Ask Uncle Pauly how he managed to fuck up my 1968 Cougar to the tune of over $10 K in damages and gave me a car that would not move or run. Take your stuff to a professional guys, your pocket book will thank you for it.
If there is room for ports it could be converted to a blower scavenged 2 stroke. I think they are high nicklel blocks with a forged shaft. not sure. i heard some had a rollwe bearing bottom end for the w30 and toronado.
Static compression is just that. The measure of volume at BDC vs compression. Dynamic compression takes into affect the closing point of the intake valve. Dynamic compression ratio calculators are available. For a street engine 7.5:1-8.2:1 is a good range.
I'm looking into buying a 1984 olds cutless supreme that has a 307 V8 and I found a 455 rocket for sale with a transmission. would the rocket and matched transmission fit in the cutless?
Yes and no. All Small block Oldsmobiles are externally the same size. So a 307, 330, 350, 403 will all bolt right in (260 will too but the 260 is a boat anchor). The 350 swap is a lot easier. I have a stout 350 in front of a stock 200 -4r and no issues at all (83 H/O)
Revisiting you video 7 years later, still enjoy every minutes.
New series: Excellent.
I'll get the popcorn ready.
Thank u for your videos
455 are known for oiling issues, easily fixed if you know how... done it to several 455’s and it negates all issues
Its entertaining to watch how this guy learned as he went along.
Following your steps 2021. Thank you
We always put pins in deep freeze not heat rods
What are some good heads for a 1975 455 to build it with a little more power?

Me too I'm very nervous

Hey dude, is there any chance of doing a video explaining the difference between static and dynamic balancing.
Static compression is just that. The measure of volume at BDC vs compression. Dynamic compression takes into affect the closing point of the intake valve. Dynamic compression ratio calculators are available. For a street engine 7.5:1-8.2:1 is a good range.
Balancing, not Compression Ratios sorry.
I got a 1983 regency Oldsmobile looks like Delta 88 back's a little different if the 455 fits in a delta it should fit in mines right
