Love the deep dive into Land Cruiser, going forward this is a must for each vehicle. (Including Morris when you get it back in for snagging)
Totally agree. A walkthrough of all the feature’s when complete is amazing. Showing off all the attention to little things, interior features, etc.
What a result on the Landcruiser, absolute dream. Good for another Half century at least👍🏻
The two door conversion on the MK2 Jag looks fantastic The work has been drastic but nothing is made of plastic That pinstripe brought the Escort home really finished off the beautiful two tone The blue E Type I really like from what it was before it's day and night No wonder at Retropower you're busy alright You've had a winner not a loser with the craftsmanship on that Land Cruiser You can take it to all kinds of adventurous places and the offroad lights have smiley faces Xilan goin above and beyond but for longevity it's like waving a magic wand The engine makes it a beast of which to be fond Every component practically donned Thanks Cal
The Toyota looks amazing! The details are what make it so special! For people who didn't know would think it was designed like that, I think that is a great advert for a successful resto=mod so that it doesn't look like someone has messed with it.The new owner will be thrilled with it!
The detail on that LC is simply amazing. I love that it looks relatively standard but the more you look, the more you see. Brilliant work as always.
You probably could have heard my eyes rolling from the other side of the world when you first introduced us to the Land Cruiser, far from my favourite type of vehicle. You have however knocked it out of the park. Hell, I’d probably drive it given the chance. Great work 🙂
Astonishingly good work on the Land Cruiser gentlemen. The attention to detail is just brilliant, kudos to you all.
Absolutely beautiful Landcruiser. Form and function.
In classical Greek, the word 'beauty', refers to the appropriateness a thing has for its task; this build is beautiful.
Saw this at the Bicester Scramble yesterday. An incredibly well engineered installation and ‘Resto-mod’.
Very impressive 👍
Everything is in the details.
Land Cruiser looks fantastic! One detail I would have done, paint the break booster assembly black.
The Jeep build has been wonderful to watch, the skills you and the team have put into this have been tremendous, hats off to you all. The customer has got to be well pleased with this build. Well done team and stay well.
Great idea to summarise the whole build like this. Really enjoyed it.
Amazing attention to detail & superb quality, If they did bikes as well I'd love to take my Harley to them and get them to re-work that 🤔
Fantastic to watch the Landcruiser build - attention to detail is extraordinary. Hope your client is pleased - I'd be :)
It takes a bit of Hutzpa to take on perfecting a Toyota- for the money they are sold for always solid; but RP did an awesome job to get it to where you have, and still have the flavor. Churchill is going to be as important a car for your shop as Gordon's was- it is awesome and the Twenty USD paint job hasn't even started!
☕️on feet up 👍🏻😉👏👏
Great to see detailed walk through of the Land Cruiser. I have followed the build from the start but you tend to forget the immense amount of work that goes in. I would be great to see this for future completed cars.
Great episode as always guys. Love this content
Much awaited, much appreciated looking forward to excellent work as always from you.
Hey Loving the LandCruiser....and its come to fruition in an amazing way....However, I can't see a place to put 'stuff'...ie the glove box has now got the aircon behind it. If its a beach and cruising around vehicle the glovebox will keep being opened and there is no space. It's a simple thing that will drive them mad. A simple way to fix this will be to put some canvas nets (like a 50-60's rally car?) on the roof where the sun visors are and some next to your knees. Not having somewhere to put sunglasses, a book or chamois to wipe the screen without it being an exercise will get tedious really quickly.
I love what you do so this wasn't really a criticism, just a helpful suggestion.
Churchill looks amazing although it’s still in metal. Cannot wait to see the body colour to go with the copper brightwork. It’s going to be rather spectacular. Great walk though on the Land Cruiser. Not my favourite build but your engineering standards shine and I’m sure the owner will be pleased.
The lLand Cruiser looks incredible. My only gripe (knowing that not everyone is into it) if I we're in the position to do a project vehicle like this would be a more sophisticated audio system befitting this kind of build. I can dream...
Land Cruiser Looks Amazing !!
5:39 sander (?) in the background reminded me of Terminator 2. And like Arnie, Retropower will be back!
Right on time. 👍🏼
Amazing
Wow 🤩 ❤!
Unreal build... The most expensive Land Cruiser in the world?.. And has a JBL audio system..😅😮
Fantastic episode as usual and the Land Cruiser looks amazing. I was surprised to see the door key and fuel door key cylinders left chrome rather than zylon coated to suit door handles,Also what diff ratio did you use.Did the transmission gearing make up for diesel ratio being ok to use with the V8.
Love it as usual, which electric compressor did you choose?
Loving the Escorts!
Err why is there a 5pin F XLR hanging under the dash of the Land Cruiser??
Fantastic work as always, but I couldn’t help noticing the illegal number plates. I’m assuming they will be changed before delivery?
I may have missed it but has a colour been chosen for the 2 door Jag?
What's the 5-pin XLR connector for that's hanging under the Toyota dash?
Could you please explain why you decided to go with a reflective front number plate, but an 'old school' rear one? I don't doubt that you thought long and hard before making that decision, but I'm wondering what your thinking was. Thank you for the video btw; I particularly enjoyed the in-depth Land Cruiser review. Could we see your final shakedown trip prior to handover?
Hi , what brake servo and master cylinder have you used on the land cruiser?
like 244 ! All good
Curious as to the curly-que line routing off the Escort fuel tank(s)
It stops pressure on seals and vapour. Like the s bend in your loo. You only have the foot of pipe pulling not the side of your compartment tank as the mount on the body for the filler neck is mid height of the fuel tank. Without this swirl you park it nose up and it would Syphon out the neck or into the compartments. But that swirl keeps a piston of air stopping it which is failsafe.
LOL. I laughed my ass off when you said fag lighter.
I haven't lived in England for many years, and my aural sensitivity is very American these days. So funny 0:19
Oh why didn't you take us for a cruise, we still haven't heard the 1UJZ do it's thing.
As nice as the Land Cruiser is - and surely, it is - the originals were truly beat 'em about vehicles, subjected to the most cruel usage over the years. Their character still managed to shine through of course. Myself, I just couldn't own or drive this one - it's simply 'too nice'. A beater version, 'fer sure'.
I suspect it won't be bush bashing any time soon. But my goodness, it's a credit to the team. Beautifully done!
At least needs wide wheels and PHAT rubber - and with all that grunt I'd have gone permanent 4wd straight from the 80Series!
To avoid confusion, fag lighter = cigarette lighter = 12v accessory socket
😆😆 yes, well pointed out
_CIGAR_
Is that '68 Camaro? It looks like Harrop's one
Well ears are sore true but what a magic thing 😂
Toyota is fantastic, well done, love all the little billet bits etc etc, but then you used one of THOSE number plate lamps, come on everyone knows they are shit, brilliant job though love it👍
Weekly uTube like distributed
WTF is a ramp,, I feel you are referring to the hoist
Only thing I do not like is the Automatic
The Land Cruiser thing has gone on too long. I find it only mildly interesting technically or as a vehicle or as shape uninteresting, just a box ! Why anyone would want one or go to the vast expense of creating this is beyond me. Self indulgence gone mad. I salute the effort but the result is still as the new original second rate as a SUV. I look forward to it being handed over to the customer.
The beauty of them was their rugged simplicity - Toyota took the crappy jeep and made it work for the Outback! I'd love one on coils with 80Series running gear and not much else. The ultimate beach-bug!
I have a brother in law running and owning two large farming operations in Australia, He swears by his old Defender, for the same reasons you mentioned, I have one, from new these last 17 years, as a third car, no issues at all) Mine has never seen the inside of a garage, sits outside. It just goes. The owner of this Toyota will be facing a bill of £300,000 plus from these boys. Now you decide is it worth it ??? The answer must be no in any sane world. It's nice junk but still junk. Like lipstick on a pig you might say. @@dancarter482

Quote "It's a ridicules thing to say we have been battling door cards" that's because they are DOOR PANELS, what weirdo decided to change the name? makes me cringe EVERY time I hear it.
Americans -- who else?
If you're going to watch a British RUclips channel, maybe learn their (slightly different) car vocabulary rather than complaining about it.
@@rennkafer13 The complaint is that a British channel is adopting American terminology.
@johnbriggs3916 every Brit I know says door cards, the Americans say door panels.
@rennkafer13 As Joe Scarborough says, "To quote Plato in a debate with Socrates 'Now you're just making shit up'."
No noise insulation in the Landcruiser?
Any progress on the colour of the mk 2. Ecosse blue is nice.
