I appreciate that MH sticks up for islam but I feel like his education with philosophy really made him over complicate conversations with people. I feel like he tries to outsmart people into believing islam when islam is already the truth that can pierce the heart and mind without all the extra jargon. These beneficial series of videos explain 2 affairs: 1) Prophetic dawah was using the Qur'an to argue with the disbelievers, the Prophet sallallahu 'alaihi wasalam did not use a method outside the Qur'an, such as Greek Philosophy. 2) Greek Philosophy fails to do what Hijab claims it does - it does not lead to proving Allah's existence, and that He, subhanahu wata 3la deserves to be worshipped alone. Rather, hijab himself got overpowered using this method and was forced to concede this fact.

However if you compare their arguments with the argument of Allah in the Quran [52:35], that one verse makes their arguments mean nothing. To be honest bro/sis, the reason why there is clarity in Shamsis Dawah and not in Hijabs is because one of them speaks based on true Islamic knowledge following the methodology of the prophets and the Messengers and one of them doesn’t. The Prophets and the Messengers Alayhim as salaat was Salam, we’re not philosophers, they didn’t call people to Allah based upon speculation or guesswork, or philosophicaly deduced faulty arguments. They came and they established the proof upon the people with clear signs and clear knowledge. Islam is meant for everyone and we know that the people are of varying levels of intellect. From the Harvard professor to the nomad living in the desert; Islam came to all of them. When we stick to the Quran and the Sunnah upon the understanding of the companions RadiyAllahu’anhum then how can we be wrong? Allah praised them, the Prophet SullAllahu alayhi wassalam praised them! We cannot be wrong this way but many people follow their own understanding and then they attribute to Islam that which is not from it or even worse they negate things that ARE from Islam. It all returns back to seeking knowledge from trusted and correct sources. If you want to purify your religion and be upon the pure truth then you have to purify your sources of knowledge. You wouldn’t draw water from a filthy well and expect it to be clean would you, so let us purify our knowledge and take from the trusted sources. May Allah guide us, aameen

In all the many years that I've been watching speakers corner videos, I've never seen anyone accept Islam with Mohammed Hijab. If anyone actually has entered Islam from his dawah, then it's probably due to a philosophical argument which they liked or his fancy words, not due to the Quran and the correct understanding of who Allah is.
I haven't thought of this before But surprisingly you are right. On the other hand, many people convert to Islam after talking to Shamsi (sorry for my english😅)

I used to think Mohammed hijabs dawah was good at dawah and he was the best da’ii. But then when I started watching shamsi’s videos then I understood that this is true dawah. Also what u said is true I have seen many of Mohammed Hijab’s videos yet I cannot remember a single one where someone takes the shahada compared to shamsi doing dawah.

Allah has attributes that are fi’uliyyah and Dhaatiyyah. Fi’uliyyah are his chosen actions that are connected to his will, Allah spoke to Musa alayhi Salam, but he didn’t speak to me. So Allah chooses who he speaks to according to his will. But the attribute of Speech in and of itself is always with Allah eternally, it’s part of his essence. Allah is the creator, and he creates whatever he wills, whenever he wills. He’s still using the same argument though, that’s the point of the video- if you use arguments outside of the book and the sunnah which are built upon aristotellian mechanics, you are just going to lead people to confusion and confuse yourself. The best speech is in the book of Allah and the sunnah of his prophet. Also, Shamsi mentions at the end of the video that Hijab has taken back some of his statements in that debate however he was using that debate as an example of philosophy going wrong.

There are statements from the Salaf stating this. I know from personal experience, before Salafiyyah, when I was with the khawarij and the ikhwanis, you noticed they all had their own DIY Creed and 'opinions' on creedal matter, even though, on the surface, they appeared to be one group. While with the Salafis, you really get a sense of true brotherhood, and everyone using the same yardstick, the Creed of the Salaf. When it came to matters of Creed, the Salafis speak as one. With the people of innovations, you would get a few dozen different opinions on a single matter of Creed.

And also, even people who hold PhD's and have advanced understanding in science fields or whatever, would love to hear you(the person who has a different belief than them) make your example simple and reach the point quickly and Alhamdulilah despite the simplicity of examples Shamsi uses and the examples we find in the Quran and the Sunnah, they can't be challenged anyhow.
So yeah, if there's something I learned from Shamsi's videos it's that he presents clear basic yet powerful examples and make the other person question that example and then presents to him the one and only answer, he do it again and again and again in a short time with different examples and helps the other person realize the one and only truth which is Islam. With Hijab, I noticed it takes so long for him to make a point and it's usually through a complex philosophical example which leads to lose of interest with many people (even me, the viewer) and unfruitful disscussion unfortunately.
I might be wrong and Allah knows best, I love both brothers for Allah's sake otherwise I wouldn't have written this comment, may Allah help them in their Dawah. Ameen
To be honest bro/sis, the reason why there is clarity in Shamsis Dawah and not in Hijabs is because one of them speaks based on true Islamic knowledge following the methodology of the prophets and the Messengers and one of them doesn’t.
The Prophets and the Messengers Alayhim as salaat was Salam, we’re not philosophers, they didn’t call people to Allah based upon speculation or guesswork, or philosophicaly deduced faulty arguments. They came and they established the proof upon the people with clear signs and clear knowledge.
Islam is meant for everyone and we know that the people are of varying levels of intellect. From the Harvard professor to the nomad living in the desert; Islam came to all of them.
When we stick to the Quran and the Sunnah upon the understanding of the companions RadiyAllahu’anhum then how can we be wrong? Allah praised them, the Prophet SullAllahu alayhi wassalam praised them!
We cannot be wrong this way but many people follow their own understanding and then they attribute to Islam that which is not from it or even worse they negate things that ARE from Islam.
It all returns back to seeking knowledge from trusted and correct sources. If you want to purify your religion and be upon the pure truth then you have to purify your sources of knowledge.
You wouldn’t draw water from a filthy well and expect it to be clean would you, so let us purify our knowledge and take from the trusted sources.

In all the many years that I've been watching speakers corner videos, I've never seen anyone accept Islam with Mohammed Hijab. If anyone actually has entered Islam from his dawah, then it's probably due to a philosophical argument which they liked or his fancy words, not due to the Quran and the correct understanding of who Allah is.
I haven't thought of this before But surprisingly you are right. On the other hand, many people convert to Islam after talking to Shamsi (sorry for my english😅)

Someone correct me if I am wrong. Is the correct belief that Allah's attribute of speech is eternal , but when he speaks, is in accordance with his will and therefore not eternal?
Allah has attributes that are fi’uliyyah and Dhaatiyyah.
Fi’uliyyah are his chosen actions that are connected to his will, Allah spoke to Musa alayhi Salam, but he didn’t speak to me. So Allah chooses who he speaks to according to his will.
But the attribute of Speech in and of itself is always with Allah eternally, it’s part of his essence. Allah is the creator, and he creates whatever he wills, whenever he wills.

الحديث الصحيح: ((مَا مِنْكُمْ مِنْ أَحَدٍ إِلا سَيُكَلِّمُ رَبَّهُ لَيْسَ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَهُ تُرْجُمَانٌ)) يعني بلا واسطة، وهذا يوم القيامة والخلقُ حالَ الحساب يُكلّم الله من شاء بعد من شاء.

He’s still using the same argument though, that’s the point of the video- if you use arguments outside of the book and the sunnah which are built upon aristotellian mechanics, you are just going to lead people to confusion and confuse yourself.
The best speech is in the book of Allah and the sunnah of his prophet.
Also, Shamsi mentions at the end of the video that Hijab has taken back some of his statements in that debate however he was using that debate as an example of philosophy going wrong.
It’s not a debate it’s a refutation of Hegab who still is a philosopher and spreading deviations to Muslim masses.

I know from personal experience, before Salafiyyah, when I was with the khawarij and the ikhwanis, you noticed they all had their own DIY Creed and 'opinions' on creedal matter, even though, on the surface, they appeared to be one group. While with the Salafis, you really get a sense of true brotherhood, and everyone using the same yardstick, the Creed of the Salaf. When it came to matters of Creed, the Salafis speak as one. With the people of innovations, you would get a few dozen different opinions on a single matter of Creed.
