A Kate ainda fala pra o Jack que estava sentada no avião ao lado do homem ferido com o estilhaço na barriga. Porém como foi no "Pilot Part 1" nós não sabíamos que ele poderia ser um agente federal e que ela era a prisioneira algemada.

I usually only listen to the Reaction channels while I am driving. Since English is the only language I speak, yours is something I have to sit and watch. I'm glad to be getting in on the Pilot because it's hard to catch up to a season or two of reactions. I might always be a day or two late in seeing them, but I will be anxiously awaiting each episode.

After seeing LOST close to 20x I am always so jealous of moments about to occur over the next 5 or 6 episodes. When LOST aired back in 2004 it was a game changer that altered the TV landscape forever. Back then people would ask me if they should watch LOST and my answer always went something like this.....Yes you should watch it but be warned LOST will ruin every tv show you watched before and every show you watch from now on. I never realized how good tv could be before LOST. The writing was never lazy, never forced, never hollow and most importantly never wasted. Everything meant something and for those that didn't like LOST I think they missed the point. The mysteries were important but the real value was creating the mystery at all. AND IM NOT GOING TO CREDIT TV SHOWS FOR ANSWERING 3 QUESTIONS JUST BECAUSE THE WRITERS WERE TOO LAZY TO CHALLENGE THEIR MINDLESS AUDIENCE. For your friends that you have gifted this amazing journey too I have some advice. 1. Enjoy all the mysteries and all the questions, sure we promise you the writers will answer them but realize that once you have all the answers there is no further reason to watch it. So be patient and you will be rewarded. 2. Everyone will tell you "don't even try to figure out what is going on, just enjoy it" LISTEN TO THEM. 3. And this ties to #2 as well. The reason we say "don't try to figure it out" is because their no "thing" and "nothing" to figure out LOST is about so many things that it would be impossible to unlock its mysteries this early. Again, as stated above 20x on I still discover things I had not noticed before. 4. Expect the unexpected. Whatever you think is happening its not, whatever you think you figured out, you haven't, and whatever others say is probably a lie. 5. You will at some point ask yourself the following "come on, were the writers making this up as they went along?" The answer is YES just like every writer that ever existed. The difference is they had to write it for TV. This would be like JK Rowling wtiting chapters of Harry Potter when they could cancel her at any time. Imagine her story being shelved...just like that. But they always knew the overarching story they wanted to tell. Some of the in between is fluid. 6. Trust in Rodrigo.... your guide .... your proctor...... your pilot .... your shaman.... your yoda .... and most importantly ..... your friend.
LOST- you changed the mindset of an old, tired, and worn out medium and convinced networks to rethink their philosophies and to take a chance on story, intelligent writing. And once you found your niche, the writers executed the story to perfection. LOST you changed my life, and the lens I see it through, and I'm forever grateful in ways you will never know. Thank you ...thank you.....thank you...HERE WE GO......

That's beautiful, Anthony! I couldn't have said it better either... it 100% changed my life as a whole and, of course, the way I watched TV and consumed art. Things just couldn't be the same after that.

I have reservations about your "everything has an answer" comment but I agree it's basically the right thing to say to a beginner because they need to have the chance to decide themselves and it would be a huge discouragement to hint they might not have the satisfaction. But, I think you should not go further and say "people didn't pay attention" because 1. it's not always true, as for example I certainly paid a lot of attention and I still have unanswered questions in my mind and/or answers that are so superficial that it feels like a no answer to me, sorry. 2. you're making their mind up beforehand.
I think you should say something along the lines "I can assure you, at least most of the answers (if not all) are there but you'll have to pay attention and connect the dots and then decide yourself if they're satisfactory or not"
What you said was close but I can't say I agree with the stress on "who says that didn't pay attention or skipped episodes/seasons" notion.
Yeah, I admit I get carried away by the love for the show sometimes. I get your feeling, I really do - as I felt that for so long after the 1st watch. But after repeated views, I don't know... it's a feeling of fulfillingness that no other show - with all the answers given - provide.
But really, thanks for the advice, I'll be more careful with words. Although you can expect that I'll fail sometimes haha!

And already lovin' the questions being asked by the new LOSTies. Ju is on top of the weird weather phenomenon (and all of the "unnatural" stuff), Hugo doesn't seem to like anyone just yet and hilariously doesn't like all the blood either (I'll be curious to see who he warms up to), and Gabi has thankfully not remembered a lot of it by the looks of it (or she's really good at pretending for the sake of the others) 😊

Backgammon is def not an old person's game. I played it when I was a teenager. Then my sons did.
But it is super old. Only one game is older. And I've forgotten the name. I actually Googled this, my 1st time watching Lost. Coz of what Locke says.

In the early 90s there were night clubs that had backgammon tables. My favorite bars 😄 Great music, good liquor and playing a mind game. 🍸 🎲

About getting answers for everything... the ambiguity... It's like one of the cast once said, "Life doesn't provide answers for many things. How boring would the show be, if it wrapped up every detail?"
And I SO agree. That'd mean no mysteries, and a lazy brain. How utterly boring.
But in Lost, imo, everything is answered. Except for a few tiny details that really don't matter.
I am SOOO glad Lindelof and Cuse decided to write the show as they wanted to, instead of doing fan-service. Who pays attention get answers, simple as that. It's fair that nor every answer pleases the viewer, but still, it's part of the fascinating show Lost is.
