of the main reasons I prefer MGs and 1/100 kits. Larger scale kits are way easier to work with, especially when you are doing custom work. 1/144 kits are just too small for me.

correcting my math: a 15 mL bottle paint at 1:2 paint to thinner ratio will yield 45 mL, not 30 mL.

Filling the gap first with baking soda then a few drops of CA glue. The ca cures almost immediately, is very durable, and sandable.
Happy Holidays everyone! Did you buy the kit? Does it have the head vulcan issue and will you fix it?

just got a 1st release and the issue isn't a problem to me at all

i am looking for the new spray paint booth. what is your paint booth model do you have ?
You can find my Amazon storefront links to many of my products in my description box!

You should try Mr Hobby's aqueous topcoat (GH101), its my new favorite flat top coat
I have it in the little backlog I have accumulated accidentally. Really curious if I have the old variant.
When did you buy it? If it's from about a month ago then it's probably the old print
check runner print if it's X then you're safe, if it's 9 and below then congrats
@ChrisTian-sd5yq you guys are overacting it's not really that noticeable, I don't recommend buying another copy just for that
Love the video, very clever fix. Yes, Fedex has some severe customs gouging going on, avoid!
It's too bad because it's hard to get gunpla supplies from Canada as it is!

I love this channel ;)
Thank you
Is there any US supplier for IPP paints from Korea that anyone knows of?
Keep dubbing the videos into Spanish, with artificial intelligence, I'm already sharing your videos...Thank you!!!
I have never seen such an HD palm. 😆
Not bought but am getting ready to buy my first MG
Which kit? MG is, by far, my favourite line.
@fattiger6957 looking at death scythe or eternal star supreme evolution
I'd recommend Astray for 1st MG
@@ChrisTian-sd5yq oh why, I have been building models for years. Car's, gunpla, and resin figures etc.
@@johnlanger7852 Cause the MG astray have many 3rd party/bandai add ons and it's posable too but that's just my opinion
한국 다시오셨나보네요 ㄷ ㄷ

You can add baking soda to your super glue to fill gaps.
I'll try that next time if I don't have anything to fill with!

I do prefer the bigger kits too. I haven't built an RG in a while!
I'm confused. Why is the head vulcan being partially obscured a problem?
Less accurate
If you had a model car and the muffler was partially covered by the bumper you’d probably want to adjust it as well.
mould defect
@SpeepBlob To what?
personally, I feel like if the vulcans where that far in, it'd blast the helmet when you shoot out of it!
