What a lovely garden! The pink Crape Myrtle brightens up the garden! I love Crape Myrtle too and have grown several. My favorite is the color With Love Eternal. Today I ordered a Crape Myrtle with dark leaves for the first time! I chose white flowers.

Any tips on pruning a Crape Myrtle tree so it flowers as beautifully as your Tuscarora Crape Myrtle? Thank you!

Crepe Myrtles should be pruned back to the main framework of the tree after the leaves have fallen - usually by the end of May. This should be done every year. Basically you are pruning off any branches that had flower on them, as flowering for the following year will happen on new growth. Any other questions we are happy to help in-store or you are welcome to call our Gardening Advice Hotline, available Mondays and Wednesdays from 9-10am - 0403 222 308.
