Be aware when buying the Premium membership, the second you click the purchase button it becomes non-refundable. It doesn’t matter if you call to cancel immediately, you will not get your money back. You are also automatically enrolled into auto-renew for Premium. If you fail to cancel your membership before the renewal date you will be charged for the full price of the yearly membership and once again, it’s non-refundable. It’s not transparent before the purchase this is Fitbits policy. It’s hidden deep in the terms and conditions as paid subscriptions. Also when they sell a bundled package for the protection plan / premium membership it reads as being able to get a full refund within 45 days. This only applies to the protection plan.
It's so annoying and just a money grabbing thing that I hope is going to hurt them in the long run even if it helps their bottom line in the short term
this video is made for people who already know the features of the free fitbit app. for those who are thinking about getting a fitbit watch and have no idea about the free app either, i learned nothing from this video. you should have made a comparison video. ...with the free and premium side by side so we would know what we would be missing if we decided not to opt into the premium app. for example what can i learn about my sleep with the free app, and what does the premium add on that? like what am i missing if i don't get the premium.
Thank you so god damn much. There are NO comparison charts/screen displays or review that show this. It's all PUSH PUSH PUSH for subscription on their website and on RUclips. This is a great review thank you
This was a good solid review unlike many others claiming to be reviews but actually just marketing adds thank you. Can't help but feel frustrated that they lock simple 12hour Nigh-time heart rate statistics behind premium, just giving you a Medium Value and not the same values as the daily record. May drop Fitbit just for that reason alone.
It is definitely frustrating. Recently they discontinued challenges as well so you get less for your money. It does seem to be where the industry is going sadly
Very true, review. I was little stressed out while you were explaining all those features. How can common person deep dive into data and get something out useful to plan next activity. Anyway, I will just use it for tracking my stuff, just ordered Charge 6 today.
I've brought a fitbit inspire 2 with 1 year free premium subscription. Do you enter a code in the app to activate the premium service? How does it work? Great video. Thank you.
Hi Frost, can you please clarify 1 thing for me. Can we check the detailed SpO2 graph/readings for one night without premium? e.g When we wake up, are we able to see if we have had any dips in SpO2 throughout the night?
Good vid man. The readiness score never makes sense to me. I have a lower score with better sleep lower working out the day before and I higher hrv then I did when I had the opposite. And I feel good
Fitbit has all the tools to make it better, but currently it really only goes by if you worked out the day before instead of incorporating everything. I'm pretty sure they will start to get it right in a couple of months
Due to how I use my watch I need a big display so I usually have a bigger smart watch and a Whoop on. If I didn't need both I probably would just go with a Fitbit
So for the average user that is looking for a health tracker.. all you get for 10$ a month is less than 2MB worth of cloud storage so that you can review your heart rate variability (stress level), and sleep pattern over 90 days. I got a cheap Huawei Band 8 and it stores all the data locally on the phone itself without limits, with cloud storage being entirely optional. Less than halve the price of a fitbit, no sub and we are in control of our own data.
Well...I was about to buy one but that 7 day metrics only has convinced me otherwise. And I saw a comment somewhere here about server costs for storing data... But 1) it's not a huge amount of data and 2) just keep it stored locally on my watch/phone. I'd actually prefer that.
I’m not sure when Premium was updated but with my Charge 5 I did not activate my premium free 6 months yet and I am able to see all of my Health Trends data since I started my account (approx 1.5 months ago)
That's a very broad question because someone's best fitness tracker will be different than someone else's. I love my Whoop 4.0 but I wouldn't recommend it to everyone
@@FitnessWithFrost I understand that I guess I like the premium features of the Fitbit, but wish there was a similar fitness tracker alternative that did not require you to pay additional prices.
@@FitnessWithFrost Thank you :) not that you care but I was a Fitbit user for a very long time and was disappointed with their HR accuracy on Fitbit sense and sense 2. I bought Garmin Venu 3, Apple Watch 9 and I still think I am better off just buying Fitbit Charge 6 since they are claiming that the new HR will be 60% more accurate and they still are probably the most user friendly and price-friendly company out there. as well as sleep tracking is one of the best comparing the 3 devices that I have tested lol (apple is good too but its not 160 bucks)
Because of this premium thing I desided not to buy their band. Buying their hardware and feel like a second class cityzen in the app is kind of fucked up
There are a couple of other questions. Are you going to use the workouts or the meditations and yoga? Is the recovery score important to you. If the answers to those questions are no then I do not think it's worth it
Not worth it in my opinion! They crew up! If the subscription was £3 a month, maybe but £9.99 is a laugh. I would need to pay almost £10 to set what kind of exercise I want to display on my Fitbit. Joke!
i think all these fancy features are a total waste. if you're going over all those metrics you need to get a life. just go to the gym regularly, get to sleep on time, and don't eat junk food. this isn't rocket science, folks. it's like analyzing all your physiological data when taking a shit. what have you accomplished??

I literally came back just so I could find this definitely putting it in my planner as a reminder
This is unfortunately to be expected, especially when it comes to free trials. That's why I'm doing this research and I appreciate the heads-up.
yea sadly most companies do this shit. pretty predatory, especially towards older people
It's so annoying and just a money grabbing thing that I hope is going to hurt them in the long run even if it helps their bottom line in the short term
Thanks for the info 😊

I'm sorry you feel that. Hopefully you can find something that is a little more helpful
@@FitnessWithFrost I found it very informative, great video man
That you very much!
@@FitnessWithFrost awesome vid, this guy just leaves hate comments on all of the review videos
I appreciate Cardi B. I think I know your favorite artist
This has been quite helpful. Some of those items behind a pay-wall is very disappointing. Thanks for clearing this up.
No problem! I'm glad I could help
And the new history bevore the wall is disapointing too now.

Really helpful video, been trying to find a clear comparison for the last month and you've answered all my questions
I'm glad I could be helpful!

good video man. thanks for letting us know what is included. i didn't know you can only track 7 days at a time only for health metrics.
I'm glad I could help!
The fact that they only show the last 7 days of metrics, for free, is what made me decide for another brand instead of Fitbit.
I totally understand this. I think with enough people making this decision they will change this. At least I hope so
I'm also curious as well
I'm curious about the pixels watch right now. It hasn't been officially announced, but I'm heading the announcement might be January or February
Does that mean that my last 4 of years of data is not accessible?
It's accessable, but you will not be able to see graphs to see trends
hi thank you for this, I was wondering do you need to get premium if all you want to do is count steps and calories?
How do I see my actual time spent in stone 2 cardio… I can’t like see what time my heart rate was x, just the graph. Not a premium user
I've brought a fitbit inspire 2 with 1 year free premium subscription. Do you enter a code in the app to activate the premium service? How does it work? Great video. Thank you.
It sounds be added on when you register the device. If not I would try and contact their customer service. I'm glad you enjoyed the video

Yes you should get that and you can teach it for 7 days at a time without premium

True. They definitely have the ability to use this data Hopefully they do

Yep. Same . Super annoying that they take away those metrics if you’re not premium.
I really hope they come to their senses soon
@@FitnessWithFrost hahha yeah right. I think it might be the only feature people might want to sign up for premium. At least me.
Hello just found your channel. Got a new fitbit inspire yesterday and like this
I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Good luck with your inspire
Beauty and the beast is much older than Disney. It was written in 1740. So, no copyright.
Hello this great video! Can you make a video with the different between fitbit charge 5 and the whoop 4.0?
Funny enough that's going to be the focus of my next couple videos
Does the strong Will teach how to smack?
I don't think I'm following that

@@naythunkaprisun858 well that's good to know
I bought a Fitbit recently that's giving me 6 months free of the premium
Yeah the majority of the Fitbits do come with anywhere from 3 to 6 months
Thanks for the video ? In your opinion, what do you think is the best fitness tracker ?
That's a very broad question because someone's best fitness tracker will be different than someone else's. I love my Whoop 4.0 but I wouldn't recommend it to everyone

Yeah with the new Charge 6 and Pixel Watch 2 I'm going to be doing an update on this video in the next couple of weeks

super helpful. really appreciate it!

Oh I know. I'm getting a new editing laptop soon. I've since taken music out until then
Only 7 days for free ? Lol good luck Fitbit 😂
Yeah it's pretty rough. You do get like 6 months with the Charge 5, but I still think this paid program is not the way to go
It's not for me... a lot of useless stuff. Thanks for sharing this.

There only way for them to learn is if people leave their platform
