Based on the dorsal fin that is either a Hammerhead or Great White Shark. Both are extremely dangerous to human beings. Thats a dusky shark by the dorsal fin, rare in these waters, bt there was a positive identification off new york 2 weeks ago, unusual water currents coming from topical waters is bring all sorts of unusual things to our northeastern shores.
Judging by the fin shape, you're looking at a juvenile white shark. The ragged edge on the triangular dorsal is a dead giveaway. Not a sandtiger, it has clean lines on it's fin, Not a hammerhead, they have narrow, tall fins.

Sand tiger sharks and scalloped hammerheads are not aggressive towards humans and don't generally go near us.
