Totally agree with the other comments: no need to apologize for the “boring” bits, it’s all fascinating and it’s always a pleasure to watch people passionate about their work, whatever the subject. Imagine the lucky owners being able to see the level of perfectionism that goes into these builds. Been watching for years, please don’t change a thing!
I think to be fair, if comments are suggesting parts come across as “boring”? Those viewers should find a different channel to watch. This channel is interesting, informative & worth every minute to watch. I regularly watch these guys put in such effort, it puts main manufacturers to shame. Keep up the great work.. 👍
Friend, to you it may not be very exciting on video but most of us subscribers, we love the content. We like to see everything we can. Thanks for the upload.
I am staggered at the amount of time that is being spent on the Churchill Jag. Especially on the lead work! When I worked in Rootes Group in 1960's the tinkers were working on a fleet of Humber Imperials for the Shah of Iran, & they had to be perfect, as they were being painted black, only took a couple of days to seal all seams and welds across the whole bodies. There were only three of these tinkers on them!
Definitely interested in the ins and outs of the zinc metal gun. To be fair most of us on here would watch if you did voice overs and run throughs on making a jam sandwich. Keep the fantastic content coming 👍👍👍👍👍
I was building a dash for my Maserati, it's not as hard as you would think. I brought digets and markers from a watch manufacturer in China. I am using the Bosch gearbox sender and BMW dash pod actuator to keep the maths and Speedo correctly synchronised. I am just making the face in Blue with Nickel plated digets, I chose Nickel as it has a yellow tinge but they will make anything you want. It is easier to do this than monkey with the sweep speed angle to match the painted 80s Maser dash and as the letters markers are raised making backlighting easy to read now.
Where would Sunday evening be without Uncut? Can't tell you how many happy hours I've spent (like most viewers I suspect) visualising what you could realise for me if I had the wherewithal!
Churchill looks soooo amazing, a shape to die for !! Thx a lot for this wonderfully in-boring video. To me it’s really amazing what amount of things can go wrong and need improving when you finish these cars… like all the things you found on the land cruiser or the diff on the morris etc.
Please do show all of the bits boring or not! Thank you for everything you share! As far as zinc metal spray…I will be glued to the video! I have been waiting for more info on the zinc metal spray, especially the setup and processes! THANK YOU!
Why are people saying certain parts of builds are boring? I personally find ALL the different aspects of the metalwork and mechanical witchcraft fascinating. Can't please some people, I suppose. My Sunday's aren't complete till I've had my Retropower fix. Keep 'em coming please. Has Retropower ever done a diesel engined project? What are your thoughts on battery (🤮) projects in the future?
I absolutely love the cover art on the Land Cruiser owner's manual. That's a wonderful touch that really highlights the level of detail you all attain. Fantastic stuff as always.
Epic to see Churchill don't apologise for aesthetics I suspect like most who watch this channel we're as interested in the engineering as much as the style element. Been such a pleasure to watch Churchill - it's going to look amazing when painted. Talking abut paint oh god the escorts look amazing and you've not even had them detailed - it looks as the if the paint is still liquid. Best to Bobby on the titanium (I have a couple of posts due to cycle accident) can imagine why he went back to Bulgaria for the implants as it's bloody expensive here in the UK.
It would be nice to get a final look at the interior of the Landcruiser before handover. It had so much time lavished upon it, yet I don’t remember seeing an episode depicting the finished result.
Would you consider to start producing some of the mk1 escort stuff, like the billet pedals, bonnet hinges, uprated wiper assemblies, i dont think theres anything out there, Its all mk2 stuff, especially the wiper assemblies, another cracking vid tho..
Every video your produce is so inspiring and makes me and surely other expand there knowledge and goals or aims with own projects. A year or so on since your expansion can we assume with more in house projects etc. that more space will be needed in the workshop going forwards?
Always an interesting watch. Like the tool/tech but too. However, I struggle with the Churchill design. To my eye the changes to the rear of the roof have made the windscreen look too upright and the front of the roof too high! You may have done this to avoid changing the windscreen, but it spoils the side profile IMO.
I'm concerned that the rear now looks too high/heavy and the rear track is slightly too narrow. I suspect that will resolve itself when it's viewed from further away.
I really enjoyed the review of the new 3d printer. I manage a small machine shop with a some industrial CNC machines. Fusion is very powerful and 3d models can be machined very easily with fusion's Cam, a CNC router would be a useful addition to the shop...the question what table size should you go for?

By coincidence, I just received my X1C last Monday! The first 3D printer for me. Has been printing ASA parts since just by clicking ”print”. I’ve got a roll of PAHT-CF waiting as well but haven’t tried that yet.
I've seen nylon + carbon parts. Very impressive, like a block of aluminium. At the same trade show, there was a laser welding machine, which allegedly makes welding very easy, even for beginners. It doubles as a surface cleaner. At CDN $23,000, not for the home shop, but for the right business it could be worthwhile. How soon it comes down in cost is open. Those two identical tanks on the Land Cruiser will bite someone sooner or later, even with the caps labelled. If the caps are identical, they will get swapped. As a student of Murphy's Law, I'm not even sure that making the caps totally incompatible, (e.g. different diameter necks) will totally prevent disaster, but it would be a good start.
I was wondering if it would be possible to integrate a solid rear window in to the hinge down roll bar on the E type Jag and make it like a Targa top. Assuming that the bar will be left in the low position for normal driving it will not detract from the look of the vehicle, however if the roof needs to be deployed then having a solid rear window would be a lot more desirable
That would be a very nice touch. A friend runs TR4, I have a Spitfire. The Spit has an unzippable rear window, the TR doesn’t. Driving in hot sun, the roofs shade but the ventilation makes the Spit much more comfortable. I’ve toyed with fitting an MR4 rear window, but it’s too big, but I do like the idea still.
Love the show even the boring bit's, just wondered if you watch other RUclips show's and judge there work i guess as your prefectionist at everything you do it would be hard not to,,, wish i could afford to bring a few cars over lol
Churchill is definitely a cool looking car but i have come to the conclusion that it needs an inch out of the front screen hight. i don't mean any disrespect by this observation but feel it would enhance the side profile.
The escorts are looking good. 👌👌👌 but I would still prefer the Murray escort. It don’t look like a race car just looks like a standard twin cam. All beautiful cars though.
The proportions of Project Norman look like they're going to be fantastic! Really looking forward to seeing how this project unfolds. BUT!...........the wheels and tyres. Oh dear! They look like something off a late seventies/early eighties American wannabe luxury car. They just spoil it in my opinion. The rest is just stunning.
I know I have asked this before but maybe you missed it, whats with all the carbon fiber, these are not racing cars so why go to the expense, is it just so the customer can say I've got carbon fiber panels on my car, surely shape can be achieved with metal ? Got to say it's very interesting how far cad printing has come, many years ago I worked for AND1 and we obtained a printer that would print a shoe so that the designers could get a real idea how it would be, today it is so much further, pity I am now retired.
Your skills in solid modelling and 3d printing should be able to address the problems of nasty vintage zinc based die castings and chrome plating. I note that several companies are now offering to take a solid model and produce a brass investment casting. If I remember aright, the Camargue had stainless steel investment cast door handles, which must have been horrid to polish but never rusted!
What a great channel, I love the techy stuff and fascinated by the way you all work together, left hand knows what the right hand is doing, reference to the "boring stuff" to some it maybe, it has kept me glued to my monitor viewing what you all do (please keep it in) I have subscribed, so will get my friends that are into cars to subscribe, thanks for the content

Please do not apologize for this amazing free content :)

Really interesting to hear about the CANBUS to analogue gauge converters. Looking forward to hearing more about the PDM and ECU side on the Escorts

@@fraserwright9482Fantastic, thank you for that. I was thinking of attempting something similar on my TVR.
I bet the little bits of tape with writing on them are really motivational
Churchill is absolutely awesome !! And beautiful, cannot wait to see it done 😍
In side view the roofline of Churchill looks perfect, flows nicely into the line of the trunk.

Fascinating as ever. Love this insight to see how these rolling sculptures are made.

I used to have a place in Bulgaria, and I have British friends who have all their dental work done out there….
GYS are good welders. I have a 400amp version.
Made in France rather than China is a plus.
Spotto Fibonacci sequence 😉 Love all of the bits, boring or otherwise!! 👌👌
Great episode, CAD/CAM developments are really interesting. I'm starting to get the E-Type design more.
It would be nice to get a final look at the interior of the Landcruiser before handover. It had so much time lavished upon it, yet I don’t remember seeing an episode depicting the finished result.
Agreed. Seeing cars outside, in daylight would be welcome too (weather permitting). Interiors are often easier to see then in particular.
Saw you on the road with the Land cruiser last week... looking good 👍
That paint job
Would you consider to start producing some of the mk1 escort stuff, like the billet pedals, bonnet hinges, uprated wiper assemblies, i dont think theres anything out there, Its all mk2 stuff, especially the wiper assemblies, another cracking vid tho..

Always an interesting watch. Like the tool/tech but too.

Who drew the Fibonacci Spiral on the whiteboard? Interesting!
It might be the golden ratio it’s a very similar pattern.
Also the golden ratio was discovered before the Fibonacci sequence
I thought car designers use it a lot anyway ?

would it not be possible to 3D print wheel-arch liners?
Please fit bumpers on the jag coupe 🤞
Did I see a Jag bonnet mold in the blast room??
Watching the Jag "roll bar" going up and down and listening for Homer Simpson's "bed goes up, bed goes down" did disappoint.
How have you not painted the spotlight covers on the land cruiser?
Maybe because the customer and owner doesn't want them to?
