Hi everyone! That's me at 7:48 - the Hatchetfield cheerleader!! (Go Nighthawks!) I had no idea how much joy my cosplay would bring to everyone I met at the show (including Team Starkid themselves🙃). I was genuinely in shock when Meredith pulled out her camera, and I can't believe I made it into the vlog 😭
For those wondering, I made that costume myself and it took me about a month to make (but like, not a continuous month- there were plenty of days off in between my sewing dates). But also, like, I had only started sewing a month before I made the costume, so I'm really proud of it. In fact, I signed up for those beginner's sewing classes because I knew I wanted to make the cheerleader costume from NPMD for the show, and now I have this cool new skill! 😜
Also, for Team Starkid, if you could hear us singing in the matinee meet & greet line (while we were waiting for the meet & greet to start), the girl with the dark hair in the pink floral jumpsuit at 7:22 basically started most of the songs, including "Go Go Nighthawks". However, when we got to the Nighthawks cheer section, everyone in line had immediately shut up and they let me do that cheer and dance solo. ("N, I-G, H-T! Ah Ah! Kss!") Then, in true Starkid fan fashion, they came back in right on cue with the guys' football chant ("Nighthawks, Nighthawks, Nighthawks- Fight!"), and I felt like a million bucks at that moment. So thank you to everyone in the matinee meet & greet line for making that happen and I love us for picking up what each other put down💕. Nighthawks fly! (Ah! Ah!) 💙📣

I was in the audience for the performance and although Clark didn't get as big a cheer at the end of I Was, the room was so quiet during you could hear a pin drop. I think the room was so stunned by his beautiful voice. Big love to Clark!!!

Meredith thank you so much for all the BTS videos!! The weekend looked so special and I'm so incredibly happy for everyone who got to perform and attend. The Starkid fanbase is so special and that's because we can tell that so much love goes into creating everything that you do, you guys create a loving and safe environment for people to just be silly and I just want to thank you for sharing your silliness with us!
And I agree, Back on Top is the best Starkid song and I love that Lauren and Joey had it on their wedding playlist. The Ani Medley from Homecoming is probably my favorite Starkid recording ever, the transitions between songs are so beautiful and I get chills every time I listen.
Also funny story about Back on Top, Ani was the last show that I watched when I first got into Starkid because I hadn't seen Star Wars so I didn't think I'd get it, but I watched a video of you guys performing at Geekycon in 2015 and Back on Top was so good that it convinced me to watch Ani.

I was at the evening show with my Dad and it was totally awesome because we got last minute tickets that afternoon, and i am so glad i looked up tickets that day. Thank you for the concert and for those vlogs! The fact that it happened only two weeks ago is unbelievable and this vid made me relive all of it.
Couldn't possibly mention all the little things that made the experience so great (with each one I want to list, a dozen more appear in my mind) so I'll just stick to saying that yes, we definitely felt all the feelings, all the heart you put into this show. Biggest applause to the whole crew!

Okay I just finished the video and I'm nearly crying again. It feels so strange that I can write things and meredith can actually see them so I'm trying not to just write my entire heart out at you but I want to share.
I never expected to love starkid as much as I do. I found the potter musicals when I was struggling with all the author problems and it felt like going back to hogwarts right when I needed it most. And then I watched npmd. And then I watched everything else. There's something so magical about what you guys have all created. Covering your songs on piano made me realise I still enjoy singing and performing for an audience sometimes and I'm starting to think about looking for more projects where I can. Your musicals and you guys in real life and all the lovely people I met at the palladium show friendship and love and joy and kindness and I'm grateful to have found you all. I will never forget starkid innit so thank you and keep being amazing! (I'm sorry this is long)
ps. I also am really inspired by all the stuff you do to help the environment, it gives me hope to see other people that care as sometimes I feel like I'm on my own. I also really love firebringer partly because of this, it reminds me why I love science and the planet and that I can make a difference.
