Great video, and thanks for not only showing the work, but how you sourced the materials. Very helpful.

The one difference in getting stainless steel from a hardware store & a trailer part store is the hardware store stainless doesn’t have enough tensel strength. And over time they will bend and rust. I’ve been down that road before .. yiu just have to inspect them periodically and replace them as needed , there’s a good trailer part store here in St. Petersburg Florida that sells everything dirt cheap.. and that’s one of the places I hit up when I need parts because they will have exactly what I need..

Thank you for the video I enjoy your work, keep it up and your views will grow.
My trailer tongue is longer than yours - I wanted it that way for shallow water launches up here in Florida's Big Bend.

@@oneofakindoutdoors I have a 13" Whaler with a 1981 hull, 2005 Yamaha 40 and 2006 trailer. When I refit it last spring I elevated the console maybe 6" and pushed it forward about 4" which has been much better for my back and helped with distribution of weight. I'm better at boating than fishing but go for Redfish, Seatrout, Spanish Mackerel and like that out of St. Marks, Spring Creek, Ochlocknee Bay and sometimes Carrabelle and Apalachicola. When we lived in SWF I logged many miles around Sanibel, Estero Bay, Rookery Bay and Marco Island. I bought it from someone in Cape Coral who initially used it in Biscayne Bay - that little boat has been around I imagine yours's has quite a history too! btw Phoebe is my Grandmothers name I'm just a goofy guy who wishes he had your energy.

dude that sounds like a dope whaler. I do wish mine had a Yamaha because I've always been on boats with them and they never have problems. That's awesome I'm sure they were all fun fights in the small whaler i'm hoping I can get a Mahi on mine because that video would be insane. I'm sure its cool to think that these boats have had so many memories with a ton of people. that's awesome! and thanks man I appreciate it
