So glad I found this video. I signed up online three times but never received any info. Someone had posted the cutting requirements in a FB post so I managed to get everything cut. But I never did find the video on NYD. Can't wait to start on my piecing!
It was challenging. I will take the rest of the week to finish the Mystery Quilt 2025. I learned yesterday's quilt-a-long to not go past 5 hours. I wanted to keep going until I had all of the Block 1 done by the end of the day. Going into the 6th hour I began making major mistakes. Fortunately, only on one block of Unit 3. Now to figure out to remove the stitching holes from picking out the threads! I'm thinking with an iron and a damp cloth.
I enjoyed this more calming video today than the one yesterday. I learned more from this video. Thank you. Hopefully, I will eventually finish this quilt.
I’ve been watching you since you and Jenny did some videos. You’ve come a long way and have maintained your humor, great explanations and creativity. 😊. Looks like a cool quilt to work on techniques. Bravo! (I prefer solo tutorials because people tend to talk over each other but I’ll give a listen to the two of you).
Very helpful Rob! I got a bit lost on the second block and this video helped me lots. BTW, did you notice that the printed instructions for your unit #4 didn't match the engineered pre-cut kit? We had triangles with your color way and didn't have to do any cutting which was really nice. Enjoyed the NYD MQA a LOT! Thank you!!

Fun! Loved this. Just the right amount of easy piecing with great results. Thank you! 😊

I’m working on the quilt right now. If you press those to the center and not to corners they will nest in constructing block. FYI 😊

Happy New Year Rob🎉❤
Thank you Rob!!!
OH ROB, I MISSED THE POLAR PLUNGE.
Are these from pre cuts? We had to uses 2 1/2 squares. Many extra steps. This you are foing is easier.
No, from yardage. Stitching heaven sold a kit with pre-cut pieces which is what he is using. The cutting instructions are in the video description.
Is there a precut kit for this?
❤🎉
